Very good deal! I'm not a huge Grateful Dead fan and I've never heard of Go Baroque by the Beatles, but the others are quite good. Especially STP's Purple. Superb album.

Very good deal! I'm not a huge Grateful Dead fan and I've never heard of Go Baroque by the Beatles, but the others are quite good. Especially STP's Purple. Superb album.

actually, the "beatles go baroque" is the name of this cd. It's a baroque orchestra playing beatles songs. it's interesting to hear... but of course, it's not as good as hearing the original versions.

I know some might make fun of Avril as too "poppy" but I think this girl has a future. Her songs are actually pretty brilliant and she writes them herself... Many of her lyrics seem to come from a wisdom and insight well beyond her teenage years.

Her new album is a lot more grown up than the first, probably as a result of experiences in life, and one of the songs 'slipped away' is really sad. Also she's engaged (to Deryck - Sum41) so I think we could be seeing her mature a lot more.
