The Catholic Church persecuted Bible believing christians. They fled into the wilderness. There was no Catholic Church in first century.
Is this Bob?

How many times do I have to inform this forum that the Church of the Bible was called the Catholic Church by the end of the first century?

These quotes and the Bible point to the fact that the papacy is the office of antichrist and the RCC is the beast of Revelation.
There is nothing in the Book of Revelation that mentions the Catholic Church being the beast or the Pope being the AntiChrist. It does however, mention the [Catholic] Church quite a bit.

Why them ? Why just the SDA(if there was one or more) (Is it just because it's their thread or section or something?)

The point is,
why not tell the others who think that they also have kept ALL of God's commandments ??

Because I was replying to a post by an SDA member. Although many are under the impression that their obedience to the Law can save a person, few are so open to state as the SDA do. In all cases, they are in very serious error.

Do you mean the Church of God composed of all God's people throughout time or your particular denomination?

I say oddly to the folks in the SDA who think they are keeping ALL of God's commandments.

Changed midstream from keeping the commandments to being saved by obedience to the Law.
No one yet , not you, not all the others claiming that someone said they could be saved by keeping the law,
has
quoted anyone who said they could be saved by keeping the law.

As far as keeping the commandments - most all of the Christians on this forum , well, a lot of them, it seems, (I've read many posts, and no, not quoting them here - it gets too close to breaking the tOS),
all say they keep the commandments.

Isn't that strange ?

Some say they keep 10 commandments like MOSES and the ISRAELITES and the APOSTLES and the DISCIPLES did.

Some say they keep 2 commandments (but don't prove that either) .....

Some say they keep 9 commandments.....

Some say they are saved by keeping 2 commandments (I think - I wasn't watching or counting the posts, just in passing)....

So men have mixed it all up, eh!?

There is only one Church established by Christ. It came to be called the Catholic Church by the end of the first century. It is still called the Catholic church. It began at Pentecost. All baptized Christians are part of this church; some are in complete communion because they are not in schism, and some are in incomplete communion because they are in schism (such as Protestants), but all baptized Christians are in communion with this one and only Catholic Church which Christ established.

Okey-dokey. Keep your head buried in your denomination and ignore the rest of Christianity, while maintaining the absurd fiction that non-Catholics are really Catholics (although they will never be saved unless they submit themselves to the Pope and his authority). BTW, you are a member of the Interntional Communist Party, although not in complete communion.

Yes, all that apply to me, just not all the time. I also do what is required of me when I fall (repent).

That is not Catholic teaching. That is only Catholic teaching for Catholics.

Can sins be forgiven except through confession to a Catholic priest?

Is it not a mortal sin to wilfully and knowlingly absent one from attending Catholic mass at least once a week?

Breaking bread is not a Havdalah service.
Breaking bread may not be. But breaking bread after Sabbath sundown (Saturday evening) in a Jewish setting is Havdalah service. Go to an orthodox Jewish home. They are still doing the same thing.

Nah. The ONLY time "The Lord's Day" (exactly that) is used in the Bible is in Revelation 1:10 and it doesn't say which day it refers to. You have to read the Apostolic Fathers to find out which day of the week is the Lord's Day.
Where in the scriptures say the Lord's Day is sunday?

The Apostles were Jews and kept Sabbath holy. The changed to Sunday was not instituted until the 4th century by pope Sylvester.

That's not for you to judge. At least the SDAs don't remove one commandment, change another, and split another one in two.

Actually, the SDA does not come remotely close to keeping the Sabbath holy as clearly and explicitely set out in the Pentateuch. They do not completely rest on the Sabbath and they routinely kindle fires in their kitchens, their furnace, and automobiles.

The SDA is proud of keeping the Ten Commandments and some of the dietary commandments, but as for the others, the SDA has written them off completely.

It's in the book of Daniel and Revelation. And the early church fathers all predicted the same.
