  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Chickapee, I thank God that your mother in law was able to get a liver transplant. I hope and pray she can pull through all of this.

The Lord told the woman who had the issue of blood to go “into” peace. Likewise, the healed church is to go into peace….the peace of God.

(Luke 8:48 KJV) And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

He will give us peace….to those who are of a contrite and humble spirit. He will revive the spirit of the humble. To those who humbly receive His Truth, he will heal.

(Isa 57:15 KJV) For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made

Covetousness in the church produces strife and envy….hate for each other. But our God will heal His church

17 For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.

He will heal us and restore us:

18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.

He will heal us and have us go into peace…His peace. We will no longer war with each other.

19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.

But those people of the church who do not receive the love of the Truth or choke out the Word are like the troubled sea……there is NO peace to the wicked.

20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

And as the multitude “thronged” and pressed the Lord, so also will there be those who will resist the Truth. They will not follow the Lord in the Truth but will deny….contradict…Him. They will speak evil of the spiritual things that they do not understand. They will perish in their own corruption. There will be no peace for those who do resist the Truth.

(2 Pet 2:12 KJV) But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

There will be “weeping and gnashing of teeth” to those who will be “cut asunder” because they did not recognize their visitation by the Lord. They did not listen to His voice and be healed. Instead, they will have resisted the Spirit of Truth….they will have contradicted His words with their own wisdom and words. By our words will be judged…by how we react to the Truth. A good man brings out of his heart good things…confession of the Lord, repentance, belief of the Truth. But an evil man resists the Truth for his own wisdom. He will contradict the Word of Truth with his words.

(Mat 12:35 KJV) A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

To be cut asunder is to be given over to a “reprobate mind” to be filled with all unrighteousness…..to perish in one’s own corruption…..in anger….in rage…in lamentation. There will be no peace for the wicked.

(Mat 24:50 KJV) The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Continuing on to the daughter of the ruler of the synagogue (the ruler’ s name was “Jairus”….which means “God will enlighten”)that was raised up from the dead….from “sleep.” Again, it is a prophetic picture for what the church is going to experience in these last days. All of Jesus’ deeds are symbolic of a much greater Truth. The Lord will come to “enlighten” our understanding of the Truth.

(Mark 5:35 KJV) While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

The “daughter” spiritually represents the “daughter of Zion.” The “daughter of Zion” is the church that is “asleep.” The church has been ruled by false teachers that keep her asleep. “Zion” means “barren, dry, drought.” We are the church of the spiritual drought of the Truth of the Scriptures. The Lord will enlighten us to the Scripture of Truth….it will no longer remain “dry” and barren of understanding….but will be “rained” upon with the teachings of our Lord. The salvation of Israel will come out of Zion….the “dry.” He will open our understanding to the Scriptures which will enable us to be free and productive in His knowledge.

(Psa 14:7 KJV) Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

We are the “children of Zion”….the “daughter of Zion” who shall rejoice in the Lord our God who will give us the former and latter rain. We shall have the full Truth of the knowledge of God and His Word…..to know the way of righteousness.

(Joel 2:23 KJV) Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

We are not to fear but have faith the Lord can raise His church from its sleep…to waken us to His righteousness. As our Lord was dead and is alive forever more, so also will the church be raised from its “death” and live forevermore with Him.

36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

The only ones that followed Jesus were Peter, James and John…..the same disciples who witnessed his transfiguration on the mount….who saw the glory of the Lord. They represent those today who will also wake up from their heavy sleep and see the glory of the Lord, believe and follow Him. The “two men” represent Moses and the prophets…..the Scriptures that stand in the Truth with the Lord. They will be with the Lord when He awakens the church.

(Luke 9:32 KJV) But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

And we see that Peter, James and John followed him.

Mark 5:37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

The church is not spiritually “dead” but is “asleep.” The “daughter of Zion” is asleep and needs to arise.

39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

As those who laughed to scorn were put out by Jesus 2000 years ago….so also will those who will laugh at heavenly wisdom….who refuse to believe what they hear TODAY. Those that do hear and believe will arise from their “sleep” at His speaking of the Word. Let us hear and believe the Lord so that we may enter in with Him:

40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

Let us not harden our hearts at the voice of God who speaks the Truth to us….let us believe and enter into His rest. Those who will not believe will be cast out of the kingdom. For “without” will be those who love and make a lie…..who laugh to scorn at the Truth….at the spiritual things of the Word of God.

(Rev 22:15 KJV) For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Those that will hear the Word in Truth and Spirit and believe on Him who speaks shall have Life…to wake from the “sleep”…arise from the dead…to pass from death into Life….to have the Light of Christ shine upon us who have been in darkness.

(John 5:24 KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

The church has been “asleep”….. “dead.” But the hour is coming and NOW is when the “dead” shall hear the voice of the Son of God. He will open the Scriptures to us in this last day so that we may be saved from our sins and from the wrath of God. Let us not “laugh to scorn” the spiritual Truth when we hear it….for He will “put us out” of the kingdom as judgment.

25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

Those that hear His voice and believe will awaken to Life. Those who “laugh to scorn” the Truth that is spoken to them will have judgment….they will be “put out.”

29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Again, the church is “asleep in the dust of the earth.” Not the literal dust….but the literal, earthly mind of man who only knows the outward letter of the Scriptures. Our Lord will awaken us to the deep, spiritual Truth of the Scriptures that is hidden by the outward, plain meaning of what man can see with his literal eyes…..the understanding of his earthly mind. Those that awake to this and believe….and do the Truth….will have Life. Those who will not believe and deny it when they hear it will have contempt:

(Dan 12:2 KJV) And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

And continuing in Mark, the little girl was taken by the hand and “Talitha cumi” was said to her. Our Lord in the strength of the power of God ( the right hand of God) will also raise the church up from its sleep. Our Lord will interpret the Scriptures for us so that we may have Life…so that we may arise from the sleep we are in. He will speak to us the Truth. He will interpret the Scriptures for us so that we may have true life in Him.

Mark 5:41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

He will save us with the strength of His right hand:

(Psa 20:6 KJV) Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

The church shall be revived….made to live. His right hand shall save us. He will take us by the “hand.”

(Psa 138:7 KJV) Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

The “damsel arose and walked”….she did “tread all around” after she had arisen. So also will the awakened church tread upon the enemies that have kept them imprisoned with their false teachings. She was “12”…..representing the 12 tribes of Israel….the gathering together of the church in the revealed Truth of the Lord.

Mark 5:42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

The “daughter of Zion” will arise and “thresh”….tread upon those who resist the Truth.

(Micah 4:13 KJV) Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

The Sun of righteousness will arise….to wake His church from its “sleep” of the night…with healing in His wings. The church will be healed from its present malady brought on by false teachers who have led it astray after many hurtful things of this world.

(Mal 4:2 KJV) But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

We shall then tread down the wicked:

3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

We are the “salt of the earth.” But if we have lost the “savour,” then we are cast out to be trodden under the feet of men. “Lost his savior” = “moraine” in the Greek…which means “to become foolish.” Let us not become foolish and reject and deny the Truth and be cast out when we hear His voice. Let us make peace with the Lord and each other.

(Mat 5:13 KJV) Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

But we are to “awake” from our “sleep”….we are to “arise from the dead” as the daughter of the ruler of the synagogue did. We are to arise and Christ shall give us light.

(Eph 5:14 KJV) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

And as the daughter walked around, we are also to walk perfectly….as wise and not as foolish. Let us not lose our “savour” and be cast out and trodden down.

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

And as Jesus commanded that something should be given the young girl to eat, the church also will be fed with the spiritual Truth of God….the bread of Life…the bread of Truth…the meat of the Word.

