What is your magesterium populated with... unicorns?
What a beautiful story!Magesterium has had the Holy Spirit flow through it since the church was first born! On that day in the upper room when the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles and so it has continued to guide and teach the Holy Catholic Church!
Seems like we have two competing "holy" spirits here doesn't it?What a beautiful story!
According to the few
Careful, someone might take an opportunity to point out the "church's" grievous history in persecuting and killing people.... guided and taught by the Holy Spirit you say?Magesterium has had the Holy Spirit flow through it since the church was first born! Do you believe the writings of Ellen White are inspired? If not then why the hypocrisy? Why would God pass on His Word only through pen and ink (see 2 Jn 12, 3 Jn 13), when the Bible says to hold fast to the traditions, whether they were given orally or by letter?

You really believe that a minimum of 50 million people were killed over the centuries by people in the church and the church didn't sanction it? Come on!The killings etc were by individuals and not from the core teachings of the church.

I'm pretty sure I can drag up encyclicals and bulls that say otherwise...
As we know, some popes of the time were abominable and these killings were by 'puppet' popes and clergy with their own agenda. The core beliefs of the church could never be changed.

A pope is only presumed to be infallible when speaking to matters of faith and morals. For example, when he burps, he doesn't burp infallibly. Or in the case of Pope Francis, he's welcome to have whatever political viewpoint he likes but the faithful are not required to agree with him about his politics.I thought the church taught that the Pope is infallible? That they are God here on earth and, as you say, what ever is decreed by them on earth is decreed in Heaven, right? So if some were right and some were wrong, how do you know the difference?

But when something is decreed through an official organ, then it's considered infallible, correct?
That was a lot of circular reasoning right there... I tell you what. lol
So, the Pope is only infallible in matters of faith and morals... ok, was the selling of indulgences in the 15th and 16th century not a question of morals?
Big cathedral project coming up, lets get out there and get peoples money in exchange for what Jesus offers freely... sounds a little immoral to me.
Again, look up the history of that to get the facts. Don't tar the whole Catholic faith on an select few individuals.

Thanx for the propaganda... more circular reasoning I suppose. Let me check it out.
Please, no more tracts!! I would encourage all protestants on these forums to read these tracts... it's pure insanity! It's like going down a rabbit hole that never ends with the Mad Hatter (the guy with the fish hat) running the show.
Actually, I should thank you because by reading these you have confirmed what I thought I knew about the "church".
