  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi Chickapee!!! Hey sis!!! I sympathize... I'm the same sis, when I feel pretty dry I'm pretty quiet too, I prefer my spring not failing though Im not quite sure why we go through that (always) though Im certain there is a purpose in it, maybe Wheeler could expound a bit on what he is come to understand concerning that occuring. Though Im sorta afraid to even ask (to be honest with you) because being dry is like the worst experience for me :o. But I also know he waters the thirst ground, and makes springs in the desert and His rains do come to us again. As this has always been the case, but the long one I come out of I thought would never end.

Wheeler is this nessesary always? This (as I would word it) which feels more like going in and out (so to speak) till (perhaps) we go out no more? You know...As somehow used to benefit us even a a form of chastening us in some way? Do you have anything on this experience we go through that we can make greater sense of it through the scriptures which could interpret this experience we go through in dryness of Spirit verses the other? Somehow it actually helps (even encourages folks) to understand via scriptures as to why this occurs to us. I regard His judging us as His chastening us and as beneficial for us but Im not sure if thats the context of why we suffer this (dryness) whether or not it pertains to this context or not.

Chickapee could use the encouragemnt and I would love to better understand this myself (because I go through the same) have you as well? Does it become more or less frequent etc? Any thoughts according too scripture would be wonderful if you could expound a bit on it, when you have time available (ofcourse)

Blessings to you both:groupray:

I have been studying on the child (a babe still yet carnal) and a son (full age) I have always sorta regarded (even these two) as it pertains to Christ (as the Rock of AGES) after a spiritual truth (which really blessed my socks off) Because to one He cannot speak to "as spiritual" (but as unto babes, carnal, walking yet as men) able only for milk. The other as "perfect" (or as unto the full age) able for strong meat or far more able to receive what the Spirit is saying. Sorta like "two parts" of the same body (if I am wording this correctly) one (still yet carnal, earthly minded) and the other spiritual (heavenly minded) but as one body (either partially formed) of the earth or fully formed (of heaven) over which He is the head and of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.

The older serving the younger in that respect. Does that make sense? Sorta like how Paul could speak unto them (yet carnal) as a man (and in the tongues of men, earthly) but unto them who were perfect he could speak in wisdom (yet not the wisdom of this world) but speaking as unto them who are spiritual (or in some respect) more in the tongues of angels (the heavenly).

I love the way these are worded

Prov 27:23 Be thou diligent to know ~the state~ of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

Phil 2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know ~your state~.

Its even picked up right here in relation to what Jesus is showing (in regards to their condition= "children"= no meat)

John 21:5 Then Jesus saith unto them, ~Children~, have ye any meat? They answered him,No.

Heb 5:14But strong meat ~belongeth to~them that are of full age, even those who by ~reason of use~ have their senses exercisedtodiscernboth good and evil.

Mat 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom ~his lord~ hath made ruler over his household, to give them ~meat~ in ~due season~?

Paul as a faithful servant of Christ knows "their condition" (meat being in "due season" Paul reccognizes this)

1Cr 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither ~yet now~ are ye able.

Fireinfolding,

Excellent study!! It makes complete sense. We have been as "children" but are to "grow up" in Christ when His preachers give the children their "meat" in due season. I think that season is arriving quickly!

And as a matter of your question of "who am I?"......You are one of those who are to give their meat in due season.

You are of the Spirit of Truth and you need no man to teach you.

(1 John 2:27 KJV) But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

You are a disciple of Christ in whom is the Spirit of Truth....and you know Him.

(John 14:17 KJV) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

The Spirit of Truth will guide you into all Truth......the Truth of the Scriptures in Christ Jesus. Blessed are they who hear and do what the Spirit says.

(John 16:13 KJV) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

Those who are of the Spirit of Truth hear what God says in the Scripture of Truth. And those who are of the Spirit of Truth will listen to those who preach the Truth.

(1 John 4:6 KJV) We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

You are a friend of God.....called, chosen and faithful.

(John 15:15 KJV) Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

The Lord has chosen you and ordained you to go and bring forth fruit. You are to be one of His preachers....a teacher of the revealed Truth.

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Abraham is called a “friend of God”.....because he believed His Word.

(James 2:23 KJV) And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

What is this work of the friend of God? To believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who opens up the Scriptures to us in this last day.....to hear what the Spirit says.