Mark 5:43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

We are to feed the church….the lambs. Those who hear what the Spirit says are to feed the lambs of the Lord. “Simon” meaning “hearing” and “Jonah” means “dove” which is the symbol for the Spirit…..we are to repeat what we hear the Spirit saying. The Lord will feed us with His Truth and we are to share this spiritual food with others.

John 21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

It is interesting to note that the word “Talitha” in “Talitha cumi” means “little lamb.” The root word is “taleh” which is “lamb.” The “little lamb” is to “arise” and be fed. The church is to awaken with the spoken Word of Truth and be fed with the bread of Life.

They were “astonished with a great astonishment” when they saw this.

(Mark 5:42 KJV) And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

And shortly thereafter, we find Jesus teaching in the synagogue and many hearing were also astonished. Not a disjointed detail. The Lord comes to us in this end time with His teaching…and it is astonishing! He opens the Scriptures up for our understanding….and how astonishing it is!

6:1 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

They were also astonished when they found Jesus teaching in the temple in Jerusalem at the young age of 12. Remember, the young girl was also 12 years old and the woman who touched Jesus’ garment also had an issue of blood for 12 years. 12 signifies the gathering of all of the people of God into Christ Jesus….the 12 tribes of Israel. Our Lord will gather us all into one body. No longer will we be scattered about in divisions….scattered by the four winds. In Luke’s account of the raising of the 12 year old girl, we see immediately after this the calling together of the 12 disciples. This is not a disjointed detail…it is all related by the number 12.

(Luke 8:54 KJV) And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.
55 And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.
56 And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.
9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

The age of the little girl who was raised was 12….the woman had a plague of an issue of blood for 12 years when she was healed…..Jesus called the 12 disciples together shortly after these two events. All are connected by the number 12 which signifies the gathering of the church together at its healing…its awakening from its sleep…in this end-time.

He sent the 12 to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Likewise, the church shall be called together (12) and will preach the kingdom of God in the revealed Truth and not man’s religious wisdom. We shall be healed….we will be awakened from our “sleep” and we shall become of one mind, body and mouth in Christ Jesus and preach the Word of God in Spirit and Truth. Jesus was 12 when they went “up” to Jerusalem. They “ascended” to Jerusalem for the “feast.”

(Luke 2:42 KJV) And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.

This is showing us spiritually the end-time church being fed by Jesus. We are to be gathered in Christ Jesus as one…..all 12 tribes. We are to “arise” to “Jerusalem”…to the “New Jerusalem” which is God’s heavenly wisdom. We are to be fed with the Truth of God….the “feast.”

The “three days” signifies the resurrection of the Truth in this last day. The church has been “asleep” for a spiritually-discerned “three days.” We will find Him in the temple with understanding….teaching….going about the Father’s business. He will open up the Scriptures for our understanding….He will be teaching us in the “temple.”

(Luke 2:46 KJV) And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

The time is coming when we will understand His sayings…for He will speak to us with clarity…..he will show us “plainly of the Father.” Our literal understanding of the bible will disappear as he shows us God’s understanding in a spiritual discernment.

50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.

(John 16:25 KJV) These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.

How are we searching for Jesus in our churches today? Have we left the Truth behind and not known that we have? Let us go to the Feast of the bread of Truth….let us return to the Truth.

(Luke 2:42 KJV) And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.

As Jesus’ parents searched for him among their kinsfolk and acquaintances, so also do many search for him today with their own glory in mind…searching for him in the present “known” ways and thoughts of religious man…..receiving honor from each other…glorifying man’s understanding and ways. Many use His name and the Scriptures for making a name for themselves in this life. We need to seek His glory and honor. Are we supposing Him to be in our company when we seek our own glory?

44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.

Just as the religious people of 2000 years ago, we also search the Scriptures thinking we have our lives in them. We search them in vain…for our own glory. We build and teach things for the glory of men….to be honored one of another. Many seek the recognition and honor from their own “kinsfolk and acquaintances” and not from God. We seek the things of religious man and not the things of God.

(John 5:39 KJV) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

We are to come to Him so that we might have the true Life in Christ. We are to lose our lives that we have built for ourselves for own vain glory. We are to lose our religious works in order to have true Life in God.

40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
41 I receive not honour from men.
42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

How can we believe the revealed Truth if we live for receiving honor one of another? Many in the church seek the things of man and not the things of God. We are to seek the honor that comes from God ONLY.

44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

And continuing in Luke, when Jesus’ parents did not find him among themselves, they turned back again to Jerusalem seeking him:

Luke 2:45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.

We also are to turn back again to God’s wisdom to seek Him. “Jerusalem” is symbolic for the heavenly wisdom of God….the peace of God that comes when we turn back to Him for His counsel and understanding. When we return to God’s wisdom and cease from our own, we will find Him preaching the Truth of the Scriptures in the sacred place. Let us search the Scriptures with His Truth and Spirit and He will reveal the mysteries of the kingdom to us.

46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

Just as Jesus’ parents searched for him in “sorrowing,” many in the church have also fallen into many sorrows by their searching for their own vain, religious glory.

48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Many in the church have pierced themselves through with many “sorrows” by going after things of this world that are highly esteemed among men. The “thorns” have pierced themselves.

(1 Tim 6:10 KJV) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But those who are of God are to flee these things…to turn back to God…to return to “Jerusalem” to find His wisdom and righteousness. He speaks to us in the heavenly temple.

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

And when we do this, then the “sorrow and sighing” that comes with seeking our own vain glory shall flee away. Seeking the glory of the flesh brings strife, envy and hatred.

(Isa 35:10 KJV) And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Let us return and seek the Lord our God and the Lord Christ Jesus (“David” our king.) We are in the “latter days:”

(Hosea 3:5 KJV) Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

We are to “hear” the Word of the Lord….to hear it with understanding….something we haven’t had. We are living currently in a time of not having Truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in our “land.”

4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

The church is bogged down in sin……strife, envy, and hatred for each other. But we are to return to “Jerusalem”….for His Truth, mercy and knowledge. The sorrows shall depart in the presence of God.

2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

The writings of the “Old Testament” are still especially relevant to us TODAY. We are to be “mindful” of their words:

(2 Pet 3:2 KJV) That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

We are to seek the Lord….to call upon Him while He is near. Just like Jesus’ parents, we are only a “day’s journey” from “Jerusalem.” We are near to His Truth and mercy.

(Isa 55:6 KJV) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let us forsake our ways….our own religious thoughts and ways and return to Him. He will “abundantly pardon” for He is merciful:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

He will cause His Word to be opened up for our understanding so that we may know His will. It will rain and snow upon our dry hearts. It will rain understanding upon the Scriptures that have not been correctly understood in the dry, dusty desert of man’s mind.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Then we shall go out from the confusion of man’s understanding with joy and be led forth with peace.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

We shall not have the “thorn” as a teacher…as a ruler over us. False preachers will no longer have authority over us as we will know the Truth. There will no longer be those thorns and briers to pierce us with their sins. They have led the church astray after many hurtful things….. the “sorrows.”

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

When we turn back to Him, then can we discern between the righteous and the wicked…between him that serves God and him that does not serve Him.

(Mal 3:18 KJV) Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

We can then discern between the fir tree/myrtle and the thorn/brier…..to distinguish men who serve God from those that serve themselves (the thorns.) We shall go forth from the presence of wicked men in our churches….we shall be released from their prison of error like calves released from the stall. We shall be healed from our sins that evil men have promoted in the church.

(Mal 4:2 KJV) But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

When we have this distinction between the righteous and the wicked, we can then judge them with our Lord….we will “tread down the wicked:”

3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

We shall judge “angels”….those men who are “messengers” of error. We shall judge those men who pose as ministers of righteousness but are really of the spirit of error.

