His goal is irrelevant, its gods will that will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Not totally irrelevant, as I understand it. When we sin we put ourselves in his clutches. The Lord rescues us but expects us to learn from our mistakes. If we refuse to learn from our mistakes. life can be quite painful.

Satan's goal is for Christians to renounce their faith and non Christians to stay non Christians. His ways are of the world, money, power, women etc. using TV, music, books, celebs, sports, sad to say friends and family, and sometimes church ...
What motivates Satan to do what he does?

What motivates Satan to do what he does?

His hate for everything that is good and just, and the hate for the One that is the source of all good. Since Satan is pure evil, his nature is to hate righteousness, mercy and forgiveness.

His goal is to cause as much damage to the kingdom of God as possible. If he could he would even torture and kill God ... hey wait ... he allready did that ....

I do not know all of life’s mysteries, but it seems to me that Satan’s goal is to force us to bow down to him. He can’t show his face here on earth, so he settles for trying to force us to bow down to his chosen ones. What do you think?

Satan goal is to deceive just like God's goal is for you to be saved. But Satan can't force you to be deceived, just as much as God can't force you to be saved.

I think Satan was defeated by Jesus and taken away, that people have more faith in a nonexistent Satan than in the power of the Father, that people blame their own evil hearts on the Satan creature whose first lie was that he ever had the power that people give him credit for.

If you sin, Satan can put you in some pretty unpleasant situations. What is his motivation?

If you obey the commandments, you won't get burned by that cigar butt.

Not "by pride" rather "as a pride"

No, by pride.
Satan's motivation is what God said it is … "a roaring lion looking for someone to devour".

And one of the easier target for a roaring lion is human "pride" like looking to oneself in keeping the commandments to ward off the roaring lion.

I am influenced by the interaction of Satan and Jesus, when Satan kept telling Jesus to bow down to him.

Satan is foremost influence by his native language John 8:44 … which is the sound of a roaring lion. 1 Peter 5:8.

If one looks closely at the dialog, Jesus did not counter Satan's attacks by looking to himself using the "obeying the commandments" mindset … that approach has been proven unsuccessful in the Garden of Eden.

I think that, overall, you might be right.

Satan wanted to be God. So, us bowing down to him is definitely part of his main goal.

In the meantime, we could include deceiving humans to believe God doesn't exist, deceiving humans to believe that he doesn't exist, turning every soul he can, away from their savior and keeping as many as he can from going to paradise. Destroying as many lives as he can and making as many people miserable and getting them to blame it on God.

He also tries to destroy the perfection of male and female, the union of a man with a woman only, the hierarchy within a Christian marriage, the rise of woman's lib, the corruption of governments, the removal of anything Christian from our schools, the belief that we can earn our salvation, the deception that you can get to heaven through other religions.....

All of which are to deflect from God's will and destroy God's plans.... as he knows that he is not going to defeat his own creator and time is short.

I bet Satan works hard to get the worse out of us.

Actually, I think Satan does not have a problem with those who are unsaved when it comes to bad activity. He does best to convince man that they are good on their own and need not God.

Satan is the god of this world and he knows that the lake of fire is where he will end up. His goal is to take as many people with him; people were not intended to go to the lake of fire. The ones who go there will do so because they didn't believe and follow and adhere to the Gospel of Christ; instead they believed the lies of the devil.

I think Satan only has a problem with those who are unsaved... when they are heading on a road that leads to hearing the gospel.

Scripture is as clear as a bell on this and supports your understanding 110 percent.

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.
