Wesley's Parish - Methodist/Nazarene Forum:
A forum for all Methodists/Nazarenes/Wesleyans to discuss and fellowship.

A few things to know about Wesley's Parish:
  • We follow the Wesleyan Quadrilaterial in forming our theology. We recognize scripture as authoritative and our primary source, however we also consider tradition, reason, and experience.
  • We believe a person has the freewill to respond to God's grace.
  • Faith is all that is required for salvation, however faith results in good works (fruit).
  • We believe that Christian Perfection/Entire Sanctification is a process based on God's prevenient, justifying, and sanctifying grace.
  • Our Sacraments include baptism and communion. All of our churches perform "believer's" baptisms, some also Baptize infants as a means of grace.

Guidelines for topics of homosexuality and same sex marriage:
The Wesley's Parish forum has open discussion on homosexuality and same sex marriage with fewer restrictions regarding promotion (both sides may discuss each point of view). The following guidelines will apply to open discussion on these topics:
  • All posts must align with the sitewide rules, especially the rule about profanity and vulgarity (no discussions or images that are sexually explicit).
  • Members may not make posts which could be considered blatant campaigning for the acceptance of homosexuality or SSM.
  • Members may not distribute any blatant propaganda about homosexuality or SSM [propaganda: information of a biased or misleading nature used to promote or publicize a particular point of view].
  • Members may not encourage another member to practice homosexuality or enter into a same sex marriage.
House Rules:
All posts within this faith community must adhere to the site wide rules found here (Community Rules). In addition, if you are not a member of this faith group, you may not debate issues or teach against it's theology. You may post in fellowship. Active promotion of views contrary to the established teachings of this group will be considered off topic. Fellowship posts can also include statements that are in alignment with beliefs of the given denomination, even by non-members. They cannot include debate or non-beliefs.