(1 Cor 6:3 KJV) Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

We have been living in a time when we have no knowledge of God, nor Truth. We can not see the false teachers from the true. There are many “false apostles and deceitful workers” in our churches today. Many, many Christians can not see this deception. But our God will enlighten our understanding with the opening up of the Scriptures…so that we may know the difference. The enemy is not on the outside….but right inside the church itself…a clever transformation to deceive the many.

(2 Cor 11:13 KJV) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

And this was not a hard thing to do….for we have all gone astray and can not see.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
16 I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
17 That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.

The common trait of the false teachers is that they glory after the flesh. They think grand ministries and magnificent church buildings are a sign of their godliness. They think worldly riches and success in their activities is an indication that God approves of their ways and thoughts. They are really seeking the glory of man and not God’s.

18 Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.
19 For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise.

We have suffered them gladly…thinking we are wise. We have let them into our assemblies and they have brought us into bondage and devoured us with their teachings and ways. They have exalted themselves in our churches….they have struck us on the face. And we have gladly let them. We think they are men of God but they are really wolves in sheep clothing…..devourers of the people of God who pose as ministers of righteousness.

20 For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.

Let us know the difference between the righteous and the wicked and escape for our lives. Let us return to Him…let us seek His face….His glory and righteousness.

great posting Wheeler ,

love the part about glorying in the flesh seems that what they judged , the flesh as well
Jhn 8:15Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

Jesus looks in the hearts and the intent and motives of everyone Mat 9:4And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? For whether is easier, to say, [Thy] sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
Mar 2:8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, [Thy] sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

for me it shows thier lack of faith

in Jesus or in God

the sin of Israel is idolartry/unfaithfulness and the sins of all the rest of the nations is blasphemy Jam 2:7Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? Psa 74:10O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

thanks for your continued posts

My Mom in Law is now on dialysis , hoping to clear out all the toxins that had built up

blessings to you and yours C ........

Peter’s release from prison by the angel of the Lord in Acts is a prophecy for today of the releasing of the church from its spiritual prison of darkness. Peter is likened to the church. Herod took Peter and put him in prison. Satan also has taken the church and put it into “prison.”

(Acts 12:3 KJV) And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

The “days of unleavened bread” signifies the early church who was of one mind….living in peace with one another. The church has been put into “prison” by Satan so that it may be tried. It has been sifted as wheat just as Peter.

(Rev 2:10 KJV) Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

And continuing in Acts, Peter was delivered to “four quaternions of soldiers” to keep him:

4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

The “four quaternions of soldiers” signifies the judgments of God….the “four winds of heaven”….the “four horses” of Revelation. They symbolize the confusion that rules over all….the confusion of the Scriptures. Those that have leaned upon their own wisdom of the bible have been kept in a prison where there is envy, strife, hatred. But there are those who pray for the church to be released.

5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Peter was sleeping between two soldiers….bound with two chains….and the keepers kept the prison.

6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

Just as Peter was asleep in prison, the church has also been “asleep” in its prison. The church has been asleep between the “two soldiers” of envy and strife. Christ has been preached in the church with envy and strife….as Paul noted…by those who supposed it would add to the affliction of his bonds…his “chains:”

(Phil 1:15 KJV) Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

The churches’ hands have been bound by every evil work where there is envy and strife. The works of our hands have kept us in bondage.

(James 3:16 KJV) For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

But the Lord comes with His knowledge which will shine in the darkness of the “prison” of the church….just as the angel of the Lord came with light to Peter’s prison. We shall be awakened as Peter was. We are to “arise up” …..and the chains of evil works will fall off our hands. Strife and envy will no longer keep us. We are to cast away our works of darkness.

Acts 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

Jesus was pierced in his side for us. Peter was also “smote” on the side….which signifies the blood and water of Christ that washes our sins away…there is mercy and forgiveness for His church. We are to arise like Peter was instructed and walk in the Light….to follow the Lord who has the keys of death and Hades…the prison. The blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse us from all sin.

(1 John 1:7 KJV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

God will command the Light to shine out of darkness….the Light will shine in our hearts. The Light is the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. The Light will shine into the prison.

(2 Cor 4:6 KJV) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

As the angel of the Lord told Peter, we are to “arise up” ….to “awake” from our sleep and Christ shall give us light. The church is asleep…in the darkness of a prison. The Lord Christ Jesus will give us the knowledge of God…the “light.”

(Eph 5:14 KJV) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

We are to “awake out of sleep” just as Peter. Our salvation is near….our deliverance from the prison is near.

(Rom 13:11 KJV) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

The Light is at hand…the day is at hand. And as the chains fell off from Peter’s hands, we are also to cast off the works of darkness. The chains signify the works of darkness that our hands have made….that are motivated by strife and envy within the church. The envy and strife are signified by the “two soldiers” that Peter slept between. Also, we are to put on the armor of light:

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

We are to put on the “armor of light” and walk honestly in the Truth with each other. Peter was also told to “gird” himself….and bind his sandals….cast his garment about him…and to follow the angel of the Lord. Today, the church is to awaken from its sleep, cast off the works of darkness, gird ourselves in the armor of light, walk in the Light of God, walk in newness of Life and follow the Lord who delivers us from the “prison” of darkness and sin.

Acts 12: 8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

In John 21, Jesus described to Peter the kind of death he would have that would glorify God. In a spiritual-likened manner, so also has the church experienced this “death.” When the church was “young,” it dressed itself and walked wherever it would…..in the “days of unleavened bread.” The young church was of one mind…living in peace with one another. But, when it got older, there arose false teachers who would not spare the flock….who would “gird” the church in false doctrines and lead it down the wide path of destruction….where it really did not want to go. The false teachers are the “prison keepers” who guard the door…they are the wide gate of destruction. They keep the church in strife and envy…in hatred of each other….in darkness….in chains….in sleep…in sin…by their teachings and ways.

(John 21:18 KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

We are to follow Him out of the prison….He will give us the Truth. He will reveal the Truth so that we may follow Him out. He will deliver us.

Acts 12:9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

The iron gate did open to Peter and the angel of the Lord….the “gates of hell” shall not prevail against the church. We are to go into the city….New Jerusalem….the heavenly wisdom of God where there is peace and every good thing of God. We will “pass through on one street”….the street in the spiritual city of New Jerusalem.

10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

And as the Lord said to “Cyrus” in Isaiah….which is symbolic of Christ Jesus….He will open the gates. God opens the gates for us so that we may walk in the straight places.

(Isa 45:1 KJV) Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

He will break in pieces the gates of brass and cut in asunder the bars of iron. The gates of hell will not prevail against the Lord’s church. He will go before us and make the crooked places straight…..the straight street. He will interpret the bible for us so that we may make straight paths for Him.

2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

He will give us the treasures of darkness….the hidden riches of secret places so that we may know the God of Israel. He will reveal to us the hidden knowledge of Him in the opening up of the Scriptures. The knowledge has been hidden by the literal, outward understanding of the letter of the Word.

3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

We are to “arise” and go into the street which is called “Straight.”

(Acts 9:11 KJV) And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

The Lord will deliver us out of the hand of Satan and his ministers that pose as ministers of righteousness….just as the angel of the Lord delivered Peter out of the hand of Herod.

Acts 12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

The messengers of the Lord are to instruct those who oppose themselves…..hoping that God will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the revealed Truth….the Light.

(2 Tim 2:25 KJV) In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

So that they may be delivered out of the prison…to recover themselves out of the snare of the devil who has taken them captive….who has made them prisoners in chains…in the darkness.

26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

The healing of the man at the pool with the five porches is a prophecy that shows the healing of the Jews at the end of this age by Christ Jesus.

(John 5:1 KJV) After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

The Lord will graft back the Jews back in…He shall heal them. The Lord God will have mercy upon them….hence, the name of the pool “Bethesda” which means “house of mercy.” Their present condition is symbolically portrayed by the “great multitude” of the blind, halt, withered people lying at the pool with five porches. The “five porches” represents the five books of Moses. 2000 years ago, they did not listen to Moses who testified of Jesus and so suffered the judgment of God as spoken by Moses. The Law of Moses is established like the five porches.

