A young priest and an old priest . . . .

Huh? Fr. Rick, is he the old priest or young priest. Who is the other priest.

I think BelindaP will be helping with counseling in this new forum as well. That is a good thing.

Thank you Indrid for addressing the question at least. I must admit when you mention sounding evasive, i do feel you have kiinda sidestepped the question. I do realize it may be a hard one to answer publicly, given the nature of the question and a considering a good portion of people you are addressing here might be opposed to the answer.

I truly dont ask it in a harsh way or anything hateful... IF people attempting to escate the occult are to receive councelling however, i am of the mindset that says those still practicing in any way, are not fit to 'help them escape'. For this reason i am against moriah councelling, and nothing personal at all, but my convictions cause me to question whether or not you should.

Would you mind explaining for clarification, how are you a christian AND a mystic... what 'mysticism' do you practice and how would you say this is compatible with christianity, and IS THIS promoting things that are against Christ as per the 5 standards of this board?

Thank you for understanding this is not a personal attack, but rather serious spiritual concern for people who are to be counciled here

The type of actions I've seen directed at Moriah, and all others involved with this forum, isn't biblical.

The last twelve pages (for me, being that I have 40pp) regarding this new area makes it clear why it should remain private.

By this do you mean we shouldnt ask why its being said moriah will be ministering, and that we cant or shouldnt question those who may still be associated with occultish activities, who are supposedly there to help people escape the occult?

I see no uncivility toward anyone, and certainly feel none myself, i hope the best for all. But if those still active in it are to be ministering, i see no deliverance, but a possible snare to keep those who are lost, lost.

I salute you for stepping up though. It is frightening, and you may be untrained. But Love is not something you can train. But I understand their concerns as well. But good job unto you for still trying.

Father Rick is an Old Catholic priest. I'm not sure of his age, but I know he's not terribly young.

I specifically said "and others", rather, not just Moriah. For that notation, this is my point, even my statement was clear that it was for her, and all others associated with this, she is still the target.

I mean nothing more than what I said.

It's summed up in Matthew7:1, for all whom have stated their 'peace' on anyone else's salvation or righteousness:
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged."

So how many who are still involved in occultic activities are going to be members or ministering there?

So far i see 2 from everything thats been said.

I would also like to ask how this is not breaking one of the 5 principles of this board in allowing that which is against Christ.

Hiya, love Have you seen rudeness? Am sorry if there's been any. It hasn't felt antagonistic in any way... I hope no-one's feelings are being hurt by this thread. It seemed to have become one of learning, and trying to understand and hugs more than anything else?

The correct rendering is do not condemn.

I do not condemn moriah or indrid or anyone. I am however opposed to them ministering to anyone given possibly attatchments to the occult still. Also given clear statements that no deliverance is desired. Also giving the fact that she didnt stop posting on occultish boards until the time it was proposed she have her own forum here.

I am simply opposed to things being done in silence, enough of that has gone on here and enough promices have been just clearly broken. I would like an administrative judgement on HOW allowing those in the occult to minister to those seeking recovery is not breaking the 5 principles which include promotion of anything against Christ. I think as christians and as people depending on the promices concerning these 5 principles which are promised to us, we have not only the right but the obligation to ask these things. Otherwise the principles mean not a thing and are only window dressing to appease those of us who believe and stand on the word imho.

Right now there are three recovering members. However, I know of a few more who would like access.

The forum doesn't violate the five principles. Yes, there are going to be posts that challenge God, but they will not go unanswered.

Theres been moments of sting I am sure we have all felt in one moment or another. But this is the most civil thread I have seen. And being somewhat active in it I have seen such great people. In a way I am glad this thread exists because its bringing a lot of us together. IMO.

I beg to differ on this, Belinda.

Section 1.4 of the first principle reads as such:

1.4 No forum (with the exception of the teen forums) will restrict entry or participation based upon a member's religious beliefs or lack thereof. Members are expected to obey all of a forum’s rules while posting there.
