I think the subtext wasn't specifically towards trump, but towards incompetent, populist, far right leaders in general. But nice of you to recognise Trump as one of those.
Hah, I was also thinking about North Korea, Putin, and others. Some of Trumps best friends and idols.

BTW sadly, the opium war is now America's fentanyl war.
And where does much of that Fentanyl come from? That's right. China.

Fentanyl: China’s Deadly Export to the United States

China doesn't need to take boats up the Mississippi in order to kill Americans.

I dont know much about what is taught in mainland schools about cultural revolution. There, its bound to be seen differently. We are not too crazy about communism here.

Fair enough.

Western interference in Chinese affairs had profound
effects from the first. One thing setting the stage for the next. Who / what had the greatest efrect is not very
meaningful.

Sure....and had you been speaking of ideas, I probably would have agreed.

I certainly agree that one thing sets the stage of the next, but this is less of a substantial point....as all history essentially works this way.

I've heard the same thing...but Mexican cartels have nearly endless resources.

What exactly is the reason we think China is associated with this importing of fentanyl?

Because they are.

Justice Department Announces Eight Indictments Against China Based Chemical Manufacturing Companies and Employees

Nearly all fentanyl precursors come from China. These precursors are then made into fentanyl.

But it doesn’t stop there. Companies in China also manufacture other synthetic or man-made drugs—that make the fentanyl threat even more addictive and even more deadly. These drugs include xylazine and nitazenes, which are then mixed with fentanyl to extend the high and increase the cartels’ profits.

Uh huh...I'm asking why we think it's coming from China though. You may have noticed in the article it mentioned most fentanyl came from a single lab in Mexico in 2006.

Now it comes from China? Even though Mexican cartels know how to make it?

The article explains why China is exporting it.....large number of poorly regulated labs. Yet it doesn't explain why we think it's China...not Mexico.

China is not our biggest problem. We are our own disaster.
And almost half the country thinks they want a dictator.

One who will tell us who is good and who is poison. One who will avenge our enemies. One who can work outside the broken system, by his own rules and do what needs to be done for us no matter what. One who will rid us of those who oppose us, within and abroad.

I read it...as much as I'd like to believe that "china has a lot of chemicals" is a solid reason....it's not.
Why would you "want to believe"?

A couple of considrerations.

One is the heavy reliance of usa on
foreign mfg of chemicals and drugs.
Studying chem at uni in usa, i saw
all the reagent bottles were " made in
India. USA buys prescription drugs from
China including fentanyl. So of course its msde
made there, shipped to usa.

People in the usa happily make -buy- sell
addictive drugs and deadly weapons to eachothdr.

You cannot control the people of your country.

China has about billion more people than the usa.

Its impossible to control what everyone does.

So IF its so, as a couple of you want so to believe
that the main source is China- are you accusing the
ccp of making it official policy?

Like how usa is the primary source of assault weapons for the cartels- is that policy from the white house or a failure
to control weapons and borders?

Just how is China responsible for the United States drug problem? So what if China makes the drugs, are they forcing Americans to take them? I mean, all there people blaming China for the actions of the drug users should also blame the firearms industry for all the shootings. After all, the gun industry is providing the product.

These aren't prescriptions. These are made in chem labs that supposedly work with the cartels....even though the cartels know how to make it.

I'm just wondering why the cartels wouldn't cut China out entirely?

True.

You cannot control the people of your country.

That's not supposed to be the goal of our government.

China has about billion more people than the usa.

True.

Its impossible to control what everyone does.

Well I don't know what you mean by impossible.

So IF its so, as a couple of you want so to believe
that the main source is China- are you accusing the
ccp of making it official policy?

Again, I have no idea. I simply wanted to know why the cartels would rely on China.

Like how usa is the primary source of assault weapons for the cartels- is that policy from the white house or a failure
to control weapons and borders?

Depends on who you ask.

And don't get snippy with me...I've seen what the Chinese have been doing in Africa. I've seen how China treats it's own citizens.

I've also seen their troops in combat. There's not much to be proud of.

You nor i know where the cartel gets their fentanyl or
what motivates them besides money.

We do know abiut their weapons though, much
of which is from the USA, INCLUDING by deliberate
USA policy. No " snippy " just fact.
What youve " seen" of Chinese troops in action
has zero to do with usa weapons in
cartel hands, and how they got there.

Every govt seeks to control the popultion.
Only diff is how much, how much, what purpose,
how effective.
Its obviously impossible to achievevsuch contrll.
Note crime and corruption.

You didnt say why you " want to believe" ill of
China.

It seemed like an example of the " always picking on
China" thats so popular in the USA today.