2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

As Moses said to them, God would raise up a prophet like him and that they should listen to him. But, the leaders did not listen to Jesus and so did not listen to Moses.

(Acts 7:37 KJV) This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

Again, the “five porches” represents the writings of Moses that would accuse or judge those of the Jews would not believe Jesus nor the words of Moses.

(John 5:45 KJV) Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

They have been waiting for the “moving of the water.” They have been in “exile.” They have been waiting for their Messiah to teach them the Way of righteousness….to interpret the Law…the Torah. God had raised up Christ Jesus….their brother…a prophet like Moses…..for them to hear. But many did not hear 2000 years ago.

An angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water:

John 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

The “angel” or messenger was John the Baptist who came preaching repentance to the Jews….he “troubled the water”….he preached in the wilderness and baptized those who heard him in the Jordan. He bore witness to the true Light for a “season:”

(John 5:35 KJV) He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

John the Baptist was the “Messenger” = “aggelos” = “angel.” He was the angel that was sent from God to preach repentance to the Jews….to “trouble the water.”

(Mat 11:10 KJV) For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

At this pool, there was a “certain man” who had an infirmity for “38 years.” All of the seemingly small details in the bible are full of hidden meanings.

John 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

The “38 years” refers to the time that the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness from Kadeshbarnea until they crossed over the brook Zered. During that time, all the generation of the “men of war” were completely consumed and died from among the people.

(Deu 2:14 KJV) And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them.
15 For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
16 So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,

“Kadeshbarnea” means “desert of a fugitive” and “Zered” means “to be exuberant in growth.” Kadeshbarnea spiritually refers to the Jews’ house being left desolate for the last 2000 years…being judged. Crossing over the brook Zered spiritually refers to the changing of the condition of the Jews from their desolation to a condition of growth in the Lord. It will be their “life from the dead” when God will show His mercy to them….His receiving of them again. They are to be grafted in to the tree when God’s appointed time arrives.

(Rom 11:15 KJV) For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

When all the men of war are consumed from among the people refers to the time when the people will be ready to be healed. They will not fight against the words of God.

Luke 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

And as the sick man stated, “another” had stepped down into the pool before him.

7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

Indeed another did step down before the Jewish leaders, it was the “sinners” of the people….the “publicans and the harlots” that went into the kingdom of God before the “righteous” did.

(Mat 21:31 KJV) Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

John the Baptist was the “angel” that stirred the “water”….he preached to the Jews and it was the “publicans and the harlots” that believed him and repented. They entered into the kingdom before those who considered themselves righteous did.

32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

And because the sinners of the people believed and were baptized of John in repentance, they were able to receive the words of Jesus…they were able to enter into the kingdom. They justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John:

(Luke 7:29 KJV) And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

But the religious leaders of the day, the Pharisees and lawyers, rejected the counsel of God against themselves. They did not believe John nor did they believe Christ. They opposed the Truth.

30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

And the religious leaders took the key of knowledge away for others. Not only did they not enter in to the kingdom but they also prevented others from believing and receiving the words of Christ. Are we going to see a repeat of this in the Christian church in this last day??

(Luke 11:52 KJV) Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

It was the “publicans and sinners” who came and sat down to eat with him and his disciples. They were the first believers of the Truth….the true supper….they entered into the kingdom of God before the “righteous.”

(Mat 9:10 KJV) And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

For “blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.” It was the “sinners” who were able to enter in before the Pharisees and lawyers.

(Luke 14:15 KJV) And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

For the Lord invited them to the “great supper” and they refused. It was John the Baptist who was the servant who cried out in the wilderness. He was the servant sent to prepare the Way.

16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:
17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

But the religious leaders with one consent began to make excuse…. “they bought a piece of ground”….. “they bought five oxen.” “Five oxen” is symbolic for the Law of Moses. In other words, they clung on to the old ways of religious man. They were married to them. They were married to their traditions and commandments of men. They were in bondage to them and they did not release those underneath them….they took away the key of knowledge….Christ Jesus.

18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

They sat in Moses’ seat…. “the five yoke of oxen”….yet they did not keep the Law but bound those underneath them with heavy, grievous burdens…..the five yoke of oxen….commandments and traditions of man.

(Mat 23:2 KJV) Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

They were invited to the great supper of the Lord but instead rejected it for their traditions and commandments of men. They did not hear John the Baptist nor Jesus….so the “poor and the maimed and the halt and the blind” were brought into the kingdom of God before those who were originally invited. The publicans and the harlots went in before the Pharisees and the lawyers and those who listened to them.

Luke 14:21 So that servant came, and showed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

The “poor, maimed, halt, and the blind” = the “sinners, publicans and harlots” of the day.
Yet, there was room even after the sinners among the Jews were brought in.

22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.

So the Lord instructed the servant to go out “into the highways and hedges” and compel them to come in…..this is a reference to the gentiles entering into the kingdom of God. None of those “men of war” would enter in but would be left in “exile”…their house being left desolate…..wandering as a fugitive in the desert.

23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

It was the fall of them that were to be the riches of the world….the “highways and hedges”….the gentiles also entered in to the kingdom before the Pharisees and lawyers and those who would follow them. Paul was the “servant” to the Lord who compelled the gentiles to come in.

(Rom 11:12 KJV) Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

And to continue with the diseased man at the pool which is a prophecy of the healing of the Jews. We see Jesus will say for them to “rise, take up thy bed and walk”…..they shall be healed of their condition…and will walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. They will have been more than ready to be healed. We shall be one people with them….with one shepherd.

8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

There is going to be a repeat scenario in this last day for the Christian church.

There will be a call to the Christian church at the end of this age…to come to the “great supper.” Many will be invited to the “marriage supper” of the Lamb…the True sayings of God. The Scriptures will be opened up to our understanding so that we may know His sayings. Let us believe in His revealed Word….His interpretation of the bible….His sayings. The “marriage supper of the Lamb” = “the true sayings of God.”

(Rev 19:9 KJV) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Let us not behave with high minded arrogance as did the Pharisees and lawyers when we also hear the Truth . Let us believe in the revealed Truth when it comes. Let us fear…..lest He not spare us also as the unbelieving Jews of 2000 years ago.

(Rom 11:20 KJV) Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

If we do not believe the word of Truth when He arrives, we shall be cut off also in this last day. There is going to be a repeat.

22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

The Father of lights of His own will engraft the Word of Truth into us….let us humbly accept His Truth.

(James 1:17 KJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

We are invited to the supper of the Lamb…..the supper of the Word of Truth. We are to be His first fruits.

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

So let us be “swift to hear” and slow to wrath against what we hear. The revealed Truth will not be like our current understanding of the Bible. It will be much different than all of our present thoughts of what we think it should be.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

We are to receive the Word of Truth with humbleness and also do the Truth which is able to save our souls.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

Let us confess our sins…..let us do His commandments so that we may enter in through the gates into the heavenly city of New Jerusalem….the knowledge, wisdom and peace of God. Let us believe and enter into His joy.

(Rev 22:14 KJV) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

For without will be the unbelievers among His people….those who will have rejected His invitation for their current religious thoughts and ways….traditions and commandments of men. The Pharisees and lawyers did not enter in because of unbelief. So also will there be the religious in the Christian church who will not enter in because of their own unbelief in the revealed Truth. Let us believe and do His Truth when we hear it. Let us enter in through the gates of the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Let us confess our sins….that we have erred from the Truth. We have missed the mark of the Truth completely. No church denomination has been correct! We have all been wrong. Our Lord comes to call those who can admit they are sinners to repentance. Those who are safe and secure in their own righteousness will not listen to His call.

