Roll Call

I'm assuming this list is to be of who's allowed to debate in here, and vote on mods and such.

If so, I'd like to be added to the list.

I must disclose that I am already a member of the liberal forum, so if that excludes me, I understand--Otherwise, I am a United Methodist and would like to be included.

Frankly, I don't quite 'get' all of this joining individual subforums, though. I thought that just by joining this site, and by declaring myself a Methodist, I was automatically 'in'. Oh well.

i wish it were that way..but the 7-7-7 changes made it so that each congregation has separate rules and votes for mods separate..so thats that..

as far as im concerned anyone who posts in this forum is a member if the want to be..but its not just up to me..i guess the wiki will decide for sure..but for now i am adding anyone to the roll call list that asks...

I'm Methodist. Sometimes when my husband and I are debating a point, he'll inform me that I am sounding more like a Presbyterian than a Methodist, but that's ok. (I married into the faith, my husband is a pastor)

BUT.....I'm sure that I am methodist enough.

I don't know why people can't belong to more than 1 forum, especially in a case like this. I hang out a lot on the charismatic NWOF forum and participated in their polls. *shrug*

Well, Presbyterians are one thing, but the last time we mixed Anglicans and Methodists together, some folk went off and started their own church.

Actually-- the church I grew up in was a combined Meth/Presb. At confirmation you got to pick which portion of the congregation you belonged to. Down the street from us now is another Meth/Presb, but where my home church used Methodist ministers (due to Methodists being the larger portion of the congregation) this church alternates. When we first moved here they had a Methodist minister, now a Presbyterian.

From what I've read in other forums, the reason for a roll call or requiring members have a certain icon was related to limiting the voting to actual members of the forum who participate there, and to eliminate voting by people who were there to manipulate or sabotage, rather than to exclude people from participating in multiple folders. In fact, I don't believe the roll call here prohibits or limits us from participating where we desire at all.

There is one folder I was inactively participating in, there were tons of problems it appeared because people would ask others to vote for them even though those people didn't participate in that folder, which of course swayed whatever voting was going on and it wasn't fair to active members. Thankfully I haven't seen that much, but for that reason, I can see the reason for asking for a roll call.

Just my thoughts on this.

The other day I went to the doctor's office and couldn't decide what book to take to read. I packed Wesley's 44 Sermons, "Salvation is from the Jews" by Shoeman and "The Four Loves" by CS Lewis! I ended up reading the Bible that was already there.
