Yes. Revelation does have a lot of Paul in it, such as the Almighty, which is used only 1 time in the NT outside of Revelation.I do like this translation very much !
Please forgive me for pulling out this one verse, but the highlighted portion especially struck me; it is much like Paul's speaking of sharing in the suffering of Christ.

I found this site just recently and wish I had known about it before. This has 5 MSS to compare and what I do is copy the Texts to wordpad then note the variances and go with the ones that agree most.

I would like to start a thread where everyone participates putting up a verse from Chapter 1 of Revelation in order.
After this I would like to start a different thread for Chapt 2 if that is ok with the Admins.
I use the 3 main greek texts: T-R, W-H and B-M. If all texts agree, I will just put up the T-R and I will keep it word-for-word as much as is possible.. Hope others will enjoy this and perhaps something will become "unveiled" to us that we never noticed before.

So would you say the first 3 verses are not part of the Revelation, but more like a title page for the document? Do you think they may be later addition to the scroll? They contain the words "for the time is near". No, only vs 1. Jesus was given the scroll because he was the only one who could open it to show us what must come to pass. Vss 2 & 3 simplt tell us that John recorded it and we're blessed for reading it.posted by Timothew

The greek word for "reading" is interesting.
If you parse that word, it can mean "above-knowledge"
The same word used in Reve 1:3 is the one used in Matt 24 concerning the AoD mentioned in Daniel. I have a thread on that for those interested. Thoughts?
