Well, yeah. I've got 62 trillion rep. Does that mean I'm a million times better than someone with 62 million rep? It's getting silly.

just sharing for folks who think reps have gotten out of hand or silly - in a sense you can take your reps away now

you can turn your reps off so that no one can see your reputation count - and not receive reputation (although I believe you can still give them)

first box under "edit options"
