Sad and Lonely

I've been in and out of depression for awhile. I'm in a pretty bad marriage, I'm in at a dead end job, financially strapped and I don't have many friends. I feel like nobody cares even though I know God does. I made a song that kind of describes where I'm at emotionally. I'm not much of a singer but these feeling are honest.

I'm not looking for pity but please pray that I get some lasting peace

Prayers, David! What has helped me a lot in difficult times is just getting quiet time alone with God. That helps so much. Does your wife attend church with you? Is she a believer? God be with you, friend. Life can be difficult, but God does love you, and is holding you.

I hope things get better for you my friend. I've had depression ever since I was a little child, and I can definitely relate to you on that. It seems like any time in my life, when I get closer to God, and give my worries and problems up to him, my life tends to get better, and when I try running it myself, it usually back fires. I hope that you give your problems up to him, and I honestly think that you'll get your answers, and so much more back then you expected.

I hope things work out between you and your wife. Especially if there are children involved. To many broken homes out there. I myself tried couples counseling back when I was in a relationship. Both parties have to put fourth the effort 50-50, and sometimes it can really help if there is an intermediary to help sort things out. Try doing more things with each other. even if it's just once a week. The little things count. Back rubs, flowers once a month. Taking her out to dinner. Everyone wants and needs to know that they're loved in a relationship.

Do you have a college degree? If not, what do you think about going to college? Or there are trades out there, that if you get a one year certificate, or an associates degree, you can make pretty descent to goo money. Electrician, carpenter, Heating and air conditioner fixer. Money isn't everything. We need it to pay bills, but most of us are blessed with food in out bellies, a roof over our heads, clean water, fresh air, and so many other wants that we don't deserve. There are some that don't have those things in life. I don't have a lot of money either. Than again, I'm not married, so that does change things up. There's ways to make friends. If you email me, I know a specific site where it's specifically pretty much for making friends. It's for people with hobbies. It could be any hobby really. From Sewing, dog walking(if you have a dog), board and card games, I'm not sure if there are sport groups or not.

Sometimes depression has a physical cause. Low iron, low B12 and so on. Hypothyroidism is the most common illness in America and is frequently not diagnosed. It absolutely leads to depression.
The stopthethyroidmadness.com site has informal signs that show a thyroid weakness - just in case.

Whatever the cause, I pray you will get healing and direction and peace.
