No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. So sorry to hear about your mother in law. May God give you and your family strength during this tough time.

It is rough to watch a parent go. I was there when my Dad left... he got to stay at home at least. He died in the same room in the same house he was born in....and that was the way he wanted it. He/we lived in various places all over the country but he really wanted to return to the family farm. Good thing he did...and got to enjoy it for awhile. I do miss him...but I know he is in a much better place with excellent company.

May God be with you always,

The transfiguration on the high mountain is what I call a “literal parable”….a historical event that points to an even greater heavenly scene that is yet to be. Peter, James and John were the ones who did not “taste of death” until they saw the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

(Mat 16:28 KJV) Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

It is no coincidence that the statement Jesus made about those seeing the Son of man coming in his kingdom immediately precedes the transfiguration scene. It is Peter, James and John who were standing there and saw the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart

The transfiguration shows us how the Son of man comes in his kingdom. The “high mountain” signifies the spiritual mountain of God where His wisdom is revealed…it is where New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven…it is His heavenly wisdom that comes through a new understanding of the Scriptures. It is all about the Scriptures being opened up in these last days for our understanding. Those who are waiting for a literal city descending out of heaven are going to miss out on the greatest revelation of the Scripture of Truth.

(Rev 21:10 KJV) And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Jesus was “transfigured” before them. “Transfigured” means “to transform, to change.”

2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

It is through Jesus’ testimony….his interpretation…that the Scriptures are “changed.” It transforms from the literal, surface understanding of man to the spiritual understanding of God through the Spirit of Truth. The Scriptures will “shine” with God’s wisdom and majesty. Man only saw a literal transfiguration of Jesus 2000 years ago in his own mind….but with the mind of Christ, we will see a much deeper, prophetic, heavenly scene that applies to today or the near future. At the transfiguration, we see the Two Witnesses with Jesus “talking with him.” Moses represents the Law and Elijah represents the Prophets. They (the Scriptures) witness to Jesus and Jesus uses their testimony with a new understanding to witness to us. He will use their words as His words with His knowledge to give us understanding. We can then repent of our sins and go in the way of righteousness. We can then grow up into a perfect man in Christ. We will no longer be carnal children who are tossed about by the doctrines of men that deceive us. We are currently divided in many different denominations that fight with each other over who is the right church. We are carnal….children tossed about.

3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

We see Peter saying to Jesus something about making three tabernacles…. one for Jesus, one for Moses and one for Elijah.

4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Man sees the bible separated in 3 “tabernacles:” the Law, the Prophets, and the New Testament. But it is really ONE in the mind of Christ. When one with the mind of Christ reads Moses, he knows he is reading the very words of Christ…spiritual things are revealed through the Law. The literal-minded man reads Moses as literal laws and thinks they have nothing to do with him. They partition Moses off into his own “tabernacle.” The words of Moses are to be “transfigured” into the words of Christ. They will “shine” with new meaning in words that instruct us into the Way of righteousness. The words of Moses spoken with the mind of Christ is just as important as the words of the writers of the New Testament. They are all one in Christ Jesus. But we, as a church, have not been spiritual but carnal….as babes in Christ for the last 2000 years. We have not been able to read the Scriptures with the spiritual discernment of Christ because of our envying and strife….our divisions in the church.

(1 Cor 3:1 KJV) And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

We have only been fed with the “milk” and not the “meat” of the Word. We have been living a carnal men who could not bear the spiritually-discerned interpretation of the bible. So the Scriptures have been sealed from full understanding….until Christ Jesus comes in his kingdom.

2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

And continuing at Matthew 17:5, we see a “bright cloud overshadowing” them.

5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

The “cloud” is the “cloud of witnesses.” All of the witnesses of the bible will have their witness used by Christ Jesus in a new way. The Lord will teach us spiritual things through their words and experiences. We will no longer see their lives as something that happened thousands of years ago in a historical context. Christ Jesus makes them “alive” for us today…and they have spiritual instructions for us today. No longer will we see them in the “tombs”…in their literal, historical, plain meaning…for they will come forth and teach us spiritual things with the testimony of Christ. When we finally understand these things with the testimony of Christ, we are to lay aside the sin that so easily entangles us and run the race set before us.

(Heb 12:1 KJV) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Our Lord will come and “touch” us ….He will strengthen us and heal us. He will forgive us of our sins with His mercy and grace.

