This is not to point the finger at you(freeindeed) or anyone else inparticular... we are absolutely supposed to be on the same team, there are only 2 teams Luk 9:50And Jesus said unto him, Forbid [him] not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Not everyone who claims to be for Christ is and that's the sad part, anyone can take the label but that is not proof of anything, it is the fruits of our lives that count.

Luk 3:8Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Free, I can't believe you're asking this question after the PM you sent me, honestly.

How about you answer your own question here, and silently ask yourself...is the doctrine of the Seventh-day Adventist church against Christ?

Point blank...is our church your enemy?

I think it's best, in the midst of no debate here, that you take that as a rhetorical question because I already know the answer.

Jesus died on the cross for all of us. We're all Abraham's seed through Him....same team.

No we aren't on the same team, free.

I'm just being honest here.

We are a world apart!

It's not Jesus' way to go about harassing people.

By their fruits you shall know them!

And if my friend who likes to report me incessantly is thinking about reporting this post, just keep in mind that I am answering a question.

IMO, all who believe in Jesus alone for salvation are playing on the same team (body). We may look at things differently, but with some perspective of what's most important (Jesus) we should be able to admit that.

That's the problem, you don't think we believe in Jesus alone for salvation.

If you do, your perspective changed since the PM, which is good.

2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you may well put up with it.

The Jesus of mainline is a different Jesus that came through the beast power long after the Apostles.

Jesus is the only birthed Son of God, He is the last Adam. The first Adam was created but Jesus was birthed.

The Spirit of the New Covenant is not an eternal Spirit, but rather, was created through the life of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living soul.'' The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

The gospel that the Apostles taught is not one that says you die and go to heaven, but rather, you are resurrected to inherit the Kingdom.

Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

1 Corinthians 15:50-54 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory.''

This is the same gospel the Abraham heard, which is to inherit the kingdom, not die and go to heaven. Abraham died and has not yet received the promise because he has not yet been resurrected.

Are we still on the same team?

Even Jesus disagreed with this when He said:

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
(Mat 7:21-23)

I'm sure these people think they are following Him. Yet, they really aren't.

Sharring is not the same as debate...:groupray:

Very well. The Word was around before Christ's birth on earth. Christ is the Word.

"Before Abraham was, I am."

He preached to the people in Noah's time.

I think there's plenty of scriptural proof that Christ was God (not as in God the Father, just so we're clear) before being born through a woman.

He relied on God the Father just like you and I do while He was here.

I believe He really did die for our sins, and to do that, He couldn't be God when He did. God alone has immortality.

I also believe He really did sleep the sleep of death in order to be the Firstfruits of them that slept.

I think you and I agree on that part of it, but you seem to think He didn't exist before His birth here and I disagree. The Word became flesh through Him, but the Word was around long before His birth.

I can elaborate more if you'd like but we should start a new thread since Free's gonna thwack us for getting off-topic.

But yeah, saying what I just did, I wonder if Free considers himself on my team. I doubt it, but I love him anyway.

I agree too.

Isaiah 8:20.

Scripture tells us that not everyone can walk together. I accept that for exactly what it means.
