yes, it is assumed throughout the world that Americans like ketchup on everything and in offering it, even on corn flakes, they are attempting their best to be gracious hosts, even when they are very poor they offer what they believe is the best they have. God's grace takes precedence here and we must be the most gracious we can be and lift it all entirely up to God, amen?
I am trying to "ketch-up" wit dat :)

Paul speaks in different letters to different believers, sometimes to Jewish believers, sometimes to Gentile believers. His message chances depending on his audience. If it were an absolute rule that “there is no defiling food,” the following statement (and many others) would not apply:

For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to impose on you no further burden than these essentials: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled . . .
--Acts 15:28-29a, NRSV

All typical foods considered defiling according to Jewish law. And it is decreed by the Jerusalem Counsel, the holy authority of the church, upon gentiles.

Here is an interesting discussion on that:

Jerusalem Council ruling?
The saved Pharisees wanted the saved Gentiles to convert to Judaism before being accepted. The proof of conversion was in getting circumsized.
This was an issue that was brought to the Council in Jerusalem.
This is the decision that was made.

Ac 15:9 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they 1 abstain from pollutions of idols, and 2 from fornication, and from 3things strangled, and from 4 blood.
21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

As you can see, I brought some things to your attention.
They were addresing gentiles, there were four things. And the Torah being read in the synagogue every Sabbath.

What do you make of this? What are your opinions? What do the four rules mean?

Amen. It is the same when foreigners such as Chinese come to visit us and we try to impress them by taking them to a Chinese restaurant. They very graciously eat the food, although it is quite unlike what they eat at home.

holy, righteous, spiritual, bondage.

something is amiss.

p.s. the problem is not the law, it is the Jewish people's inability to keep it.
That is why they need Jesus

Any othe members want to give their view and/or vote on this? Thanks

Did Paul declare all foods clean?

Blue Letter Bible - Lexicon
Strong's Number G1033 matches the Greek βρῶμα (brōma), which occurs 17 times in 15 verses in the Greek concordance of the KJV

Romans 14:
14 I have known and am persuaded in Lord Jesus that nothing unclean thru himself, except to the one accounting any being-unclean/koinon <2839> to be, to that one being-unclean/koinon <2839>.
[Genesis 9:33]
15 and if through victuals/brwma <1033> thy brother is grieved, no more dost thou walk according to love; do not with thy victuals destroy that one for whom Christ died.
16 Let not, then, your good be evil spoken of,
17 for the reign of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit;

1033. broma bro'-mah from the base of 977; food (literally or figuratively), especially (ceremonially) articles allowed or forbidden by the Jewish law:--meat, victuals.

Good day to all.

No. The context is over eating herbs only, or eating herbs and meat. The issue is not eating clean and unclean meats.

In verse 14 you show koinos G2839, but give no definition of it.

Koinos
1) common
2) common i.e. ordinary, belonging to generality
a) by the Jews, unhallowed, profane, Levitically unclean

The definition shows that it is something clean, that has become defiled. That is why the verse makes more sense when seeing it this way.

I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

So does that mean pork products are ok to eat for those under the NC?
[I noticed you didn't vote in the poll]

It is not what one eats, but how one eats.
How is one suppose to eat?

Phl 3:18
18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—
who set their mind on earthly things.
