I forgot to add that i also consider rap a form of noise rather than music. It is suited to those who have no appreciation for music, and the people who perform it obviously have no musical talent, only a drum machine.

It's not about the style, it's about the emphasis on the art itself. The passion that flows into it, and sadly, I see fairly little of it in rap or rock. I see even less in so many other forms though. I personally prefer rock, but it's generally very alternative stuff. None of that mundane punk trash either.

the thing that i dont like about hip-hop is the live performances. the music is always generated so all it takes is the performer to just rap along (maybe a bit of scratching for a DJ but thats about it). i dont mind hip-hop (except for the language) when they have a band backing them up.