6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

And when Peter, James and John “lifted up their eyes,” they saw only Jesus. We too will see only Christ Jesus’ testimony enlightening the Scriptures for us. We will no longer see it divided into different parts….we will see it as ONE in Christ Jesus and then we will be one in His understanding. All will be one in His body.

8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

As the “bright cloud” was seen overshadowing at the transfiguration…so also the Son of man comes in his kingdom on a cloud with power and great glory. Not a literal cloud in the sky…but a spiritual cloud of witnesses. The Scriptures will be opened to understanding and the “cloud of witnesses” will speak a spiritual message to us today. We are to hear the Son....to hear His voice only.

(Luke 21:27 KJV) And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

When we begin to understand these things….we are to “look up”…. “lift up our eyes” as Peter, James and John did on the high mountain. Our redemption draws near.

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

When Christ Jesus opens his mouth to interpret the Scriptures for us, then those “cloud of witnesses”…the just men of the bible….will have been made “perfect” through his testimony. No longer will their witness be used by fleshly-minded men to deceive others with their misinterpretations.

(Heb 12:23 KJV) To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

His testimony will “speak better things” than what we have read only by the “letter” of the Scriptures.

24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Let us not refuse Him when He speaks the revealed Scripture of Truth. He will reveal the knowledge and wisdom of the bible to us through His Spirit of Truth that will enlighten and enliven the Scriptures for us. He will speak to us from heaven….with the voice of the archangel….the chief messenger of the Truth. Let us hear His voice and not harden our hearts.

25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

We have not been made perfect yet….and neither have the cloud of witnesses of the Scriptures. But when God’s understanding enlightens us, we can all then be made perfect in Christ Jesus. God speaks through His cloud to us.

(Heb 11:39 KJV) And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain. Abel is “dead” but will speak when God provides His testimony from heaven. He will use Abel to speak to us with the Spirit of Truth.

(Heb 11:4 KJV) By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

Abel’s witness has been silent… “dead”….to the fleshly-minded, religious man who only reads the “Old Testament” as a historical, plain-meaning text. It is only an interesting read for such thinking people…with not much value to them today. But with the mind of Christ… with His testimony, we see Abel was much more than a “keeper of sheep” and his sacrifice was much more than what meets the literal-minded eye.

(Gen 4:2 KJV) And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

The witness of Abel today tells us to love our brothers….that is what a “keeper of sheep” spiritually is. We are to love one another…that is our acceptable sacrifice to God today. We are to love one another with unfeigned love….with a pure heart fervently. We purify our souls in obeying the revealed Truth as shown us through the Spirit of Truth.

(1 Pet 1:22 KJV) Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

We hear this message from the beginning:

(1 John 3:11 KJV) For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

We are not to be as Cain.

12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

Cain was a “tiller of the ground.” The spiritual Cain of today is also a “tiller of the ground”…..his fruits are the fruits of his fleshly mind….he leans upon his own wisdom of the bible and produces things with it. He is a builder of million dollar church buildings, he is a builder of grand ministries, he preaches himself, he is a seller of merchandise in the church, etc, etc. His sacrifice will have no respect because he does not love his brothers when he does such things. His activities are motivated by vain glory of himself and they produce strife and envy in the church. These activities do not promote love for each other….only strife. In the revelation of the Truth, we are to overcome sin. Cain was given the instruction to rule over sin.

(Gen 4:7 KJV) If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

“Sin” lies at the “door”….a prophecy. Sin lies at the door of the revelation of the Truth at the opening of the Scriptures to understanding. Our Lord Jesus Christ is at the door and instructs us and we are to hear what the Spirit says….and overcome… to rule over sin. We will be “accepted” as a son:

(Rev 21:7 KJV) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

We are to “do well” as Cain was instructed and we should also be “accepted”…..the word for “accepted” is “se'eth” which means “to elevate, exalt.” We are to humble ourselves for the Truth of God. We shall inherit all things if we can overcome.

(Luke 14:11 KJV) For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

We are to love one another and not be as Cain….to keep the commandment of God….the fulfilling of the Law.

(2 John 1:5 KJV) And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Who is the deceiver and antichrist? They are those who will not love their brothers after receiving the revelation of the Truth of Christ If we live in Christ, then we acknowledge our Lord….we do not deny Him. We are to hear the instruction “to do well”…to love one another….which is the doctrine (teaching) of Christ.

