False..... In Exodus 16 Moses said that not God.And of course the much-anticpated made-up fiction that will be brought in response to -- "God said "Tomorrow is THE Sabbath" Exodus 20 not "pick any day you like"."
Who is attacking the law? Who is telling fiction?Apparently - attacks against the Law of God must resort to some sort of fiction to make their case appear to stand. To each his own.

Who is attacking the law? Who is telling fiction?
There is nothing moral about the sabbath. (resting 1/7 days)
And of course the much-anticpated made-up fiction that will be brought in response to -- "God said "Tomorrow is THE Sabbath" Exodus 20 not "pick any day you like"."BobRyan said:1. someone said "there is nothing moral about eating an apple from this tree or that tree".
We all saw how well that argument played out. Too late to revisit that idea as if the result were not already "in".
2. Christ said "The Sabbath was made for mankind" Mark 2:27 -- of course not everyone believes Him on that point
3. God said "the Seventh day is The Sabbath of the Lord Thy God" not "A day in seven is Your sabbath". God said "Tomorrow is THE Sabbath" Exodus 20 not "pick any day you like".
And of course - we all knew that.
Then Moses must be a liar.
Are you saying that the Book of the Law and the prophets are works of fiction?
Who's telling the truth? You have Moses, the prophets and Jesus saying opposing things about the Sabbath. Who do your believe if anyone?

Why would you want to make up something like that??
Why stray so far from the point of the post??

Are paying attention to the conversation or just goading people trying to make them angry? Is it indeed necessary to state everything in every post or are we having a conversation? If you don't understand why can't you hit the little blue button or scroll down for the last 10 mist recent posts?

Exodus chapter 20 verse 10
but the seventh day is a Sabbath to tho Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates.
Galatians chapter 3 verse 24,25,23 So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith
now that faith has come we are no longer under the supervision of the law before this faith came we were held prisoner's by the law locked up until faith should be revealed.
Which one do you say actually have their carcass in a religious house of worship every or most Saturdays? And why are they always preaching on Sunday?Until you actually read my posts.
In the mean time (while we wait) - even pro-Sunday sources listed in the signature line - get the point of perfect agreement between all the Bible sources on the fact that the 4th commandment was given to mankind in Eden - and still applies to the saints today. AND they agree that when given to mankind in Eden the 4th commandment was applied to the 7th day of the week as we see in Ex 20:8-11
No your saying those documents endorse your view point when they obviously practice something else. This is not at all making people angry - in fact I am pointing out an amazing amount of agreement between the Sabbath keeping Christians such as Seventh-day Adventists and the actual points made in documents like the Baptist Confession of Faith, and the Westminster Confession of Faith.
A fact of common agreement that makes almost no one angry.

And what else does Galatians say about the law and the Christian? Surely you must be hoping everyone ignores the rest of the book.8 Remember The Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is THE Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested THE seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed THE Sabbath day, and hallowed (Sanctified) it.
Gen 2:1-3
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on THE seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on THE seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Mark 2:27 "The Sabbath was made For mankind"
Is 66:23 "From Sabbath to Sabbath shall ALL mankind come before Me to Worship"
Indeed we are reminded of that each time we read in the Law of God "Honor your Father and Mother"
And "Do not take the name of the Lord thy God in Vain"
and "Love God with all your heart and soul" Deut 6:5
and "Love your neighbor as yourself" Lev 19:18
As Gal 3 points out this law leads the lost person to faith in Christ as the lost person sees his/her need of salvation from sin and the fact that the perfect law of God condemns the unloving ways of the wicked --dooming them to the second death - lake of fire.
Gal 3 and Romans 3 point out that the entire world is shut up under sin - accountable to God - in rebellion against God's Law.
But the New Covenant then writes the Law of God on the heart and mind - Jer 31:31-33.
And as Paul points out in Romans 8:5-8 while the wicked are still at war with the law of God - the saints sweetly comply with it.
No wonder Paul can say to the saints - "what matters is Keeping the Commandments of God" 1Cor 7:19
No wonder even the sunday-keeping sources listed in the signature line below - get this obvious Bible teaching.

Exodus chapter 20 verse 10
but the seventh day is a Sabbath to tho Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates.
Exodus chapter 35 verse 3 Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.
So if you want to follow the Sabbath you can't have your stove on or refrigerator, because that would cause people to work, or do you just want to keep a little of the Sabbath, which brings me to my original post.
Galatians chapter 3 verse 24,25,23 So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith now that faith has come we are no longer under the supervision of the law before this faith came we were held prisoner's by the law locked up until faith should be revealed.
Beats me.If the children of Jacob gathered enough manna for two days on the sixth day while walking by faith in the desert, why would anyone need to light a fire in their tent? Did they have refrigerators outside in their tents? We must practice what we teach, in practice you will understand Moses instruction. The sixth day manna from heaven was preserved for Sabbath without the need of a refrigerator or stove. The Sabbath's manna was the only bread that never spoiled. No need to cook during Sabbath, manna was already stored up in your tent the previous day.

What ever are you talking about? Why don't you wish to deal with the Bible? And why won't you answer the questions?
How do you come up with such wild off-point rabbit trails? Where is the quote from me saying that the Bible is fiction or the part that Moses wrote is fiction?
Why keep doing that??
in Christ,
Bob
I guess you believe every one will accept something if told often enough.life in the desert was somewhat different that the life in Canaan where even Peter was "warming himself by the fire - for it was cold" during the trial of Christ.
I guess we all knew that - but there is an "any ol excuse will do" reaction to the Law of God that goes to all sorts of odd places to oppose it.
Maybe some of us knew that already as well.
At least we who accept the law of God can take comfort in the fact that even the pro-Sunday sources like those listed below in my signature line do not resort to such extremes in warring against God's 4th commandment.
in Christ,

This uncalled for idea of not even lighting your stove is not scriptural is it?Exodus chapter 20 verse 10

Did not Jesus demonstrate that?I have a hard time logically thinking that man must be a slave to the Sabbath when he should be master of it. Usually when something is "made" for you then it is a tool that you are master of but those who promote the Sabbath aren't considering that they are slaves to it when the Sabbath comes it controls their actions entirely they must adhere to its mastery.
Man wasn't made for the Sabbath, therefore the Sabbath isn't his master.