(John 6:28 KJV) Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

You are one of those “stars” that will shine.....who will turn many to righteousness....by the preaching of the Word of Truth.

(Dan 12:3 KJV) And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

And what is the function of the “stars?” They are to give light upon the earth.....to preach the Light of Christ Jesus to men who sit in the darkness of their earthly understanding. They are to rule in Christ over the Day and over the “night.”

(Gen 1:16 KJV) And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

We are to be raised together in the “heavenly places” in Christ Jesus....to be the “stars” that will shine His Light upon the dark understanding of earthly men. Dividing the Light from the darkness is to rightly divide the Word of God.....showing the Light from the darkness of man’s earthly understanding of the Bible.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

As the stars, we are to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus....to shine the Light of His knowledge.

(Eph 2:6 KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

He blesses us with all spiritual blessings in “heavenly places” in Christ. Stars shine in the heavenly places.

(Eph 1:3 KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

He has chosen you in Him before the “foundation” of the world to be holy and without blame before Him in love. Before the “foundation of the world” is speaking of the casting down of this current, religious, carnal-minded world. The Greek word for “foundation” here in Ephesians is “katabole” which means “to cast down, throw down.” Babylon will be thrown down...but He chooses us before this happens to know the mystery of His will.

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Before the casting down of this world, He chooses us to be in His wisdom....to show us the mystery of His will that has been hidden in the Scriptures.

8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

We are to be His messengers....stars....to preach to those who are dispersed through out man’s dark knowledge and carnal understanding. That is our inheritance...to preach the Word of Truth so that we can participate with Him in gathering together in ONE all things in Christ. That is our inheritance.

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Those chosen to first trust in Christ....the Truth.....are to be fellow workers with Him in gathering all those who are scattered across all denominations. ...who are in bondage to their doctrines, commandments, traditions of men.

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

We shall be the “angels” or messengers who shall gather together His elect from the four winds.

(Mark 13:27 KJV) And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

As disciples, He openly shows us the Truth...Christ Jesus. The Scriptures are opened (to eat and drink with Him) so that we can be witnesses chosen before God......we are to preach to the people....as the “stars” lead many to righteousness.....as the “angels” of heaven come to gather His elect from the four winds.

(Acts 10:40 KJV) Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly;
41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

A “star” is a higher power.....a ruler in Christ.....that is ordained of God to be a minister of Him. We are to sit in His throne with Him.

(Rom 13:1 KJV) Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

That is who you are.....a messenger of the Truth.

Talk to you later,

Wheeler

AMEN Wheeler!!:clap: You blessed my heart in Christ! Bless you brother and thank you so much! I love His words unmuddled with our own He sure does quicken them to us dont he? How great and good is the Lord!

You know Wheeler... one verse in particular you posted was quickened to me as I read, the one which pertains to "the firmament" and how God hath SET the stars in the firmament just as he has raised us up to SIT in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The koolest part is discovering the likeness of the throne (The paved work of the Sapphire stone) which is the body of heaven In HIS CLEARNESS and we are the body of CHRIST (Who is compared to The Jasper Stone, a stone MOST PRECIOUS) and CLEAR AS CRYSTAL (Seated ABOVE HER, and who is also THE FIRST foundation Stone as likened UNDER HER and the building of the wall of the city (SURROUNDING HER) is also OF JASPER. Her having the glory of God is again also compared to the same stone (most precious) as even her light is likened to that stone (in particular) showing there HE is IN THE MIDST OF HER) Its like catching these huge glorious glimpses of the most beautiful spiritual blessings given to us In Jesus Christ, and Christ in us our very hope of Glory! His words never fail to bless as quickened by His Spirit to ours, truly they are life brother

These are kool Wheeler (I highlight often to shown how one verse connects to the other (in someway) and it helps me out immensely in my studying (so im glad the colors dont bug you but if they do get to you simply copy paste them to somewhere, click "select all" then select the color black and they will turn to normal. I get alot of complaints about that and I know you havent but for some reason I simply cannot stop myself from doing it (all my studies look like a rainbow thing I got going on) ^_^ Like a child playing with markers and yet it never ceases to get old with me LOL

This is beautiful...

Ezekiel 10:1 Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

Exodus 24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.