7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

If we do not overcome, then sin will have us….we will be consumed in iniquity without remedy (given over to a reprobate mind to be filled with all unrighteousness)…… because we did not listen to the Lord when He spoke and instructed us into the Way of righteousness:

(Rom 1:28 KJV) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

(Prov 29:1 KJV) He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remed

To show another point about the transfiguration on the high mountain. It was Peter, James and John who were the ones who would not taste of death until they had seen the kingdom of God come with power……the transfiguration was the earthly, historical event of a future heavenly reality that is at the doors today.

(Mark 9:1 KJV) And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

His raiment became “shining”…..meaning the Lord interprets the Scriptures for us at His revelation of the Truth. No “fuller on earth can white them”…..meaning, no man’s private interpretation can save us….only Christ’s interpretation of the Scriptures can make us pure….for His doctrine is pure. Man’s earthly interpretation of the bible is corrupted and darkness.

3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

We are to hear His voice and no one else. He will speak to us from heaven and guide us into the Way of Truth….the Way of righteousness. We have been living with man’s instruction of his own way of “righteousness” which is the path of the wide gate of ruin.

(Mark 9:7 KJV) And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

We see that Jesus told them to tell no man the things they had seen until the Son of Man was risen from the dead:

(Mark 9:9 KJV) And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

We also see that Peter does just that….he tells us in his letter what he saw on the mount. He tells us that he has made known to us the power and the “coming”…..which is the word “parousia”…..of our Lord Jesus Christ. They heard a voice from heaven.

(2 Pet 1:16 KJV) For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

And as Peter indicates to us, we also have a more sure word of prophecy that we are to take heed of …..as a light that shines in a dark place.

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

Now we see that the literal event of the transfiguration points to the heavenly reality of the PROPHECY OF THE SCRIPTURE……the INTERPRETATION by our Lord Jesus Christ in these last days.

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

The heavenly transfiguration on the holy mount is the interpretation of the Scriptures by our Lord Jesus Christ through the Spirit of Truth. It is to be "transformed" into a spiritual understanding. His voice overrides any man’s private interpretation…..and He speaks through the “cloud of witnesses” by properly interpreting literal events and words in a spiritual way for our guidance today….so that we may cleanse ourselves and do true works of holiness in God rather than of man. Man has been doing the works of his own hands with his own knowledge for for the last 2000 years.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. The bible is interpreted by Christ alone….spiritually and not by man’s earthly, literal understanding of the letter of the Scriptures. We are to hear His voice only.

(Rev 19:10 KJV) And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

We are no longer to hear Mr. Pastor, phd …..the bible “scholars” of today. The wisdom of this world…the current religious understanding….is going to pass away. The wisdom of religious man is foolish. It is man’s fleshly wisdom of the Scriptures that is going to disappear. It is the current spiritual “heaven and earth” that will disappear. The literal heaven and earth is not the one passing away….it is the foolish wisdom of man that has ruled over us (the heaven) that will pass away. His words…..His interpretation of the Scriptures will never pass away.

(Luke 21:33 KJV) Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

(2 Cor 1:12 KJV) For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

Let not man glory in men.

(1 Cor 3:19 KJV) For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

To repeat, those that did not “taste of death” until the kingdom of God had come with power were Peter, James and John.

(Mark 9:1 KJV) And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

This is evidenced by Peter’s letter testifying to what he saw on the mount. The “transfiguration” = the kingdom of God coming with power. Only they saw it in a literal way, but we are waiting for the heavenly reality…the spiritual coming of the kingdom. Peter saw the “power” and “coming” of the Lord Jesus Christ. The word for “coming” is the word “parousia.” Compare……Mark 9:1: “till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power…” = 2nd Peter: “….when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ….”

Today, we are waiting for his “parousia”….his interpretation of the Scriptures…his opening of the bible for our understanding. The “transfiguration” of the Scriptures from the earthly understanding of the mind of man into the mind of Christ. His interpretation overrides all of man’s interpretation and understanding. The “light” will shine in a “dark” place….or a “dry, dusty” place which would be the mind of man. …man’s wisdom is a “drought”…a “dry, dusty” place in regard to the proper interpretation of the Scriptures.

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

We are looking forward to the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ….the “epignosis”…. “full discernment.” Once we have the full knowledge, we can be fruitful in doing God’s will and not our own.

