If you would like, I can point you to some of horrible harassment that Moriah and friends have been subjected to because their posts are public. Then, you might begin to see why this needs to be private. Those doing the harassment seem incapbable of learning the kind of compassion that needs to be exhibited. The only thing we can do is keep them away from her and those like her.

 The benefits outweigh the negatives :) Pfft, oh to be 17 again!

Every kid wants to be an adult and every adult wants to be a kid. Ironic, isn't it. ;)
Though I don't consider myself a kid. :)

Old scratch likes to stick the knife in, when I am tried and in pain

This time he hasn't just stuck it in, but has proceeded to twist it around and make sure maximum pain is reached. In the grand scheme of things, this was merely the straw that broke the camles back

I wont be ministering, continuing to press through issues with some of the wonderful people that encouraged me and have helped me to get back into a church in real time. I want recovery so badly its like a physical injury. Would like to be able to dialogue with christians without falling into an anxiety attack and to enter a church without being scared

I will say this though God is truly God, were He not, I would have let go and embraced the oblivion of the abyss. It is through Him, that I am still here and it is in Him that I will continue to put one foot infront of the other

If the stresses of this are bothering you i am sorry for this, my desire is to see the best for every soul

. Are you going to be one ministering in this new forum?

I would never be 17 again... not for all of the tea in China LOL :) ... but oooh to be 25 again... or even 30... would be wonderful.

Sylvanspirit... you are wise beyond your years.

Neither would I, D'Ann. As a matter of fact, I wish I could do some kind of "Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind" thing and erase 16-25 completely from my memory.

That is ironic. For adults, it called the Peter Pan syndrome... not sure why teens want to grow up so fast. Being an adult is not that much fun... although, it can be and it does have some good points.

What is nice about being young is that you have your whole life ahead of you. You are still in the process of deciding on what direction your life should go... There is still so many wonderful things in life for you to discover and learn about... and the older one gets... the more things there are to learn about. I guess we never stop learning... or discovering... but to be young and to be able to start your life... your career, make your dreams come true or some of them... that is a nice thing.

Thank you  I realize all of you have genuine concern for me, and I thank you for it. It is truely touching that you care for me. I just think that because I have already been exposed to such things and have established myself as being helpful, I would be well suited for being in this forum, even if I was the only person under 21.
If you wish, I could post the PM I sent requesting access to explain my position. :)

Exactly, Belinda. So why do no others get a "sooper seekrit" forum to vent their pain. Why only Moriah?
for the 900th time

It is not only for moriah

I am not one of those ministering, I am one of the ones who is being ministered to

I can completely relate. I would like to erase from age 13 to 18 out of my memory forever. LOL

I'm grateful though for the years and what I had learned. We wouldn't be who we are now if we hadn't learned and explored and experienced what we did throughout our lives. Of course, there are always regrets... and yet, it is with those regrets that we learn and hopefully grow stronger in our faith and appreciation for the good parts of our lives.

I am still not understanding why the secrecy? We have all been through a lot of things. Maybe keep it from small children, which is easily blocked by age, but there is not any other reason to keep this secret. All that will happen is a lot of speculation, and most of it wrong. It still will cause problems.

You could have a calling in this ministry. No need to post your pm. I do hope though, that if you can... if it is possible... please let your parents know and ask their permission. They might surprise you and support you in this... and even join you in prayers. God moves in mysterious ways... we all have different callings...

This could be part of your calling... I don't know this for sure... I guess that is between you and Jesus.

Your heart is in the right place.

God's Peace,

Debbie

One other thing.
The little ones will not stumble across this if it's kept hidden. But if it's out in the open, I guarantee that there will be some younger ones / week in the faith that will Find it.

BelinaP posted: Moriah is a Christian seeker and not just a seeker. Christian seekers are considered to be Christian from the POV of the board.

Also, while many envision the members running around ranting wildly, that is not what I expect to happen. What is likely to happen is that one of the members will make a very questionable post, and there will be many Christians there to comfort and straighten that member out.

Moriah, in particular, has a lot of mixed-up views. We were just getting to the point where we could address them with her when a group of members took it upon themselves to begin harassing her to the point of distraction. It is impossible to witness when a member is so upset that they are harming themselves. We need a safe retreat where they can say what's on their minds without fear of being told they're going to hell or the like. While posts might stand that would appall many Christians, the purpose is to help straighten these wrong beliefs out in a safe atmosphere.

Also, Pastoral team members have rights to post in the forum. It is a misconception that they won't be able to post in that forum.

The PoV of the board is irrelevant compared to the PoV of the posters on the board. Moriah has gone off the deep end in open rebellion against God, the claim of 'Christian seeker' would be seen as incredibly shallow when reading just a few of her posts in that blog of hers. .

What you "expect" to happen is also irrelevant. We want to be able to SEE what actually happens, and closing off a forum will ONLY cause suspicion amongst the Christian Posters. That this simple fact has totally eluded the leaders of the forum causes me to doubt their judgment.

As for Harassment, that word can be painted upon people rather easily. Simple confrontation over blasphemous remarks can be seen as harassment, and considering the rules of that forum say that a person is NOT to be made to feel judged over their beliefs, I wonder how those Christians on the board will be of any useful effect? How can a person feel the need to repent when their blasphemies cannot be judged as the diabolical abominations that they are?

I think this pm answers the other pm. I believe that Erwin can do age blocks. I do suggest an age block... unless they have parental permission...

Although, I don't know... I think sylvanspirit should be an exception. Not sure how it should be done.

I'm an adult that never would want to be a kid again. Not ever. My mother died when I was 7, and it all went downhill (believe it or not) until I finally turned around and realized that only through Christ would I be saved and complete. I love the life I have now.

But I do have an honest concern and request. Make another recovery subforum that is private for others who would like help without the whole world watching. Please.

was worried about Sylvan Spirits, mainly in the terms of age. The world sucks unbelievably at times, and didnt want to see him have to be exposed to the ugly side of life.

He has a heart of gold, and a maturity beyond his years, he is also well grounded in Christ. I am still a bit iffy about the age, however i am glad he is there
