  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Yes, what gives a person Eternal Life salvation and the only way a person becomes a permanent born again child of God. Is by belief in Jesus, repenting has nothing to do with whether a person believes in Jesus.

As repenting has nothing to to do with other beliefs a person comes to hold.

Repenting is what people (believers) do to get back into fellowship with God their Father when they sin and in-turn get out of their relationship/fellowship with God when they sin. Read the parable of the prodigal son, it is about a son getting out of fellowship with their Father (God) by going the way of the world, but they repent and eventually come back to their Father.
Repentance and Faith both go hand and hand Acts 20:21

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb 6:1

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

And they're both the Gift of God in Salvation

Acts 20:21 is not addressed to unbelievers and what they must do to receive Eternal Life salvation. It is addressing believers and how to live in their faith. Which is to repent and faith in God.

If you want to address Eternal Life salvation for unbelievers The Gospel of John was written specifically for this reason.

You miss the point Acts 20:21 shows that both Faith and Repentance go together and they are Gifts of Gods Saving Grace, they're not in man naturally in his lost condition.
