O man veggie, I remember when cassette tapes came out and I didn't need my reel to reel anymore! and I remember gas costing as low as .47 cents per gallon...for regular leaded gas!

does anyone remember the old copiers in schools, where you would have an ink filled paper with everything written backwards and you would load a bunch of paper and turn the crank to make the copies! What a mess!!

Here's some silly things that I remember.....

ashtrays conected to the theatre seats so you could smoke during the movie! Watching Charlie Brown specials and all of the comercials were for Dolly Madison treats. Cel phones as big as your head! vhf & uhf! hotpants. every High School had a smokers tree. Cruising Woodward (well that one is a Michigan thing), Tab (do they even make that anymore?) Paying almost $1,000.00 for a two head vcr...and thinking I got a great deal!! Looking for my first new car, that was fully loaded, which meant it had am/fm radio and heat. No air, No power anything! And it cost me 5,000.00 right out of the factory! I remember carbon paper. I remember party lines. I remember not locking my doors and leaving my keys in the car...(oops, I still do that, I live in the country)....O boy there's more but those were the good ole' days....wouldn't go back for anything!!

Yes, I remember hot pants (had some when I was 13), being able to leave doors unlocked and windows open when you went out, and carbon paper, which didn't work too well. :)

Remember when you had to use fountain pens and the ink came in tiny little bottles that ALWAYS managed to spill, and you had wads of blotting paper to take care of the nasty splodges all over your schoolwork. :help:

I remember selling fountain pens when I worked at an art store when I was in my twenties. And, I remember learning the "Pen and ink" (art) technique in High School. But I don't remember being required to use a fountain pen for regular school work, guess that was before my time. When was that exactly? You're not that much older than I am. ;)
