I attribute China’s success to Deng. One can either have an honest reflection of what communism did and how best to proceed forward...or seize power and rule as a despot. Deng seems to have had that crucial moment of truth.

Americans speak of " freedom" but are beset
all about with endless laws and regs.

We in China are often enough free in ways americans are nonot.

It seems to me nz has more freedoms than both USA and China. China's government are overcontrolling treating the people like infants. USA government are dysfunctional. Much of USA problems seem imaginary and the people arm themselves and shoot each other and bicker with each other and get all political. Kids are even scared to go to school cause they might get shot. Many USA parents are scared their kid will be taught sex Ed or Trans. In China the people are terrified of their government. Scared to speak up or to criticise. Their media is controlled even google search is controlled.
