I was just talking to a service person on the phone.
She had to ask for my birthdate.
Then mentioned we were close in age.
I told her what we were doing here with the retro outfit.
She thought it sounded cool.

These cloths are more my Mother's style than they were ever mine. I remember I used to tell her that I was going to wear her outfits when I grew into them. But, by then...they weren't in style anymore. I did have go go boots though. White ones...when I was in pre-school.

Oh well...didn't want anyone to think I was being anti-social for not joining in. (I only found about this thread just now.)

We tried to make sure everyone knew about it.

We were thinking of doing this every first Thursday of the month.
(easier to remember first rather than second)

Many of us have lots of outfits we like to change regulary.

Oh, I see I have a lot of outfits too...but, I've been sticking with this one for a while. Well..in a broad sense...I could be the token beatnik of the group. (I can't afford the retro outfit today.)

And I think you're right...1st thursday would make it easier to remember, if you're only doing it once a month.

hey, i think i'm pretty groovy in this outfit...... *goes and stands by Laurenda* ..... anyhoo, yeah, that outfit looks like something my Aunt Betty would've worn - and hey, I had the white gogo boots when I was a little girl too!

When I was in HS..... those Very Baggy Pleated Tapered Jeans with the double-wrap belts came into fashion. and plaid shirts with metallic thread - those are coming back now, it seems...... and hey, I'm not having to wear a uni to school now, so woohoo I can wear them....

okay, I suppose I'm wayyy off topic here, so I'll tiptoe out.....
