Repentance and Faith both go hand and hand Acts 20:21-Yes, what gives a person Eternal Life salvation and the only way a person becomes a permanent born again child of God. Is by belief in Jesus, repenting has nothing to do with whether a person believes in Jesus.
As repenting has nothing to to do with other beliefs a person comes to hold.
Repenting is what people (believers) do to get back into fellowship with God their Father when they sin and in-turn get out of their relationship/fellowship with God when they sin. Read the parable of the prodigal son, it is about a son getting out of fellowship with their Father (God) by going the way of the world, but they repent and eventually come back to their Father.
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Heb 6:1
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
And they're both the Gift of God in Salvation