(Mat 9:12 KJV) But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. Our forms of worship have been in error. But if we confess them, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins.

(1 John 1:8 KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Many religious men in the last 2000 years have worshipped God in ignorance. We have been like the men of “Athens”….which is an allusion to the wisdom of man…who uses his own understanding of the Bible to do his religious works. “Athena” is the goddess of wisdom in Greek mythology. Many in the Christian church pursue earthly things in their own biblical wisdom. The Jews sought after a sign….and “Greeks”….which is veiled reference to the Gentile church….seek after their own religious wisdom. Paul did not just preach this to the “men of Athens” of 2000 years ago, but he is speaking specifically to the “men of Athens” of today in the “Gentile” church. Let us take heed.

(Acts 17:22 KJV) Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

“Superstitious” = “more religious than others.” Although many think of themselves as more religious than others, they ignorantly worship.

23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

This message is for us Gentiles today. God is not worshipped with men’s hands. He is not the product of the works of our religious hands. God is not our church buildings, He is not our denominations, He is not our ministries, He is not our collection plates, He is not in our works that we do to make a name for ourselves in this life, He is not our riches…our “gold and silver.”

25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

We are the “offspring of God”…..and He is not like unto our works of “gold, silver, stone or graven art and man’s device.” We did not make Him but we are His offspring. He is not our Christian books, our music, our movies, our products that we sell to the people of God. He is not who we make Him to be with our own hands…in our own wisdom.

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

We have been living in ignorance…..but NOW commands all men EVERYWHERE to repent:

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

We have been the “foolish nation”….not knowing what we worship. We ignorantly worship Him.

(Rom 10:19 KJV) But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

But the Lord knows our “infirmities”….he was tempted like we are but is WITHOUT sin. We have been WITH sin.

(Heb 4:15 KJV) For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
5:1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

He will have mercy on the “ignorant”….the Gentile church and on them that “are out of the way”….the Jews.

2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.

So, let us heed His invitation to come into the supper of the Lamb…to take of the water of life freely. Let us cease from our own wisdom and enter into His wisdom.

(Rev 22:17 KJV) And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

If we do not believe and refuse His invitation for the earthly-minded, religious things of this life, then we will not be able to enter in but will be cast out into the outer darkness. The Pharisees were not able to enter in. We shall also be cut off …..not spared as the Pharisees and lawyers of 2000 years ago. When there will be this arrogant refusal of the revealed Truth, then we will have witnessed the “falling away”…the revealing of the man of sin who opposes the Truth.
(2 Th 2:3 KJV) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The “man of sin” is not one man but many. They will be religious men who will not humbly accept the revealed Word of Truth in themselves and be saved. They will be like the Pharisees of yesterday and will exalt themselves and oppose the Word of God as spoken by Christ Jesus and not man. They will be like the Pharisees who sit in the “seat of Moses.” They will sit in the temple of God….they will oppose the wisdom of God with their own wisdom. They will rely on their own interpretation of the Scriptures in the face of the revealed true interpretation of God.

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

They will have rejected their own mercy. They will not be able to enter into the city. This will be the “fullness of the Gentiles”……the sin will have reached its limit. The fullness of the Gentiles = the fullness of sin. The “man of sin” will be revealed…in his fullness by his opposition to the full, revealed Truth of God.

(Rom 11:25 KJV) For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

In Genesis, God prophesied to Abram that Israel in the flesh would be grafted in again when the “iniquity of the Amorites” is full. The fullness of the Gentiles = the “iniquity of the Amorites.”

(Gen 15:16 KJV) But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

This is speaking especially of this “latter time” when Israel of the flesh will be received by God again. “Amorite” means “in the sense of publicity, prominence”….in other words, the “man of sin” in the Gentile church reveals himself with his exaltation and vocal opposition to the revealed Truth. Then sin has reached its limit. When this point is reached, then the invitation will be open to the Jews who are spiritually represented by the “great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered…”

(John 5:2 KJV) Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

The Jews will then be grafted in….received into the kingdom of God. They will enter into the city through the gates. They will be healed of their infirmities. None of those gentiles (the man of sin) who refuse the true sayings of God will be able to enter in to the city.

(Luke 14:21 KJV) So that servant came, and showed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

He will gather OUT of His kingdom all things that offend and them that do iniquity:

(Mat 13:41 KJV) The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

As Paul stated in Romans, tribulation and anguish has been upon those of the Jews who had contention with the Truth of God and did not obey it. They were the FIRST to suffer the wrath of God….they have suffered His judgment. The contentious, unbelieving Gentile in the church will also suffer His wrath in this last day as the Truth will be finally revealed for us to understand. There will be those modern-day Pharisees and scribes in the church who will also rise up and contend with the wisdom of God just as they did 2000 years ago.

(Rom 2:8 KJV) But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

They shall aggressively argue against the revealed Truth……and not “obey” the Truth. The Greek word for “obey” is “apeitheo” which means “to disbelieve willfully and perversely”…..they shall not obey the Truth….they shall disbelieve it willfully. Instead of obeying the Truth, they will “obey” unrighteousness. There is a different Greek word for “obey” here which means “to convince, have confidence.” They shall have confidence in their own unrighteous ways and thoughts. Tribulation and anguish has been to the Jew “first” and then the Gentile…..2000 years later in the near future.

2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

This willful disbelief correlates with Hebrews 10:26. If we sin WILLFULLY after we have received the FULL knowledge (Greek word “epignosis”) of the Truth, there will be judgment and fiery indignation. The church has been living in ignorance of the Truth for the last 2000 years. Our past sins have been forgiven because of this ignorance. God has not given His full knowledge of the Truth yet…..but it could be getting very near.

(Heb 10:26 KJV) For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

As Jesus pointed out to the Pharisees of yesterday, they would have no sin if they had not understood. But once they heard the words of Jesus and understood, their sin remained upon them because they did not believe him.

(John 9:41 KJV) Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

The blood of Christ Jesus has forgiven all of those of the church who have sinned in ignorance. The church has been living in ignorance of God’s things for the last 2000 years…..the past sins of the church have been forgiven….because they knew not what they did….and still don’t. As it says in the Law….the “instruction”….about the atonement for sins done in ignorance….Christ Jesus is the Priest who makes the atonement for sins done in ignorance:

(Num 15:25 KJV) And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:
26 And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.
27 And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.
28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

But the soul that does sin “presumptuously,” shall be cut off….and his sin shall be upon him. Willful sin….

(Num 15:30 KJV) But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
31 Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

The Spirit of Truth comes to reveal His knowledge so that we may know our sins and to become cleansed and made whole….spotless and without blame before Him. All past sins of the church have been forgiven because they did not know better…they did those things in ignorance.

(Mark 3:28 KJV) Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

But he who shall contradict and resist the Spirit of Truth who comes with the revealed Truth of God, shall not be forgiven…his sins will be upon his own head.

29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Again, there will be no more sacrifice for sins for the person who does such against the Spirit…..AFTER he has received the full knowledge:
(Heb 10:26 KJV) For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Again, let us not count the blood of the covenant as an unclean thing. Let us receive the love of the Truth and be saved.

(Heb 10:29 KJV) Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Jesus Christ comes again to his church with the revealed Truth….the “revelation of Jesus Christ.” We are to believe and obey His words. We are to not “fashion” ourselves to the “former lusts in our ignorance.” The church has been living in ignorance in the last 2000 years, but the Lord comes to speak to us His Truth and we are to be “obedient children.” We are to depart from the former ways and thoughts of religious men and enter into His wisdom and Truth. He comes in the Spirit of Grace…..He is merciful to us.

(1 Pet 1:13 KJV) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Again, the “former lusts in our ignorance” refers to the way religion has been in the last 2000 years. Those who have lived in ignorance have been forgiven by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. But He will call us out of ignorance into His Light of knowledge and we are to obey His will. We are to be holy as He is holy. We are to love one another in the Truth….for God is love.

