I thought it was. I was taught that it was an occult. And that it was about worshiping creative things other than God; and that we were little gods.

I read the bondage breaker from Neil T Anderson. And he talks about the new age movement. And so I've kind of learned a little bit from him.

But if I don't know much about New Age, and I got wrong information, I apologize. All I know is what I've read and what I have been taught.

Satanism is not the same as New Age. Satanists worship Satan. New Age people believe in different Gods but can even worship Jesus. New Age people do not worship Satan.

Just people who use the earth more for healing. I'm somewhat a Pagan Christian. I used to be Pagan. I only worship Jesus Christ but I have crystals and herbs I love still. Its kind of like that.

Many of the Founding Fathers of the New Age Movement studied Satanism. Many of the New Agers today unwittingly consult spirits of the Netherworld. Some believe that it is necessary to to know Lucifer whom they believe is the bearer of light. And that Lucifer is not Satan when he is. Some also believe that Christ is not needed for Ascension and Enlightenment. And there are some Christians that dabble in New Age. I will concede that I don't believe that Satanism is the origin of the New Age Occult. But it appears to me that the New Age movement is a bit of a Satanic Deception. I am not an expert on the subject, but I have been around it a bit and these are the things I have observed. Perhaps, you can give the video in the opening post a view again to see what I mean. Satanism isn't a real thing, what is much more common is occult practices, spells, summoning spirits. It's said that Adolph Hitler read Madame Blavatsky's book, The Secret Doctrine, nightly. It's a witches brew of astrology, evolution, science, religion and mythology. The New Age movement dabbled in this sort of thing but that was more trendy then anything else. Practicing the occult is profoundly dangerous and we know Satan and his dark spiritual forces are taking up residence in high places:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. (Eph. 6:10-13)

Before this he tells the Ephesians to submit to one another, husbands to wives, wives to husbands etc. Then when telling them how to take a stand against the schemes of the devil he describes the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness and taking a stand on the Gospel. Roman Commanders were not favored for what the conquered but what they could keep. The idea of taking a stand is keep what you have. What's more Rome wasn't built on warfare, they became powerful and gave a great gift to the world building roads and buildings. Christians do their most powerful work by edifying other believers in the faith, although there could come a time of spiritual conflict, it's not what you conquer but what you can keep and build on that's the prize.

If you really want to do something about the Devils schemes the apostle strongly recommends prayer since you'll never be able to stand alone without his help.
