I only drink black coffee, water (carbonated or plain), and unsweetened tea. I don't mean to be a buzzkill but soda has so much unfibered sugar in it which can lead to ldl cholesterol (causes heart disease) and fat. I'll sometimes drink sweetened coffee but I do so as a desert.
On that note, you should add some milk to your diet...

I have been drinking a lot of root beer in the last year because it does not have caffeine in it and I have sleeping issues.

I drink mostly Sam's (Wal-Mart) brand but if you want a high quality root beer drink IBC root beer. As a kid I drank it often.

I also grew up in a generation that we had actual A&W drives in like sonic is now but back then they hung a try on your window when they brought us our food and the server wore roller skates. A good A&W root beer in a frosty mug was always a cool treat. A&W is not as frequent any more as they once were. This area use to have two or three but are down to just one which is a A&W/Long John Silvers/KFC.

Root Beer was my favorite pop growing up.

Although these days sugar water kind of makes me nauseous.

I liked Barg's the best. Mug was awful and A&W was so-so. The A&W cream soda was a little better.

uh no, but I like ginger beer.
I don't know what root beer is, I don't think we have it here. What roots is it made of? Is this just a random question? Does it matter if we like it or not? Will we get a thesis of how significant root beer is to our well being?

:)

You'll probably find one from an Asian grocery store. Root beer is not Asian but they love it enough, they had local brands of root beer.

Root beer is simply just a different flavored soda pop, it is non alcoholic, just like ginger ale.

I love root beer enough if someone gave me one, I'll drink it!

I pretty much agree with this assessment of the three perhaps most well-known root beer brands.

IBC, of course, is all too preferable among them. :D We actually construct IBC root beer at the place where I work as well as A&W (the diet version of both root beer and cream soda is beyond awful, although strangely the syrup base has a more pleasant smell than that of the sugar versions), but unfortunately not at all often.

Wait.. pop has a smell to it?

I lack a sense of smell.. so I had no idea. Lol. Dang, am I missing out on much? Lol.

Although I'll have to say the A&W and KFC/A&W (the one that comes in a tap) is incredibly good. Really smooth and the pop is extremely fresh.

Yeah, it actually does. At least the scent of the syrup base is strong enough, I would guess because it is more concentrated than the final product - the beverage that you actually consume - itself.

Can you smell pop if you don't open up the can?

Man, sometimes I wish I could experience the sense of smell, although at the same time it sounds like intrusive and scary, lol.

Oh, trust me, even with the can unopened, if it is Dr. Pepper, than I can smell it from within upwards of a 100-yard radius. ^_^

Dang.

Oh well, at least I'll never know the sensation of an awful smell. Lol.

True. It is best that you never know the scent in the filler room when they are making Nehi Peach or Diet 7-up, because I actually detect the scent of vomit whenever I walk through there at those times. No lie.

Eww..

Do you smell in your sleep? Do you pretty much smell things 24/7? Can you navigate around the world from smell alone? Lol.

Nah, it's air-tight. That's why it can fizz a lot when you open the can.

Pretty much. If I walk into a room and a window is open, I'll usually notice because of the smell of fresh air.

I would have to look up the answer to the sleep question, but I would guess that we can smell burning things?