Ephes 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus

Heres the stone and the clearness (She has the glory, him the stone most precious is Him)

Rev 20:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Which speaks to "the gift"

Prov 17:8 A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that *hath it*

2Cr 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

1Peter 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

The body of Christ "set" in heavenly places = the paved work of the Sapphire stone = body of heaven (in "his clearness")

1Cr 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

Gen 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

Phil 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me

Isaiah 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Mark 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

2Cr 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Prov 16:15 In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.

Prov 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

1Cr 9:24 So run, that ye may obtain.

Acts 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us

Psalm 5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him

Gen 15:1 Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

His words so rock!! We can truly go on and on and on and see the great precious promises everywhere throughout His word. If His words dont stir us up we must be twicedead because His words are so life I would actually need to ask how can the dead rise not? ^_^ (kidding) but its always a blessing, first thing in the morning to come read your posts and be further blessed and sprout wings and end up being in a higher place then when you first started off. Coffee cant even do that for me lol

Blessings to you my brother Wheeler (you have blessed my heart) or God has through you.

Wow ! what a wonderful thing to come back too !! GOD IS AWESOME! Thanks be to Him for the faithful ... I feel as though we are to walk by the Spirit and live by Faith and sit at the table the Lord prepares for us and at some point these things change for us whom are growing in Christ all at different levels of spiritual growth .. we have to walk and sit and live and even die in many types of Gods Word God knows what He is doing and we have great confidence in that though all these experiences , even the dry spells , and they are very ''rough patches'' to say the least .. I have noted though when growing the gardens over the years that any threat of the plant dying seems to kick it into growth !! just as the flood that come though last Friday evening did ! I am amazed at how much these '' new plants ''want to Live! and some do recover ! and even prosper better than they did in dormant mode and all was well I just wonder if the Good Lord does ALLOW this in our lives as well THE INCREASE OF GOD !! WOW ! 1Cr 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Col 2:19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. We are sort of like those planted by the Lord in the earth but not of it .... blessing in the Lords increase ! C

^_^ I've been around!!

You know me... where the scriptures are being discussed, there I am. :D

Though I probably should go back and re-read from the beginning since it has been some time since the thread was started and I don't recall everything that I have read over the last several month (can't even remember, to be honest, whether or not I ever posted to this thread before or not :o).

How much have I missed? :sorry: :D

Not really much to add right now, but just really enjoying what is already being discussed/shared!

Hi Fireinfolding, Chickapee and Angelmom01,

Sorry for the delay. Thank you Fireinfolding for those scriptures....love those colors! Keep it up!

Just wanted to say that in years past I have recognized all three of you....by reading your posts.... as those who are in the Truth....who are true seekers of God. I greet you as such.....for there are not many currently out there. It is like awakening very early in the morning after a long, slumbering period of darkness and discovering others out there who are also “awake” in the Light of His Truth. I thank God for that and greet you in His name....in His love.

(1 Cor 16:20 KJV) All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.

Regarding the “dryness” that comes and goes.....I have more questions than answers. ...which means I don’t know why it happens. The only scripture that comes to my mind is in Revelation where it says “he shall go no more out.” That is what it has felt like to me....going “out”....out of His presence....out of zeal for Him. It has perplexed me in the past. There have been long periods of times I don’t feel very spiritual at all.....the “dry” times.....the “going out” times. During those times....I have felt cold and detached from Him. I know I am not perfect....I yearn for those spiritual “highs” that I get when I sense His close presence.

(Rev 3:12 KJV) Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

What does it mean? I don’t know. I have my “theories.” Perhaps these dry times come to remind us that His knowledge did not come from our own reasoning. Maybe it is to keep us from pride....to remind us that we are still those frail human beings that need to rely on Him for our “food.” And what is most foremost in my mind is that these “dry” times come to present opportunities for us to show Him we really want Him....we desire His knowledge....especially in “dry” times...when we don’t feel exactly spiritual and on fire for Him. But, I don’t know...but it seems we have all had them...which is comforting to know.

I want to present a study which is very important to me. I may start posting in the morning...if you are interested. It concerns Paul and his writings...and connections to Benjamin, John and Revelation. Some of these things I have talked about before...and may seem repetitive to those who have actually read them. Some things are new. I want to post them through out the week.

Starting next weekend, I’ll be gone from here a little while.

Thanks for reading and considering!

HI Wheeler!

Thank you for your kind words. I think that it is safe for me to speak for all three of us when I say that we feel the same way about you.

It is truly a pleasure to read your posts and see how you reason with the scriptures and with others who desire to look into these things as well.