14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

We are to be redeemed from the vain behavior of the traditions we have received from our church fathers. The church fathers had lived in error….and have passed down their errors to the children of the church. Their thoughts and ways have been a result of not understanding the Scriptures fully. We are not redeemed by our own church works based on erroneous teachings.

(1 Pet 1:18 KJV) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

But at the revelation of Jesus Christ who is the Truth and Wisdom of God, we can then be cleansed from every blemish and spot that has stained us in our ignorance of times past. He will give us the knowledge….the full knowledge….so that we may be made into a pure church in Christ.

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

He is to be “manifest” in these last times for us. He shall teach us Truth….He is the Truth.

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Hi Chickapee,

Just wanted to say that your posts are a great encouragement to me….I sincerely say that.

Of course it is alright to email any one you want to! I feel honored that you feel it worthy enough to share with others. Of course, I give God the glory and praise for that. I pray to God that we can all one day come to His full understanding.

One of the biggest fears I have is coming across as a know-it-all. Sometimes when I read back some of the posts I wrote, I can see why one might tune me out for sounding like I know everything. I probably would even tune myself out. I certainly don’t know everything and my writing skill to convey things in a more thoughtful, less "preachy" way is minimal at best.

I feel God is opening our hearts though to His thoughts…His knowledge….and I feel a great excitement for it to share some of those things….and disappointment when there aren’t others who even want to bother to ponder those things. I find encouragement in you though…..encouragement to continue. Thank you for that! I take comfort in knowing there are others out there who are awakening up to His Truth....who think like we do....by God's mercy.

I just hope everything works out for you and your family….I know it must be draining to say the least. I’m glad to hear your mom-in-law is improving. I know that the weather is not helping things. My mom calls me to tell me how brutal it is. The pipes in her house keep freezing up and the car doors freeze shut…..yikes! I can't imagine traveling everyday for hours in it. I live in south Fl….and yet it has been consistently chilly even here. We haven’t had a “winter” like this in 20 years or so….so I can imagine how it must feel up north.

Hi Chickapee, I'm glad to hear your mom-in-law could be going home finally. Praise God for that!

A "brief" (ha ha) study of parts of Ephesians....

As Paul states in Ephesians, the Jews and the Gentiles are to become “ONE new man” in Christ Jesus. We have yet to see this….but we are to look forward to this. Ephesians makes it clear that the Jews and Gentiles are to be one within Christ…..there will be peace between us through His peace and knowledge. Ephesians, no doubt, was written to the church in Ephesus 2000 years ago. It was written to a “type” church which was a representation of a much greater heavenly reality…a heavenly church yet to be. It was written especially to a future church….ekklesia….that has yet to be……to a called-out people who are of one mind in Christ…. both Jew and Gentile are to be made into one “new man.” We have YET to see this “new man”….because we are still children tossed about by every wind of doctrine of man. But, He will make “both” ONE…both Jew and Gentile.

(Eph 2:14 KJV) For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Christ Jesus comes to preach to us the revealed Truth which will “abolish” the enmity….hostility….between us. It is the “law of commandments” contained in “ordinances” that is “slain.” The Greek word for “ordinances” is “dogma”…..it is the commandments and doctrines of men (dogmas) based on his fleshly interpretation of the Bible that will be done away with by the SPIRITUAL knowledge of the Bible. The literal, earthly-based commandments, doctrines, and traditions of both Jew and Gentile will be done away with…..leaving something entirely new….a spiritually perfect man….a heavenly man in Christ Jesus. A “man” who has put away childish things….being no longer tossed about by the fleshly teachings of men.

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

As it shows us in Colossians, the “ordinances”… “dogmatizo”… are the commandments and doctrines of men. The doctrines of men keep us as children…..as “carnal”…in divisions.

(Col2:20 KJV) Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

The “rudiments of the world” = the traditions of men…..the biblical teachings based on man’s literal, fleshly understanding of the Scriptures. Traditions and teachings of fleshly man divide the church…and divide Jew and Gentile…keeping the partition up between the two.

(Col 2:8 KJV) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Continuing in Ephesians 2, it is Christ that comes to preach peace to us….both Jew and Gentile….so that through him we both (Jew and Gentile) have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

We, the Jews and Gentiles, are to be built TOGETHER for a habitation of God through the Spirit. We shall then be COMPLETE as a body of Christ with the mind of Christ….who is the head.

(Eph 2:22 KJV) In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

The Lord will give us people who are divinely appointed to help build this habitation of God through the Spirit. Not many of these will be the “hirelings” of today….the bible school phd’s….the “wise” in this world. But it will be those who are deemed “unlearned and ignorant” people just as John and Peter were considered by the religious elite of the day.

(Acts 4:13 KJV) Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

(Eph 4:11 KJV) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Their job will be for the “perfecting of the saints”…..for the “edifying” or building of the body of Christ which will consist of Jew and Gentile.

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

The Jews and Gentiles will come together in the UNITY of the faith and of the KNOWLEDGE (epignosis) of the Son of God….unto a “perfect man:”

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

We shall be no longer be “children” but the sons of God.

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

We shall speak the revealed Truth in love….and grow up into Him in all things….the whole body will then be complete into the head ….Christ.

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Again, we….both Jews and Gentiles….shall be raised up TOGETHER and made to sit TOGETHER in “heavenly places” in Christ Jesus….who is the “head” of the body….head of the called-out…. “church.”

(Eph 2:6 KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Where “two or three are gathered together” in his name, there is “I am” in the midst of them…..God will be with us.

(Mat 18:20 KJV) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

The Jews and Gentiles will be gathered together in a “new man” by His Spirit of Truth which will preach to us the peace of God and will abolish the hostility between the two groups by getting rid of all of man’s literal understanding and teachings of the Bible. It is through God’s interpretation of the Scriptures that we will all have peace with each other. In this “new man,” the Lord will use us to gather together in one ALL things in Christ:

(Eph 1:10 KJV) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

This “new man” will be created in God’s righteousness and TRUE holiness….not by how the old man of religion teaches us what is righteous and holy.

(Eph 4:24 KJV) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

This “new man” will not look like the old man of old-time religious man. He will not look like the present old man of the Christian church nor will he look like the present old man’s face of Judaism….but he will look like Christ Jesus….the express image of God….he will be living in true holiness and peace.

(1 John 3:2 KJV) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

In this “new man,” there will be no distinction between Jew and Gentile….bond or free….male nor female….but we (Jew and Gentile) will be ONE in Christ Jesus. This hasn’t happened yet.

(Gal 3:28 KJV) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

We both, Jews and Gentiles, have been as “children” tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by men’s fleshly, deceptive mind. We have been in bondage to men’s traditions, doctrines and commandments. We have been scattered….and not ONE in Christ Jesus.

(Eph 4:14 KJV) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

We, both Jews and Gentiles, are “dead in trespasses and sins”….. and are walking according to the age of this world….according to men’s lusts in our religious worlds…..following after men’s doctrines and commandments whose knowledge of the Bible is his own. But He will quicken us…..TOGETHER in Christ. Both Jews and the Gentile church shall be saved together from the lusts of men who want to keep us in their prisons….bondage to their lusts…..to their commandments and traditions.

(Eph 2:1 KJV) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

It is only by His mercy that we are saved from men’s fleshly doctrines and traditions. It will be nothing we have done…for all are under sin….all have missed the mark of the Truth.

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

We, the Christian church, have not been better than the Jews….for ALL are under sin. We have ALL missed the mark of the Truth:

(Rom 3:9 KJV) What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

We have ALL gone out of the way….they are TOGETHER have become unprofitable.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

To be continued…..

The Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him calls us together into ONE body. We do not see this YET….but it may soon come to pass. We are to be called together to do the works of God as opposed to the works of man that we have all been involved with in the last 2000 years.

(Eph 1:17 KJV) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

We are called together (Jews and Gentiles) into ONE body and ONE Spirit…..the Spirit of Wisdom…..for a purpose in this earth….for God’s purpose…His will and not man’s.
(Eph 4:4 KJV) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

We are called together in ONE body as witnesses of Christ …… by the ONE Spirit…the Spirit of Wisdom. Where two (Jews and Gentiles) or three (the Spirit of Christ gathers us in His love) witnesses gather together, there is “I AM” in the midst of us. “Midst” = “middle.”

(Mat 18:20 KJV) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
The peace of God will be in the “midst” of us and not the separating “middle” partition of men’s dogmas….doctrines, traditions and commandments. He is our peace….and will make the two witnesses (Jews and Gentiles) as ONE with the Spirit of God in the “middle” keeping us as ONE in Him. Where two or three gather together, there is “I AM” in the middle of us.

(Eph 2:14 KJV) For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; the middle wall of partition between us;

There is a purpose for us in Him…..there is a “fellowship of the mystery.” Not the “fellowship of the ring,” but a fellowship for God’s purpose in this earth….to display His glory to ALL men…to make ALL men see the KNOWLEDGE and Wisdom of God in this ONE body…the church…or “called”-out.

(Eph 3:9 KJV) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The “mystery of His will” is to gather together in ONE ALL THINGS in heaven and which are on earth. We, His called…His elect, are used to participate in this heavenly work of God. We shall display the Wisdom of God in His glory upon the earth.

(Eph 1:9 KJV) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

We are to participate with the work of subduing ALL things to Him….so that God may be ALL IN ALL:

(1 Cor 15:28 KJV) And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

As the perfect “new man” in Christ, we are to be fruitful and multiply with His Word and “replenish” the earth. To fill it with His knowledge….we are to SUBDUE it so that God may be ALL IN ALL.

(Gen 1:28 KJV) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

We are to participate in “replenishing the earth”….to fill the earth with His KNOWLEDGE of the glory of the Lord. His knowledge will fill the earth and man’s knowledge will disappear. There will be peace. Man’s knowledge results in sin and war.

(Hab 2:14 KJV) For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

(Isa 11:9 KJV) They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

In order to subdue the earth, we will wrestle against the spiritual wickedness in high places….against men who will resist the Truth…..against the “rulers of the darkness of this world.” The Spirit of Truth against the spirit of error.

(Eph 6:11 KJV) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We are to “earnestly contend for the faith:”

(Jude 1:3 KJV) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

To contend against “certain men” who have crept in unawares….the tares that were sown while men “slept.” They will “DENY” (which means to “contradict”) the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. They will “contradict” the Spirit of Truth with the spirit of error. They will speak evil of the Way of Truth and convince others to follow their pernicious ways in the face of the revealed Truth of God. The “ungodly men” among us are the “rulers of the darkness of this world”….spiritual wickedness in high places. Their father is Satan and they do what they see him do. They are his ministers…posing as ministers of righteousness.

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

(2 Pet 2:2 KJV) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

We shall judge these “angels” of Satan.....who speak through the spirit of error:

(1 Cor 6:3 KJV) Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Continuing in Ephesians....“Ephesus” means “first, desirable” and was a city in “Asia.” Most have known Ephesus only in the literal sense as a historical city in Asia written about in the New Testament. But, it goes way beyond the literalness of yesterday into the spiritual reality of today. Today, “Ephesus” refers to those “first” to believe in the Wisdom of God in the “Asia” of the Truth. “Asia” means “east, sunrise, resurrection”…..we are the churches in “Asia”….in the resurrection…the standing up of the spiritual Truth of God. God’s Wisdom is the “first thing” we are to get.

(Prov 4:7 KJV) Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

The message of Ephesians is to the very first people who BELIEVE…trust…what Jesus will reveal to us about what the Bible is really saying as opposed to our preconceived, religious theologies that we desperately hang on to in our denominations . We are to be the FIRST people (both Jews and Gentiles) to believe in this Truth that God will reveal to us in His Son. “Ephesus” means “first”…..and the “Ephesians” is a spiritual reference to those people of God who will FIRST UNDERSTAND and believe and love the Truth when they hear it….who get Wisdom.

(Eph 1:12 KJV) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Christ will reveal to us the Word of Truth in contrast to our present belief of the word of earthly men who rely on their own “wisdom” of the Bible. Our Lord will show us what is noted in the Scripture of Truth. The “Ephesians” are the first to believe AFTER we “hear” or understand the Word of TRUTH.

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Of His own will, He will “beget” us with the Word of Truth. We shall be a kind of “first fruits”…… the “Ephesians” = first….who first believe in the Word of Truth that Christ Jesus will preach to us in this last day.

(James 1:18 KJV) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

In the near future, both Jews and “Greeks” (which is a veiled reference to the “Gentiles,)” will believe the preaching of the Truth of Christ Jesus…who will open up the Scriptures to our understanding. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom….and we see in Acts 19 ……at “Ephesus”…..a spiritual picture emerges. Both the fearing Jews and Gentiles will magnify the name of the Lord Jesus….. his name means “God saves” us. “Fear fell on them ALL”…..all the Jews and Gentiles who will believe. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom in this last day.

(Acts 19:17 KJV) And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

We, those who first believe after hearing the teaching of Christ, are to confess our sins and He will forgive us. We are to show our deeds to Him….who will forgive us.

18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and showed their deeds.

We, both Jews and Gentiles, will “burn” all our previous religious thoughts and ways before all men. That is our sacrifice. We will get rid of all those things we did in our ignorance of the Truth…..all the “curious arts”….

19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

In our religious lives, we have been living as children…..being tossed and carried about with every wind of doctrine….by those men of the “curious arts”….who with craftiness have deceived us.

(Eph 4:14 KJV) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

We are to not walk any longer in the ways of these men who have led the church astray after the “curious arts” ….we are to no longer walk as other Gentiles walk…..those other Gentiles in the church. We are to “burn” their books…their doctrines and traditions…their commandments of men. We are to confess the Lord before other men. When we hear and understand the Truth, we are to HENCEFORTH no longer walk as we once did in ignorance….as carnal children in the church.

(Eph 4:17 KJV) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

There will be those in the church who will not believe in the revealed Truth when it comes. They will be “alienated’ from the Life of God.

18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;

We are to hear him…..who will teach us the Truth….the Word of Truth….the Scripture of Truth. The Truth is in Jesus…..he is the Truth, the Way and the Life. His words are SPIRIT….as opposed to man’s words that are flesh. Man’s religious teaching is in his literal understanding of the Bible and can not save himself.

21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

We are to put off the FORMER behavior of the “old man” of religion…which is CORRUPT. We are to “burn” the books of the “curious arts.”

22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

We are to “mortify” our members which are upon the earth…..to deaden the works of the flesh…..the works of the church done in the earthly understanding of man are of the flesh. Many of the works of the church (which is presently done in ignorance) are done for the vain glory of men….works of flesh.

to be continued....

Jhn 5:24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word,

and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life,

and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is,

when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God:

and they that hear shall live.

For as the Father hath life in himself;

so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

And hath given him authority to execute judgment also,

because he is the Son of man.

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming,

in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

And shall come forth; they that have done good,

unto the resurrection of life;

and they that have done evil,

unto the resurrection of damnation.

I can of mine own self do nothing:

as I hear, I judge:

and my judgment is just;

because I seek not mine own will,

but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

this Chapter has encouraged more than words can say at this time ....

the new Life within would be Christs Spirit and the Fathers Spirit dwelling within us .... Spirit of Life , we become His ...

Blessings C .

