BTW, I have never asked saints to pray for me, much less Mary. It is just not my way, but I think that it is wrong to judge others for following the practices of the first Christians.

The Bible came along quite awhile after these practices. A few hundred years to be exact. They never dreamed that anyone would disrespect Jesus' mother, I'm sure that they would all think anyone who does is completely insane. They didn't feel the need to address the unthinkable.

Apostolic Tradition is the source of the Bible. You are apparently not familiar with early Christian history. Only one of the Disciples died of natural causes, they were constantly on the run and in danger, often killed in mass numbers.

The NT is the smallest religious scripture on the planet as a result. It is hardly more than a pamphlet. Every other religion has droves of scripture, Christianity has the bare bones because Satan was trying very hard to stamp it out.

Facts;
She was created, not by accident, but with deliberate intention.

She was honored by the Angel in his greeting to her.

Satan will strike at her heel, and she will strike at his head.

Jesus listens to her.

Jesus loves her above other creatures.

She did the Lord's will perfectly.

She nurtured Him, nursed Him, raised Him, taught Him, gave birth to Him, gave Him human flesh, was His most intimate relationship with mankind.

He honored her, He loved her, He obeyed her [4th commandment] and He protects her.

Knowing His deep love and devotion to His own Mother WHOM HE created as the Mother He wanted.......she is indeed worthy of our requests.

AND when I draw my dying breath, I pray she is there to ask Her Son to let me with Him for all eternity.
And that I am given the opportunity to see the role model of true Christianity.

I hope when I die, she is my first sight, standing along side her Son, asking Him for me, that I am able to be with His beautific vision and with Our Father.

I venture to guess, since all through out the entire Bible...all of scriptures, Jesus tells everyone else what must be done....and only His Mother tells Him what must be done.
And He obeys Her wishes to please the wedding party.

Where else does Christ simply obey? Besides the Father?

The lowest will be the greatest.
Mary was the humblest, and the most exalted by God. [hence my past quotes] The lowly shall be exated by God...

The last shall be first.

Think about it.

I know she came through many times in the forms of miracles...by beseeching her help.

Good point! The antiMary people seem to think that the 4th commandment doesn't apply to Jesus, or that Jesus would choose for the 4th commandment not to apply to Him.
