Arguably the best thing about Fridays is that one eventually gets to leave work for the day. At least, that is what Anne thought as she sat at her desk and looked at everything spread out before her. She was not particularly motivated to begin. She groaned miserably in a fit of self-pity.
"It's so very unfair," she exclaimed dramatically to herself.
"Talking to yourself again, are you? You know what they say about that."
Somewhere in the process she had actually dramatically placed a hand to her forehead. Anne took it down sheepishly and looked at her co-worker. She was always caught in her sillier moments.
