Human Rights Watch which has been very critical of the U.S lead invasion and occupation has authored these essays. If your are interested in more than rhetoric just take some time and click on a few of these links. You will find out that yes, Saddam was the largest mass murder of Muslims in history, but that aside, he executed between 300,000 and 400,000 human beings. Factor his wars and starvation tactics, the number swells to 3 million.

According to to whom you? Human rights groups inside of Iraq are claiming that he executed 1 million and amnesty International is calling it at 500,000. I most certainly can pin the war on Iran and Kuwait on him. Those were war's he started. Another million and a half. Starvation was self imposed. Iraq recieved 15 billion dollars a year to feed it's people with, Saddam kept this from them. Iraq recieved tons of medical aid from the United States, saddam gave it to his military to keep in storage. The number is actually over 3 million depending on your source.

You should take your hand out from behind your back and use it to open some books and read about our country. What you will discover is that we are not a Socialist country so it is not a matter of affording it. it's a matter of whether or not it is apprpriate for the gov't to subsidize healthcare under our Constitution. The answer is no.

Goes to show how much you know. It is against the law for any hospital to refuse service to anyone based on their ability to pay in the United States. No one is going without basic healthcare. People going without "basic healthcare" is a lie perpetrated by the lefties.

The Clintons made an attempt to socialize medicine in the United States. This would have effectively made the some of the wealthiest people in our country, physicians, employees of the government. The government would have been able to dictate the amount of money that a doctor or a hospital could charge for services. This is a "slippery slope" that the American people were not willing to go down. Let's face it. I don't want the government to start deciding WHO should and should not receive healthcare based on the cost effectiveness of their situation. That is exactly what we would have eventually been looking at. The whole premise was anti-American. It isn't how we do things in this country. It makes me laugh when people criticize the US healthcare system yet when something high tech and dramatic needs to be done, they all come running to the United States.