Hi Chickapee! All is well! I may disappear time to time....but I won't completely disappear without telling you first. "Wheeler" is really my name....my last name. I couldn't think of any other "name" to use so I just stuck with the last name. I know.... it's lacking originality. Maybe my ancestors made wheels as their occupation...or maybe they drove wagons across England way back then...don't know. lol.

As the children of Israel wandered in the desert, they grew tired of the manna that was given to them by God for food. “Manna” means “why?”….so they asked why? did they come out of Egypt. Moses felt the burden of all the people upon himself.

(Num 11:11 KJV) And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?

It was too heavy for him to bear….he couldn’t do it alone…as Moses stated:

(Num 11:14 KJV) I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.
15 And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.

And so the solution was given by God….to gather unto Him seventy men of the elders of Israel…..and bring them into the tabernacle of the congregation that they may stand there with Moses.

16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee.

This foreshadowed and signified the giving of the Writings of Prophets in the Scriptures to stand “there” with the five books of Moses. They were made part of the “tabernacle of the congregation” …they were to be made part of the Scriptures. Not only did the 70 elders share the burden of the people in the desert so many thousands of years ago, but the Writings of the Prophets collectively were given by God to support the Writings of Moses. They “stand” there with Moses….in the Scriptures. God took of the Spirit that was upon Moses and put it upon them (the Prophets) also. They share the burden of Moses….his writings. The Lord came down and talked….the Word of the Lord.

17 And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.

He “talked” = the “Word” of the Lord. The Word of the Lord came to all of the Prophets. Some examples:

The Word of the Lord came and spoke unto Jeremiah….who repeated what was said. Jeremiah through the Spirit shared the burden with the writings of Moses….by the Word of the Lord.

(Jer 1:4 KJV) Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

The Word of the Lord came unto Ezekiel…..He “talked” with him.

(Ezek 3:16 KJV) And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

The Spirit entered into the prophet Ezekiel……the Spirit was taken of Moses and was put upon the Prophets who would write the books of the Prophets in order to support the Writings of Moses. When the Word of God comes to speak…..the Spirit enters in as it happened to Ezekiel:

(Ezek 2:2 KJV) And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

The Word of the Lord came unto Hosea….as He did to all of the Prophets….as promised to Moses…in order to help with the burden of the people….to support the Writings of Moses. The people needed to know the “why” of the Law….and the Prophets answered it for the people. They voice the judgments of God so that men can understand why we must listen to God.

(Hosea 1:1 KJV) The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

The Word of the Lord came to Joel:

(Joel 1:1 KJV) The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

The Writings of the Prophets are part of the “tabernacle of the congregation”…..which is really saying the Scriptures. They “stand” with Moses in order to share in the bearing of the burden. The burden was shared by Habakkuk as well as all of the Writings of the Prophets.

(Hab 1:1 KJV) The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.

This “burden” was shared by Malachi….the burden of the Word of the Lord:

(Mal 1:1 KJV) The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.

The “burden” was shared by Isaiah…his burden was to speak the judgments of God which he saw. All of the writings of the Prophets share the “burden” with the writings of Moses.

(Isa 13:1 KJV) The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

And going back to Numbers, we see that the seventy men of the elders were “set around about the tabernacle.” This signifies that the Writings of the Prophets have the Writings of Moses (the tabernacle) at their center…..their writings all point back to the writings of Moses. They answer the question of WHY….they give the answer to why the Law is followed. Yes, today, the Law is fulfilled by loving God with all our hearts, minds and soul…and to love each other as our selves. But there are consequences for not following this (loving each other)….and the Prophets spell it out for us. They fill in the details of the WHY question of the writings of Moses.

(Num 11:24 KJV) And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.

The “tabernacle” is the “tent” of meeting.

Moses and the prophets are the witnesses of Christ Jesus…they wrote of him. They are the “cloud” that the Lord comes upon…the “cloud of witnesses.” The Lord came down in a cloud and spoke to Moses and took of the Spirit that was upon him and gave it to the seventy elders….and they PROPHESIED and did not cease. The writings of the Prophets continue to prophesy today….they “stand” with Moses and share the burden. They answer the question of WHY we must love God and love each other. They give the judgments of God…..they cease not to prophesy.

25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

As we see, there were two of the men not with them….they were in the camp….and the Spirit rested upon them also…..they were of them that were written.

26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.

“They were of them that were written” = Moses and the Prophets WROTE OF Christ Jesus. “Eldad” and “Medad” are symbolic of Christ Jesus.

(John 5:46 KJV) For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Moses and the Prophets wrote of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(John 1:45 KJV) Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

“Eldad” means “God has loved”…..God loves His only begotten Son. “Eldad” represents Christ who prophesied in the “camp”….in the New Testament. Moses and the Prophets wrote of him…they are the witnesses.

(Mark 1:11 KJV) And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

“Medad” means “loving”…which I am thinking….represents the apostles who also received the Spirit of God and wrote the New Testament…..they prophesied. Perhaps “Medad” could represent the end-time revelation of Christ Jesus.

27 And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.

Joshua tried to prevent them from prophesying by appealing to Moses.

28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.

Joshua was envious of them for Moses’ sake.

29 And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD'S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!

The Pharisees were also envious of Jesus.

(John 12:19 KJV) The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

They were envious of him for Moses’ sake as well.

(John 9:28 KJV) Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.

Jesus is the Prophet we are to hear…..he alone properly interprets all of the Scriptures. His word supersedes all of Moses and the Prophets.

(Deu 18:15 KJV) The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

Moses and the seventy elders went into the camp where “Eldad” and “Medad” were prophesying. Another indication that Christ Jesus is the central point of their writing….they join Christ as the witnesses of him.

(Num 11:30 KJV) And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

We see this picture at the transfiguration on the mount. Moses and the Prophets (Elijah) are the two witnesses and their words will be perfected by the Lord….they will be interpreted by the Anointed…..Christ Jesus. The Scriptures will be anointed with the Truth. They “talked” with Jesus.

(Luke 9:30 KJV) And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:

He is the “Prophet” that prophesies in the “camp.” We are to hear him…that is why Moses and the 70 elders went into the “camp”….to hear him….to hear “Eldad” and “Medad.”….to hear the Lord Jesus Christ who will interpret Moses and the Prophets for us.

(Luke 9:35 KJV) And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Note that Eldad and Medad did NOT go to the tabernacle… Moses and the 70 elders came to them in the camp.

26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.

As we see at the transfiguration, Moses and Elijah stood with Jesus. It is Christ Jesus’ words that supersedes Moses and the Prophets…..he uses their words and transforms them into a spiritual meaning for us today. They confirm Christ….they wrote of him.

(Luke 9:32 KJV) But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

Like Peter and the those with him, we are to “awake” from our sleep and see His glory shine through the Scriptures. It is His knowledge that will transform the Bible to a spiritual understanding. We will no longer see the Bible as Moses or the Prophets, but will see them as the body of Christ….shining with new meaning. We will see Jesus only in every “jot and tittle.”

(Mat 17:8 KJV) And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
We are to come to Jesus so that we may have Life….for he will open the Scriptures to our understanding. We can search the Scriptures over and over again and not have understanding without having the mind of Christ.

(John 5:39 KJV) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

The “tabernacle” is the “tent”….it is the earthly symbol of the heavenly. Moses’ words….the “tent” in the desert….were the “schoolmaster” that brought many to Christ. When we read Moses’ writings, we only see the temporary “tent.” We do not know what the literal words of the Law spiritually mean without Christ interpreting them for us. We still see them in an earthly, “tent” way. It is Christ who uses the words of Moses and the Prophets in a new, spiritual understanding. The “tent” understanding of the Scriptures will dissolve and there will be a “building of God.” A building built on God’s spiritual understanding.

(2 Cor 5:1 KJV) For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
