I sometimes wish we would get someone with better more convincing arguments on the Sabbath keeping side..... I've grown bored with the regurgitated cut and paste armchair theologians here. I would say more but I think it would probably creep into flaming territory.Ouch!! My sentiments exactly.
You HAVE condemned folks... you just are so into yourself you don't see it.. here is an exampleI will say this to You and Scratch both, I am dropping it with you both as I find no rhyme and reason in your replies. I have condemned no one, that is your feeling because you feel condemned. This my last post.
I take this as a form of covert condemnation. It is a sneaky way of insinuating that you think they aren't saved and that they need to "die of self and invite HIm in".... you don't see this is an ATTACK on me as a professed Christians you should automatically think I HAVE already done so.The promise is to you too Sophrosyne. It is as valid for me as to you or anyone. The only requirement is one must die of self and invite Him in to be the sole, one and only soul master in our soul temples.
Then and only then does He come in and take up abode in us. We are wholly thine LORD or we will be none of thine.
If you read this the way I do.... you are thumping your chest saying you "got it right" and I need to do what you think. This to me means you think I am wrong. Thinking someone is wrong and telling them is judging them. To harp on it is condemnation. The wonderful promise from Jesus Himself,
Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Joh 14:18 ¶ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Mt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Wonderful, wonderful promise, He will guide into ALL TRUTH plus shew us things to come, Wow!
At leastI will say this to You and Scratch both, I am dropping it with you both as I find no rhyme and reason in your replies. I have condemned no one, that is your feeling because you feel condemned. This my last post.
You haven't actually engaged in conversation, and there are a lot of posts pointing out Scripture's testimony that you haven't attempted to reconcile your views with. I submit the only reason you can't make "rhyme or reason" out of our posts is because of this inability to reconcile your views with Holy Writ.I will say this to You and Scratch both, I am dropping it with you both as I find no rhyme and reason in your replies. I have condemned no one, that is your feeling because you feel condemned. This my last post.
We can mentally insert the semicolon you omitted between "ones" and "it" in your sentence above. You imply a contrast between yourself and those who haven't received God's Spirit of adoption, and we all know how this invokes Romans 8:9 where it states "Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His".I won't use the word "wackos" but dear ones it is the folks who do not have His Spirit of Truth with and in them that read and understand His Word in error.
Nothing has come across yet that would be valid that the change to Sunday was ever made of God, Jesus or any Prophet.
Don't come out shortchanged by the clever theology of men.
When did God ever say that Sabbath was the only day to worship Him? What a clever theology of man to limit worship days unto God.
Does the 4th commandment spell out Sabbath as a day of worship or a day of rest?
Ex 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Ex 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Ex 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Ex 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
That is the nauseating regurgitation of many Sabbath keepers first they create this straw man that the Sabbath is about worship then they conclude those who worship on Sundays are "keeping" a Sabbath because their idea of Sabbath keeping INCLUDES worshiping on the Sabbath then they say it is SINFUL to NOT Keep (Worship) Saturdays and equates those who choose to worship on any other day as sinners. They don't see this logical sequence themselves as what they are thinking/doing at all they are taught this idea and buy into it without using their brain that worship on ALL days is what God desires instead they cheat him out of worship on all but the Sabbath by exalting it such that they see worship on Sunday is a damnable offense perhaps even worthy of hell itself. When did God ever say that Sabbath was the only day to worship Him? What a clever theology of man to limit worship days unto God.

Paul was taught and sent by Jesus Christ to teach doctrines to Gentiles. His letter to the Romans teach as follows:
Rom 14:5
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Rom 14:6
He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it..........
I'm sorry but I don't see worship COMMANDED on the Sabbath at all here.
I see nothing in the Gospels, the New Testament, The Apostles, the followers of the Apostles, or Paul that gives the Sabbath any credible place in the life of a Christian.... the silence about the Sabbath from them ALL is so deafening that if a chigger burped in the Grand Canyon that silent you could hear it 7 times before it stopped. In other words... what Sabbath?I am surprised that you cannot see it. Now is the time, not at the Throne before Him.
All Sabbath days, ones reckoned by the moon and then from one Sabbath to another, He says to come and worship before Him.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
I certainly leave you to choose and so does our LORD.

Big deal, this is still silence as far as Christianity is concerned it doesn't advocate any sort of Sabbath for anyone but Jesus himself. Do you go to the synagog on the Sabbath? If you don't go there then this example is MEANINGLESS because almost NO Christian I know of has even heard that they must go to a synagog on the Sabbath.Lu 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Ac 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Ac 13:14 ¶ But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
Ac 13:15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
Gotta ask you just like I do BobRyan - What does Isa 66:23 say about the Sabbath? I just don't see it. It plainly says from ... to. It doesn't say anything about on. What I'm asking is to be shown how from...to means on.I am surprised that you cannot see it. Now is the time, not at the Throne before Him.

Gnats maybe but chiggers?I see nothing in the Gospels, the New Testament, The Apostles, the followers of the Apostles, or Paul that gives the Sabbath any credible place in the life of a Christian.... the silence about the Sabbath from them ALL is so deafening that if a chigger burped in the Grand Canyon that silent you could hear it 7 times before it stopped. This is nothing but going out on a tangent the chiggar is sneezing in the Grand Canyon with no sign of the Sabbath in his midst.
Oh and BTW..... your still here and still arguing with me aren't you?
Yup... not very believable when he says things and doesn't follow through with them didn't he say he wasn't going to talk to us any more?Yeah one can't take anything he says very seriously.
Nothing but an appeal to emotion when all other arguments and tactis have failed.... move on folks nothing here to read.It was Yah speaking to you all in those scriptures I posted and it was plain to me, but I'm just a plain ole hillbilly born and raised in a holler down a half mile lane down through a woods.
Maybe that is why I understand simple straight out words from Yah.
Remember there are 10 commandments on those stones. It was Yah speaking to you all in those scriptures I posted and it was plain to me, but I'm just a plain ole hillbilly born and raised in a holler down a half mile lane down through a woods.
Maybe that is why I understand simple straight out words from Yah.
