((That's what I'd say... I always stir up trouble when people don't post. As a GM, you can do anything to their characters, to teach them a lesson to continue posting. Once I had some people who wouldn't post...they didnt take the game seriously...until I broke of their character's arms. From then on they all were on time Cruel, but it may be necessary. ))

Rahke slunk down deeper into the shadows, becoming one himself, and he waited there near the castle ramparts to watch for Jared.

Jared grabbed his quiver that he had left in the stable earlier and headed back to his room. as he walked down the darkening streets he heard some people talking about a group of bandits who had attacked one of the nobles. it was everything Jared could do to not crack a smile. just as he had hoped, the murders were blamed on bandits. he might even join in the hunt the gaurd would put together.

When Jared reached his room he put his quiver carefully away in one of his bags. he had never unpacked since he first moved in over a year ago, he never knew when he would have to run, or be sent across the country, and he didn't want to waste time packing.

Jared picked out a few choice weapons and poisons then he hid them on his person. Jared looked out his window, it was dark enough to go.

A while later Jared stood infront of Lord Edward's and gave a sharp knock.

(((Oh, um.. me. I ... I was dead. I got better though. It happens sometimes; I just have these sudden relapses of death, but in a couple of days I'm usually fine.)))

As Joleen smiled at Joseph, hoping for a name, she noticed an old friend of hers walk through the door. Was there a guild meeting no one told her about? or was her pub just that popular tonight?
No matter, Dodo, no, Dido, Dago, Dojo? Oh, she could never remember his name. Why did people's names have to be so retched difficult? It began with a "D," she knew that. Well, he'd understand, and if not, she could make him understand.
Obviously, he remembered her too (but honestly, who could forget her?) as he came over and sat without waiting for an invitation.
"Mm.." she hummed as he pulled over an empty seat, "You're a bold one, aren't you?" She added a half wink for effect, but hoped he would catch the message. "I like that in a man. We were just doing introductions; I'm Joleene, and you two are?"
A broad smile spread over her face; her mug would not be empty tonight.

"Daga Simolen," he said, leaning forward to offer his hand. Whether she would take it or not based on her personality he did not know. He thought briefly of using his "code" name Agad - his real name reversed - but he did not know if she would remember, much less remember his face. It was not a very good cover anyway, seeing how the world was not as it used to be. Assassinations? When he was a boy, there was no such thing.

Galena tugged her cloak tighter around her as she hurried thru the dark streets. The darkness had fallen faster then she wished and the birth of the of the little one had taken longer than expected. She was glad that the baby had been born healthy and the mother was now resting in her warm bed. As she turned the dark street corner, Galena seen a light streaming out of the tavern, she hurried toward it's welcoming brightness.

Joleene chuckled softly. "Isn't it supposed to be the other way round, slick?" She extended a hand to Daga, palm down. "As for my friend here," nodding to Joseph, "He hasn't spoken since he kindly ordered me a drink. Speaking of..."
She raised her other hand, waving at the serving girl, "Hey, where's my drink?"

Sable waited a few moments for the mand to order some thing else. When he didnt she looked around the room to see if any one else needed any thing. She noticed Galena come in, just as some on called for a drink. She looked around and saw that Joleen was the one calling for one.

Sable grabed a pitcher of ale and cidemix and a glass, before heading over to the table.
"Sorry miss. I sent a girl out her a few minutes ago... I suppose if you want some thing done you'd better do iti your self. Here ya are"
She said as she set the cup down and filled it.
"Any thing else?" Sable asked.

Lord was sitting at his desk, writing in his elegant script, a letter written to his subordinate, Jared.

"Jared,

I am leaving out of town to make sure that other preparations I have go as according to plan. Your job is crucial. Your job is to take care of Prince Eli tonight, by any means necessary. If you see any guards, kill them. We will no longer need them once I have ascended the throne. If you will do this for me, I will double your pay.

"Mary, I am leaving out of town today. If a boy by the name of Jared comes by today, make sure he gets this letter. Good day, Mary...." Lord Edward said. He pulled the hood up on his cloak over his head, and grinned. His dream was within reach. He would be king, and no one would know he had used assasins to take care of the business. and if he did, that was what subordinates were for. They would take the whole blame, and he would remain spotless.

He laughed at the heavens as he exited his Count's castle, and began walking down the path to the nearby town.

Galena sat down at a corner table, she slowly removed her cloak; making sure that her hair hid her scar. She placed her satchel close beside of her. She was glad to have a place to stop and rest before making her last stop of the night. Galena had a packet of herbs for the castle and tonight was her first time to go there. Her mentor usually delivered the packet, but she had gotten sick and gave the duty to her young charge. Galena looked around and seen others in small groups or by themselves sitting around the tavern. It seemed the darkness had chased several people into the same place. She sighed, it was going to be a long night for her.

(Oh man, I am SO sorry for not being here. My computer's internet connection is down. I won't be able to make too many posts for a while)
Eli was wandering the halls of the castle, once again in royal attire. A smirk was on his face. No one had even noticed he was gone.

After a few minutes the door opened and a woman stood at the door. "yes?"

Jared nodded briefly to the lady. "I'm here to see Lord Edward."

"And your name is?" she asked.

"Jared," He replied simply.

the woman nodded and handed him a note. "he's not able to see you, but he asked me to give you this. good day Sir." With those words she closed the door.

Jared started to walk away and opened the note and quickly scaned it. Jared couldn't help but stop the smile that spread across his face. this was the job he was waiting for, he would have proably been willing to do that for free, but the extra cash wouldn't hurt.

the walk back to his room was a blur, his mind turnning with the possiblities. He would quit after this job, he would have compleated his one goal in life, and with the money he had earned he could move on, maybe even settle down.

Jared smirked at the idea of him with a wife and kids. Still, anything would be possible.

When he reached his room Jared rummaged through his things, and picked out a few choice weapons, a rope, and some bottles. Jared then put on his cloak and grabbed all his bags, leaving a bag of money on the bed to pay for his rent.

Jared went down to the stables whisling an up beat tune. Jared spent the next half an hour packing up Ares so he was ready to go as soon as he got his payment. Jared was ready to leave the town, he was sick of seeing the same thing, the same people he lied to day after day, he wanted to go someplace where no one knew him.

it was an other hour before Jared was at the castle and climbing the wall. Jared easily made it past the gaurds and found a dark perch near the princes' window, now he just had to wait till the prince was asleep.

Daga didn't understand what Joleene meant, but he had seen nobles great the Ladies with a kiss. He decided to risk his chances. Taking her hand, he kissed the back of it, her warm skin leaving a tingle to reberberate through his body.

To Sable, he said, "A drink for myself," Thinking, he added, "Ale."
