Only 5 1/2 month left!

Has anyone seen the trailer? If is great the way they used the old Obwan clips and then showed the new stuff, like it was a flash back.

I can't wait for Revenge of the Sith! I think once people see Ep. 3, they'll look at the prequels in another light, at least most people.

As much as I didn't like Episode 1 & 2, I'm holding out hope that my love for Star Wars will be rewarded with this one. I'm actually looking forward to it.

I absolutely refuse to have any hope for this new movie, because when Episode I came out I was certain it was going to be a masterpiece. With Episode II I was enthusiastic with reservations. But if it had just been that I could give into optism. But when the DVD set came out I was not worried in the least, since I did not fathom that there could be anything about a straightforward rerelease to be worried about. And even there Lucas disapointed me again. So as much as I would like to think the next one will be good, I can't believe that this will be the case.

In fact, the only thing that is giving me any hope any more is that the trailer consists of a very obvious "Nosferatu" reference, which suggests that Lucas may be returning more to his roots of blatantly stealing concepts from classic films and putting them into a sci-fi atmosphere, rather than stealing concepts from popular sci-fi and putting them... well into popular sci-fi I guess.

But really, I don't see anything the third could do to convince me that the first two movies weren't an utter waste of time.

They've all been at least entertaining even if the story telling hasn't been up to par with the original trilogy. I'm definatley looking forward to the final one. ROTJ was the first movie I ever saw!

First two episodes were extremely boring and I'll probably end up watching the third one, but I think I'll wait to hear some reviews first.

The problem with the prequels:

1) George Lucas' directing
2) George Lucas' screenwriting

He really lost his touch after 27 years.

I'm really excited about it too! I just saw the trailer last night and thought it was great! I was a little confused about some of the people though, was that supposed to be Anakin fighting Obi-wan nearer the end? He looked a lot different than how I thought he would.

Great trailer, but I am cautious because the trailers for Ep I and II were great but the movies failed to live up to that expectation.

I agree with nightwing. GL has really lost touch with what makes a good movie. He really embodies the way hollywood as a whole is at this point, they've lost touch with what movie goers really want these day. They think it's a formula which is about 50 years old. Hollywood needs an enima!

Princess Leia : I'd just as soon kiss a Wookiee.
Han Solo : I can arrange that. You could use a good kiss.

Now we're stuck with pitiful dialogue like this:

Obi-Wan: What took you so long?
Anakin: Well, you know, Master, I couldn't find a speeder that I really liked.
Obi-Wan: There he is.
Anakin: ...With an open cockpit and the right speed capabilities.
Obi-Wan: If you spent as much time practicing your saber techniques as you did your wit, you'd rival Master Yoda as a swordsman.
Anakin: I thought I already did.
Obi-Wan: Only in your mind, my very young apprentice.


GL has one more chance to redeem himself!

yeah... that's how i feel too. the first 2 episodes were horrible even though they looked great, so i have no real hope for this one.

The only reason I "liked" The Phantom Menace was because of the lightsaber duel, Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, and Natalie Portman. They were the only reasons I could tolerate the movie.

yeah, the lightsaber battles were heaps better... especially the second episode... but it was still missing something...

Rumor has it Lucas has chosen an unknown to direct Episode III. Mr."JB" has been working in politics the past few years, and has yet to direct a feature-length film.
