My faith deepens by the day. I pray daily for Jesus to be in charge of me.
There are many people who are important to me of course. My mother, my partner, my brothers, dear close friends erc. BUT, they do not and cannot give me help every moment, be with me every second and grant me eternal life.
I know that Jesus is the only one I can truly rely upon for all time. Therefore I answer only to Him.
Those here who are not yet christian, think who there is you can rely on forever? Where is your assurance?
I've probably not explained my thoughts all that well though. My point is, all fear disappears when Jesus is Lord of your life, above absolutely everyone else. Therefore, though I know that my beloved mother will die, my partner could finish our relationship or get ill and die like my late husband did, friends can desert me as some have. Whatever happens I am strong and secure in my life, because Jesus never abandons any of his flock. Wow! What security. God saw me through so much already, He will do the same again always.
