I'm from the 80's and know a great deal about Slayer. Not only is the Satanic image a propaganda tool, but was intended to show how they fealt about the filth and hate in the world.Hobo[IG leader] said:Dunno if this thread already exists, but I thought that it's often pretty hard to tell if bands are satanic (sometimes its spelt out, so those are a little easier) so I thought this would be a good place to compile a list of satanic bands. No 'unchristian' bands that have 'bad' songs or themes or crap like that (Cradle of Filth), but just outright openly satanic bands. Such as the likes of:
Slayer

Nope. I certainly did not think anything of the sort when I put them up.ScottyL said:Lol Z500 that was funny.
But seriously, I have lots of CDs of "satanic" bands and I've never had any experiences.
I think you were afraid having those pics up would do something to you, and thats why it did.
Cultus_Diabolus said:You better be joking, especially after my post right before that. If you seriously think Black Sabbath is Satanic, then you just took the word you heard and never listened to them or read their lyrics. If you want a truly Christian song, go to some lyrics site and look up After Forever. Very blatantly Christian.
Satan doesn't always have to be a scary monster. Maybe he can come across as a doddering, sweet ol guy.Lvythn said:Ozzy Osbourne, however, is so far from being 'satanic' that it's ridiculous to mention him and Ol' Nick in the same sentence.
ScottyL said:It's not for you to decide whether Ozzy is satanic or not. It's between him and God.
Lol I just realized that I listen to most of the bands that have been posted here.
And having a picture up won't invite demons into your house, it must have been something else. You said you were dabbling in things you shouldn't have been, that was what did it, not the pictures.

Lvythn said:Bill Ward (the drummer) is something of an occultist, he wrote the title song.
Yes it will.ScottyL said:Oops, sorry, I got you mixed up.
but still, having pictures of a band up in your room won't attract demons.
ScottyL said:Just because it's not I LOVE JESUS HE DIED FOR ME I'LL SEE HIM IN HEAVEN WHEN I DIE doesn't mean it's not for God .....you need to think over what you're saying.
I'm sorry, but there IS a gray area. Like this song:
Nightwish - Sleeping Sun
The sun is sleeping quietly
Once upon a century
Wistful oceans calm and red
Ardent caresses laid to rest
For my dreams I hold my life
For wishes I behold my night
The truth at the end of time
Losing faith makes a crime
I wish for this night-time
to last for a lifetime
The darkness around me
Shores of a solar sea
Oh how I wish to go down with the sun
Sleeping
Weeping
With you
Sorrow has a human heart
From my god it will depart
I'd sail before a thousand moons
Never finding where to go
Two hundred twenty-two days of light
Will be desired by a night
A moment for the poet's play
Until there's nothing left to say
I wish for this night-time...
I wish for this night-time...
This isn't OMG I LOVE JESUS!!11!!!!1 But it isn't against God either.
and Howard, I have plenty of posters and CDs of satanic bands and I've never had any experiences. I'm very sensitive to that sort of thing too. I guess it varies from person to person, but I highly doubt it was the pictures that brought something in.
Apparently you aren't senstive to that.ScottyL said:and Howard, I have plenty of posters and CDs of satanic bands and I've never had any experiences. I'm very sensitive to that sort of thing too.