I look forward to seeing the study that you mentioned and hope that you are able to post it as soon as tomorrow.

God Bless!!

Yep! She sure speaks for me, we agree, though very rarely do we ever disagree (to be honest).

Its so nice in here no arguing and debating^_^ (did I speak too soon?) ^_^ Tis true He leadeth us to still waters, I have had just about enough of the raging ones lol

Its very rare to share scriptures and convey back what comes to you (That God has quicken to any or all). Its mostly argumentative thing around here (though not in this particular section). I suppose you come expect it (afterwhile) and sorta pleasantly surprised when that expectation is not met huh? I didnt think it was possible to avoid (well most of the time anyway). But heres Wheeler "down here" avoiding contention (just sharing the words of scripture) on his own little thread here, its so adorable

Speaks volumes to me actually, and is a good example of how to labour in the doctrine (and preaching the word) not involving yourself with strife or quarrel.

Hey, just open your own thread and post away to your hearts desire and let whosoever will come, come... you know?

Way to go:thumbsup: Gods richest blessings to you!

The dry places in scripture
seem to not be a good ''sign'' He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
copyChkboxOff.gif
Luk 11:24When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Luk&c=11&t=KJV#comm/25 And when he cometh, he findeth [it] swept and garnished.
http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Luk&c=11&t=KJV#comm/26 Then goeth he, and taketh [to him] seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last [state] of that man is worse than the first.

I am not perfect either, but wait for the Lord to do this'' work '' within and us all really that we might be made ''perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect as Jesus said in the beautiudes in Matt 5

Love is what cast out fear 1Jo 4:18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

I know that the fear of the Lord is the begining of wisdom
yet the end shall be in perfect love

Pro 19:8He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.

trusting the LORD and asking for His help always
love in Jesus C ....

Well, here goes.....this is just the first part. Please read with an open mind and consider the idea. Just sit back and humor me for the week.

As Peter points out, Paul’s letters have been misused....abused....in the mouths of “unlearned and unstable” men. This is not a trivial, oh-by-the-way statement.

(2 Pet 3:16 KJV) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Men have taken his epistles and have done what they wanted with them. They have twisted and distorted Paul’s gospel for the things they covet after..... “other men’s gold and silver and apparel” These men are typified by “Alexander the coppersmith” in 2nd Timothy. They have taken Paul’s words and “hollowed” them out without the spiritual Truth and remade their meanings after their own understanding. By doing so, they teach falsehoods with Paul’s epistles and have done him much evil.

(2 Tim 4:14 KJV) Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

They have greatly withstood his words by misspeaking them in their wresting of them.

15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

But in this last day, the Lord will reveal the spiritual Truth in Paul’s words....for it is Christ Jesus who speaks through Paul. The Lord will strengthen Paul’s writings in the Truth....so that we might FULLY know what is being preached to us....so that we Gentiles might “hear” what is truly being said in Christ Jesus. The Lord comes to deliver Paul’s writings out of the “mouth of the lion”.....out of the mouths and understanding of unlearned and unstable men who preach Paul in error for covetousness.

17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

The Lord shall deliver him from every evil work. Unstable men have misused Paul’s letters for their evil works.

18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

They have misused them for “imprisoning” those of the church in false doctrines, commandments and traditions of men.....based on Paul’s epistles. This was shown by example of the persecution of the Way unto the “death” by Saul in Acts. As Saul did these things, men also spiritually do them to the churches using Paul’s letters. And here is the central point: it was God’s plan for this to happen.....He granted permission for his letters to be used this way.

(Acts 22:4 KJV) And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.

The “letters” that were received in authority from God in order to bind and deliver men and women into “prisons” are Paul’s very own epistles.

5 As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished.

They have, with God’s permission, used Paul’s writings to make “havoc of the church.” They have entered into every house....every church....and committed many to “prison”....to doctrines, commandments and traditions of men that were hollowed out of his letters... they are likened to “Alexander the coppersmith.”

(Acts 8:3 KJV) As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

They are likened to “Saul”....which means “to ask” and comes from the word “Sheol” which means the “grave.”

(Acts 9:1 KJV) And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

Saul ASKED (desired) the “high priest” letters to bind those of the Way. It is Satan that had asked God for Paul’s letters to use in order to haul the church into “prison” to test it. The “messenger of Satan” is a thorn in the flesh of Paul’s writings. Unlearned and unstable men = Satan’s ministers who have authority to use the “letters” of Paul in order to test the church.