(2 Pet 1:8 KJV) For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

The “entrance” that shall be ministered to us abundantly is the opening up of the Scriptures for our understanding….it is the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we embrace this “present truth,” we are to learn more and more in abundance of the things written in the Scriptures….we can be fruitful in the Lord Jesus Christ in the power and glory of God.

11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

Peter stated about putting aside a “tabernacle:”

13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath showed me.

He also mentioned the “decease” of him.

15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

These two things are common with the transfiguration on the mount. The “tabernacle” is mention by Peter on the mount….the 3 tabernacles.

(Mark 9:5 KJV) And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

The “tabernacles” are the current divisions in the bible…..the Law, the Prophets, and the New Testament. The tabernacle represents the current understanding and use by man in his current religious world. Peter stated that he must put away this current “tabernacle”….his “decease.” “Decease” is the word “EXODUS”…..yes, that exodus of the Old Testament. It means “departure” and not necessarily “death.” The writings of the Scriptures are to be “transfigured” into the “true sayings of God”….they are to be transformed from man’s wisdom and understanding to God’s wisdom and understanding. The “true sayings of God” = “the testimony of Jesus.” It is the active voice of the Lord which we will hear who will interpret the Scriptures for us in this last day .

(Rev 19:9 KJV) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Peter’s witness will have his “departure” from the current “truth” of man into the true sayings of God….the “present Truth” that comes with our Lord’s testimony at the end of this age. No longer will man see “three tabernacles” but will see the ONE “temple of God”….the knowledge of Christ Jesus in all of the Scriptures shining through in a “new song.” With this knowledge, we can be built into ONE temple of God wherein He will dwell with us. We will not be Jew or “Greek,” free or bond….but ONE in the body of Christ. We are NOT there yet….because the church is still carnal understanding in many divisions and the Jews do not believe yet.

(Rev 21:3 KJV) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

The “former things are passed away”….the current “truth” and religious organization of man will disappear and all things will be made “new.”

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Man’s current wisdom and construction of the Scriptures will disappear…..all things will be made new. For God will properly interpret the Scriptures for us….and His WORDS ARE TRUE AND FAITHFUL. Man’s current words are not true and not faithful.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Peter must “decease”…..not in death but in Life. His “decease” is the word “exodus” which means “departure”….the departure from the current, earthly understanding of his witness by man (the current tabernacle) into the knowledge of Christ Jesus. The word “exodus” is also used in the New Testament at the transfiguration as well. The “decease” is the “departure” which should be accomplished (completed) at Jerusalem…..the New Jerusalem….the heavenly wisdom of God.

(Luke 9:30 KJV) And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

The word “exodus” only shows up 3 times in the New Testament: Once at the transfiguration in Luke, once in 2nd Peter as shown, and once in Hebrews. All three scriptures are talking about the same thing….the departing from the current tribulation of their witness by the fleshly mind of man into the mind of Christ where true Life is. The children of Israel departed (exodus, “decease”) from Egypt. The witness of all the biblical saints of God will depart from the bondage of man’s literal, carnal understanding (spiritual Egypt) into the mind of Christ with His knowledge and understanding (spiritual New Jerusalem.) “Departing” = “exodus”….not meaning “death.” Joseph’s “death” relates spiritually to his witness in the Old Testament….that his witness would be in the “death” of man’s fleshly understanding of his witness. But Christ comes to “enliven” his witness in our minds.

(Heb 11:22 KJV) By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.

The main point of those who died in faith is to show that they understood and embraced the idea that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth until the Lord comes to use their witness in His Light of His knowledge and understanding. They knew back then that their witness as recorded in the Scriptures would be misused in the literal-mind of earthly man….to be strangers in the mind of carnal man until the parousia of the Lord who will use their witness in a new understanding for us today.

(Heb 11:13 KJV) These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Those faithful clouds of witnesses words are used by His voice….He will speak through them in a new way. They seek to depart from the current understanding of man into the heavenly city…..the wisdom of God.

14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Once our Lord uses their witness as it should be…..they will have then been “perfected” in Christ Jesus….they will have received the promise.

(Heb 11:39 KJV) And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

The Lord “cometh with clouds”….He “appears” with “clouds.” Not the literal clouds in the sky but the “cloud of witnesses” of the bible. Their witness will be used by God in a new way to instruct us into the Way of righteousness. They will all point to Christ as ONE person….so that we may be ONE in Him in righteousness. We will all then be made perfect in one man….in Christ Jesus. The “clouds” bring the “rain”….the “instruction” of Christ to us who are in the spiritual drought of man’s current understanding and wisdom. And when we do “see” or understand Him, we shall wail because of the way we have previously handled the Word of God in our carnal understanding. We have misused their witness for earthly things and not the things of God. But there is repentance and mercy to be shown to all who repent at the revelation of the “present Truth.”

