CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I judge not nor condemn any denomination or man. Though they may be a den of vipers, it is necessary for every garden to have a serpent in relation to the process taking place within.

widows and orphans are the babes that start to keep themselves unspotted from the world though the Holy Spirit likes the literal meaning of that verse too.

The physical vs the Spiritual translation... Physical is what is read is and self defined. Spiritual delves deeper. A consideration... Orphans & Widows of the Spirit . The afflictions are legion. Organized religion is one such cause. An orphan of the Spirit has no physical age or gender specifics as a requirement as those of the Spirit are all children in God.
Remember the parable where Jesus sits a child on his knee and says woe to those that lead this little one astray? Apply it in Spiritual child , where-in that is us on his knee and we are 50 years old (All are children in God). This concept is not physical as Jesus uses a "physical child" to explain Spiritual affliction in led astray.
Being led is the "World". Some translation terms of the world... Organized religion, mom, dad, preacher, friends, puppies, kittens, etc... These people and things we can love more than God that created them. Thus led, in a love we have always put firstly before God . We all are led as children (physical) yet a lot of people ignore the verses ( me too for 45 years) that say put up childish things. Another physical vs Spiritual translation. Things being physical, a season to revamp the mind to the very id and start over with God as first love. What is sincere ignorance? It took a lifetime to grasp a hold of that as it was His will. Sincere ignorance is led astray in love that is passed from generation to generation. Example: Mom and Dad teach organized religion to us for they were taught the same as they exalt the preacher on sermons etc and we do it too.
This produces sincere ignorance. It is not their fault as their parents did the same in a physical love... Human condition. Hope this edifies that God ... Firstly in all .

however ... Jesus did not need a boat nor was troubled by storm
why was it he slept ?

well we know Jesus being Christ was awake/alive seeing to be carnal minded is death/asleep and yet he being flesh his body/flesh grew weary as other parts of this book show he also thirsted ....
in short ... he overcame his own flesh as a covering by giving it no thought other than its needs and even this it did not trouble him as a thing to be concerned ... such faith ... such love ... how whole in oneself ... how at one with GOD ...
how at odds it is we live in a world where his name and title are used in a sardonic way when we all seek out what he became in himself ...
like looking for that lost coin ...
