• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hun, it won't make you gain weight, you'll find yourself having higher energy in time and burn it off almost as quickly as you ate it. You will find yourself sleeping better, more active, more able to concentrate, and generally feeling healthier. The traps in eating more are only the lies that are fed to you about gaining weight and being fat. I'm praying for ya hun! good luck!

eating is good for you. eating the right things and a balance of excersize is the key to your body functioning and thinking the way it's suppose to :hug: .

When I have trouble making myself eat, I just stick to liquids, like a protein shake, yogurt smoothie or juice. Somehow it's easier to take sips than to eat something solid. Also, when I was going through recovery, the nutritionist advised eating 5 small meals instead of 3 larger ones. That helps, because it doesn't feel like I'm eating much. Sorry I can't be more help right now. I'm relapsing with my old symptoms and having a hard time wanting to stay healthy, so I know where you're at saying you don't want to gain, and want to sneak in some healthier loss.
