aside from the fact that I get tired of the upkeep - one of the problems I had when I colored my hair is that I have very dark (just this side of black) hair - no red tones naturally. ~95% of brown hair dyes have red in them (even the "cool" tones) - and it just never looks right on me. I've thought about going a dark ash blonde - but that would be such a drastic change - there'd be absolutely no question that I colored my hair if I did that.

Now my daughter (22) has been coloring her hair for years (at least 5). I'm not sure if I'd know her "natural" hair color any longer. I think it's a medium brown - from an almost white blonde when she was a toddler. I actually prefer her as a blonde - which she still does on occasion - but she says that people don't take her as seriously when she's blonde. She's been varying colors of blond, light brown and red.

Pretty great actually. I just got back from my weigh-in (I'm on a diet/exercise program) and I lost another 7 pounds! woohoo - I'll be bikini ready by summer - lol.

without exercise a diet doesn't succeed very well (if at all). I eat 6 small meals a day - trying to balance carbs w/ protein & that helped me maintain alot easier.

Thank you. Its been alot of work. I'm doing it the right way - no fad diets. Just reducing the calories and working out. I'm on the threshold of 40 so I figured it was about time.

I'll never be bikini ready again, but I acknowledge the fact that I definitely need to lose weight. Problem is, I hate to exercise.

Walking around my neighborhood is ~2 miles. I need to start doing that 4-5 days a week. I know that would make a major difference.

Losing weight would take a lot of strain off my back too - and that can only be good for me.

Need to just open the door and get started.

I've colored my hair for years and years, but I'll never consider plastic surgery . . . I'm saving myself for my bypass, hip replacements, knee replacements, etc. LOL, LOL. One of the best ways I know to always look younger than your husband is marry an older man. LOL. My husband is 11 yrs older than me, so he calls me his child bride. We'll not discuss how old I am, but suffice it to say, I'll never see 50 again. LOL, LOL -- can't find my rofl emoticon.

& that's the hardest part - getting started. Once you do, it becomes a routine.
Once I got sick for 3 weeks, I haven't gotten back to jogging like I was doing regularly

It's a nitemare trying to get started back into it again.
(I find every excuse) lol

I too am one who hates exercise. I literally had to force myself to do it - especially on days when I really didn't feel like it. It helps to get a friend to do it with you. I heard some good advice, that once you do it, it takes about 30 days til it becomes easier and more routine, then you'll start having more energy and feeling better that you'll actually want to do it.

Already there LOL and more than 11 year gap. lol But that has some downsides to it. But you're right about that

As far as plastic surgery, they have so many new non invasive techniques & good skin serums w/ nano technology, you hardly need that till much later on imho.