(Rev 1:7 KJV) Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

A study on the phrase “this generation.”

Many have considered the reference in Matthew and Luke about “this generation” as applying to that current generation of Jews of 2000 years ago. The “generation” that Jesus was talking about is the current “generation” of this heaven and the earth that will pass away when all things he spoke of are fulfilled.

(Mat 24:34 KJV) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

The very question to the mystery as to the identity of “this generation” is answered in the very next verse by Jesus. “this generation shall not pass until” = “heaven and earth shall pass away.”

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

The object of the phrase “this generation” is the current “generation” of the heaven and earth that shall pass away when all these things shall be fulfilled. "This generation" has NOT passed away yet....we are still waiting for this "to come." He was, and is , and is to come.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

There are “generations” of the heaven and earth…and that is what Jesus is referring to in Matthew and Luke when he speaks of “this generation” passing away. As it is stated in Genesis, there are “generations of the heavens and of the earth.” One passes away and another begins.

(Gen 2:4 KJV) These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

Jesus is referring to the ending of the current heaven and earth and the beginning of the “new heaven and new earth.” We are in the second “generation” of the heaven and earth. We are looking toward a “new heaven and new earth”….another “generation” of the heaven and earth. This heaven and earth (“this generation” of heaven and earth) shall pass away and the next generation of the heaven and earth will begin….where righteousness dwells.

(2 Pet 3:13 KJV) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The “generation” of the heaven and earth during Noah’s time was destroyed by the flood. Jesus made it clear that he was talking about the current heaven and earth when talking about “this generation” passing away by comparing this one to the end of the last “generation” that was destroyed. The times of Noah and the flood was the last time the earth had passed away. After the flood, there was a kind of “recreation.” Jesus’ teaching about the passing away of “this generation” and the “days of Noah” is strongly correlated. He is comparing the passing away of “this generation” with the passing away of the last “generation” by the flood. Jesus was not speaking disjointedly when talking about the passing away of this generation, the passing away of the heaven and earth, and the flood of the days of Noah. They are all speaking of the same thing.

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Only Noah and his family were saved from the passing away of that last “generation.” Only Noah was seen in the “this generation” of his time before the passing away of his “this generation” and a new “generation” began after the flood.

(Gen 7:1 KJV) And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

In the generation that Noah lived in, man was always evil. We are also to be found righteous before God (as Noah) in our wicked “this generation”….before the passing away of it. We are also to be saved from the wrath of God that comes upon those who hold the truth in unrighteousness. We are also living in a wicked generation. We are to be diligent that we be found of Him in peace, without spot and blameless…..we are to be found as “righteous” before God just as Noah was before the flood. “Noah” means “rest, peace.”

(2 Pet 3:13 KJV) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

We are looking for the new heavens and new earth….according to His promise. As Paul told us, he knew a man that was caught up to the “third heaven”….the future vision of the new heaven and new earth.

(2 Cor 12:2 KJV) I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

The man Paul was speaking of was not himself, but was about John who wrote the book of Revelation. John was caught up to heaven….to paradise and heard unspeakable words. That is why he wrote in such a highly metaphoric language…..he heard things that were not lawful for a man to utter. But the testimony of Jesus will utter those unspeakable words…we are to hear the Spirit that will speak the Word of God. John saw things that must be hereafter….the coming “third heaven.”

(Rev 4:1 KJV) After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.

The Lord…..the Word of God….which IS, and which WAS, and which IS TO COME….three time frames.

(Rev 1:8 KJV) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

The heaven and earth that WAS…was formed and passed away by the Word of God:

(2 Pet 3:5 KJV) For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

The heaven and the earth WHICH ARE NOW….which IS…shall also PASS AWAY… “this generation” of the heaven and earth shall PASS AWAY by the same Word of God:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The current generation of the heaven and earth that we are in… “this generation” ….shall not pass away until His Word is fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away but His Words will never pass away. The Word stays the same….the Word which, which is, and which is to come….the new heaven and new earth comes by the same Word that has formed all the generations of the heaven and the earth.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

According to His promise….to His Word….we are looking for a new heaven and new earth…we are looking forward to a new creation that will be made by His Word…the Word that never changes.

