Doesnt it say in the Bible that when the Revelation happens, the world will be much like it was before the flood?


And how close do you think we are to that stage

I believe that the earth will be restored during the Millennial reign - probably to it's Garden of Eden condition. That'll be sweeeeet!

I cant count the number of times I have thought this exact question... and the only answer I have found is Revelations 1:3 There is no way to know for sure... Ive even had a guy on these forums say that there was no proof that the world was becoming more wicked . No one knows when so just keep an eye out =)

I personally am of the mind that the revelation in the Bible has already happened. It forshadows so perfectly what happened to the Romans and other unbelievers at the time of the fall of Rome.


My Bible class at church right now is studying it.

Also, when people start vanishing and leaving the earth is this prior to the anti christs reign, because I thought I remember reading something about a 7 year persecution period by Christians or those who didn't accept the anti christ... so are we stuck here during all this or are we gone before the worst of it sees fruition

I personally feel Revelation speaks to an event in the future because we know God and Jesus are not physically ruling the Earth -- given the loose morality, wars, illness and suffering in our world. I would think that societal conditions re: morality and spirituality are definitely going "south" so to speak.

How close are we? No-one but God knows the answer to that. However, we are told that we will recognize the season of His return, just not the hour and day. Many throughout the history of the Church have believed that the moment is nigh, so to speak.

However, with the Internet and travel around the world there is almost no corner or person that hasn't hear the Gospels. IIRC from my religious education days, this was one thing that was necessary as a signal to believers before Jesus' return.

I also see a rise in globalism, and a distinct effort on the part of humans to deny supernatural things -- this would set up the things necessary for an anti-christ to come to power over the Earth, as well as false prophets to easily deceive even believers...

I'm just now studying these things again, so I definitely invite those with more knowledge on the subject to correct me if I'm wrong on any of these things.

Personally, I hope it is sooner rather than later simply because Jesus' return signals an end to the suffering and evil in our world. What a glorious time that will be!

All we can really do is keep reading our Bibles, trusting in God, and furthering our relationship with Him in our lives.

I would hope that all believers would be swept up in a rapture before the judgements come down, but I would gladly work with the Lord to try and save souls if I were here during the Tribulation times...