2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

If we look back in Job, we find this very same message. Satan asked for permission of God to try Job. “Job” means “hated, persecuted.”

(Job 2:3 KJV) And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

Job is a veiled reference to Christ Jesus and his body. We, the church, are the body of Christ. All of the Scriptures are part of his body. Satan had asked permission from God to touch “his bone and his flesh.” This was permitted by God according to His plan.

5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

And so Satan has taken Paul’s “letters” with authority from God (and the rest of the Scriptures) and have wrest them with his own preachers who pose as ministers of righteousness in order to test the church. ....to sift it as wheat. The mouth of the lion has taken Paul and devoured those who have fallen victim to them. He has smote the body of Christ...the church... with “sore boils”....but our Lord is without sin.....even if we live in sin and are dead in trespasses.

7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.
9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

We should not question God about this in our own wisdom as shown by Job’s response ...for it is His plan that this should happen to the Scriptures (his bone) and to the church (his flesh.) It is all for His good purpose...in order to display His glory through the revelation of the Truth....Christ Jesus at the appointed time. “Foolish women” = those unlearned and unstable men who know not what they speak...those who lean upon their own wisdom.

10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh.
What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

This is why Paul would only glory in the time being of his “infirmities” because he knew by his own personal, earthly experience of trials and tribulations what was spiritually in store for his writings in the mouths of the ministers of Satan.....in the “mouth of the lion”....that would be used to imprison the church. He did not protest this but gloried in his “weakness” knowing that Christ would come and rescue his writings from the mouth of the lion. As Jesus stated, he would show him how great things he must suffer for his name’s sake. It didn’t just end with Paul’s departure from this earth but carried on spiritually through his writings.

(Acts 9:16 KJV) For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

He acknowledged he was going “bound in the Spirit” unto Jerusalem.

(Acts 20:22 KJV) And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

The Holy Spirit had witnessed and spoke about this to Paul.....by his own personal trials, tribulations, bonds while he lived in this world. He knew, by example of his own life, what would come after him...what his own writings would endure...that they would be misused by unlearned men to deceive. His written words would suffer “bonds and afflictions.” They would be used by fleshly men to imprison the church.

23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

And yet none of these things moved him.

24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Paul prophesied through the Spirit that we, the church, would not see his “face” any more....for the lion was coming to devour his writings. The wolves were coming after his departure. In other words, we would not see the spiritual Truth in Paul’s words because of the wresting and distortions of unlearned and unstable men. Only in the mind of Christ Jesus can we understand Paul correctly.

25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

And he states for the record, that he is pure from the blood of all men. Paul’s writings are pure in Truth....he has not concealed them but has written them as revealed by Christ Jesus. He has not purposely wrote to harm us in any way. His writings are 100% pure and noble. It is Satan and his ministers who have used his words (Paul's weakness....his infirmities) in order to place the church in bondage and tribulations.

26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

And when we are awakened to the Truth in Paul, we understand this statement in 2 Corinthians. His “letter” made us “sorry” for a “season.” That “season” is the season that Satan and his ministers have devoured the church and put it into “prison.” The church has experienced trials and tribulations at the preaching of ungodly men....the “wolves” who spare not the flock.

(2 Cor 7:8 KJV) For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.

But the same “letter” that has brought the church sorrow also brings repentance when the Lord Jesus Christ opens up our understanding of Paul. Paul’s gospel is to the awakening church in this last day.

9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

When it is understood how we have badly treated Paul’s letters, it produces godly sorrow.....which works repentance to salvation. The misusing of his writings had previously caused the “sorrow of the world” which worked “death.”

10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

As Paul shows us spiritually, by the example of his own life, it is man who “thought” with himself to interpret Paul’s writings. Man in his own wisdom has taught many things with Paul’s epistles that are contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

(Acts 26:9 KJV) I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Satan had received authority from God to strike Job with “sore boils.” Satan had received authority to sift Peter as wheat. Satan had received authority to take Paul’s letters and wrest them in order to imprison and test the church....to sift it as wheat. Only Jesus is without sin....we have all sinned. We have missed the mark of the Truth of God.

10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

Satan and his ministers, who distort Paul, have “compelled” many in the church..... “every synagogue”.... to blaspheme. But all blasphemy against the Son of man is forgiven. Christ Jesus is the only one without sin.....as Job.

11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
