up at 7am, make coffee and get cheerios and milk for boys.
get 3 boys dressed, have my first cup of java, and Nick to the bus by 8:30am.
make waffles for Stephen, jake and I, have my 2nd cup of java, and bathe Jake for his Dr. appt. have my 3rd cup of java.
Leave at 9:45am for Dr. appt, get back at 11:30am...just in time to make lunch.
12:15pm...take Stephen to preschool. Jake and I to the store on the way home. get home at 1:30...snack for Jake. do dishes...
2:30pm...go pick Stephen up from preschool...get home in time to get jake and stephen settled, then get Nick off the bus at 3:20pm. get nick a snack.
a few minutes of down time...defrosting chicken for dinner...
the rest of my day: make dinner, have dinner at 6:30pm (when DH arrives home), clean up, bathe Stephen and Nick, get some more cheerios LOL! get them ready for bed, and in bed by 7:30pm! make Nick's lunch for school tomorrow. finally! i can relax for an hour or two b4 i collapse into bed!!

Honestly I prefer to stay home - otherwise my day gets too hectic and nothing gets done...
DH and I agreed (NOT saying this is for everyone, k?!) that his work is at work, my work is at home... I do have the car one day a week and I try to organise all my running around for that day.

I prefer to stay home, but I feel strongly about making sure my kids have plenty of opportunities to play with other kids and develop social skills "normally" since we won't be sending them to school so we do several playdates a week, plus Wednesday night children's program. (Sundays too but thats a given) David is a social little kid especially now that he's 3 years old and he really loves that. Every time we are going somewhere he asks me which of his friends will be there.... sooo cute he calls them friends now.... yesterday we went to the fire station and he got to climb in the fire trucks!!

One time after our get together with our Mommies group we asked the kids what their favorite part of it was and the other kids said things like "the snacks", "playing with such-and-such a toy", etc.. and Katlyn was last and said "being with my friends." It was the CUTEST thing EVER! ^_^

Cecil is very clingy. we have a hard time gettin him to play with others. He would rather cling to one of us and watch. I'm chalkin it up to all the time he spent in the hospital and his surgeries. I'm not tryin to push him to play with others. As long as he will be around them right now.

I think the best thing for socializing is security, confidence and a solid foundation. I wouldn't worry so much that he's not very interactive with others but put my focus more on helping him to feel loved and secure since he seems he's lacking that department (and tha is much more important right now than being able to socialize) and with it he'll be more apt to get out there and interact in a healthy way!

well...we talked about how words can be powerful and can either hurt or heal. the words we speak to or even around our children have power. Encouraging words have great power. they are "apples of gold." they are treasures to cherish, can be healing, they cheer us up, they calm us down, the can strengthen and empower us!!

We also talked about how our words can help our children/spouses discover and live up to their full potential. to nurture their inner strengths, wether this be majorly or just minorly. To acknowledge their weaknesses, not to ignore their weaknesses. To help them overcome those weaknesses, even if it's just to deal with it. to help them overcome intimidation or tmidity. And we talked about how just a smile can bring such joy and peace into the situation.

There were many scripture verses that went along with this discussion...i.e., Proverbs 18:21--"The tongue has the power of life and death and those who love it will eat its fruit"; Galatians 5:22-23--"The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." and when our children exhibit these that we should praise them! Not just for what they "do" that is good, but for how they act/behave towards others as well as themselves.

This one really hit home for me! Proverbs 15:1--"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." I really needed to hear that one!

That is just a taste...hope you liked it!