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The Lord said He is the One who was (past) and is (present) and is to come (future.) When He comes, then the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord….ARE BECOME. We are still waiting for this. When this happens, there will not be the future phrase of “who is to come.”

(Rev 11:15 KJV) And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Let us look at what the 24 elders say:

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

Many texts omit “art to come:”

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

It will then be in the present in…the here and now…when He has taken His great power and reigns….the consummation will have arrived and there will be no future “who art to come.” His wrath IS COME:

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said [it], that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

I have looked into the word fell before .. and it may mean more than i originally thought .. its Strong's G4098 - piptō

Rev 7:11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and [about] the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Rev 4:10The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
it is seen again here to the word fell/fall down in greek means all these in certain tenses

all seem to be negative but 5 and that seems to be the right tense ...
AV — fall 69, fall down 19, light 1, fail 1

Hi Chickapee, I will continue to hope and pray for her. I know how hard it is to watch someone you love suffer in such great pain. God bless you all.

We are looking forward to the “regeneration” of the heaven and earth…the “re-creation”…..the spiritual rebirth.

(Mat 19:28 KJV) And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

We are to follow him in the “regeneration”…..we are to leave our houses (churches) or brothers and sisters or doctrines of men for the Truth’s sake…..we shall inherit Life in Him.

29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

“This generation” of the heaven and earth will pass away but His Word will not. We are looking for a new heaven and new earth wherein dwells righteousness. Again, we are looking forward to a time of “refreshing”…..the times of “restitution of all things” which was spoken by the Word of God through His holy prophets since the world began:

(Acts 3:19 KJV) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

We are on the verge of a spiritual re-creation of the heaven and earth by the Word of God. What brings about this re-creation is the opening up of His Word to our understanding…. “let there be light.” His Word has not changed….but it will be man’s understanding of the Scriptures that will change. We will have the mind of Christ (the Light) and will understand all things in the Lord. With His Word, we can be made into a new creation….wherein dwells righteousness. We have been living in darkness…..spiritually, the earth is currently“without form and void.” Living in darkness and being “without form and void” is spiritually saying that we have no knowledge of God….no understanding of His righteousness. This understanding of being without form and void is made alive to us in Jeremiah. Compare: His people not knowing God and having no understanding = the earth was without form and void and the heavens have no light.

(Jer 4:22 KJV) For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

The earth “became” this way….it was not created “without form and void.” The Hebrew word for “was” is “hayah” which really means “to become.” The earth “became” without form and void.

(Gen 1:2 KJV) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Again, the earth was not CREATED in “vain”….the Hebrew word “tohuw” means “desolation, vain, without form.”

(Isa 45:18 KJV) For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

But the Lord MADE it empty and waste. The earth was not created without form and void but it “became” that way because of God’s judgments upon His people for their sins. We have become darkened in our understanding and works because of sin. God has judged His church accordingly. Judgment started at the house of God.

(Isa 24:1 KJV) Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.

The church lives in confusion of the Scriptures because of our sins. As it says in Daniel, we have confusion of face. This very day, the church is living in confusion….divided in envy and strife…wars and hatred toward one another.

(Dan 9:7 KJV) O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

The church is in its current condition because of the judgments of God. As we see in Genesis, “darkness was upon the face of the deep”…..meaning, the judgments of
God are upon the church but the church does not understand His judgments nor His knowledge or His ways. It is in darkness…..darkness is upon the face of the deep.

(Gen 1:2 KJV) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

His judgments are like the “great deep:”

(Psa 36:6 KJV) Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

His judgments are “unsearchable” and His ways are past finding out:

(Rom 11:33 KJV) O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

But, for those who are diligently looking for Him shall find His Light….His knowledge. The Light of Christ will shine in a “dark place”……the bright, morning star shall arise in our hearts.

(2 Pet 1:19 KJV) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

Our hearts will burn with the Light just as the disciples who were walking toward Emmaus. He will “open to us the Scriptures.”

(Luke 24:32 KJV) And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

He will open up ALL of the Scriptures to our understanding….He will “expound” …interpret….them to us concerning himself:

(Luke 24:27 KJV) And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

He will sit at meat with us….the Scripture of Truth….and will interpret for us (breaking the bread down for us to understand)….and then our eye are going to “open = dianoigo….which means to open thoroughly”…..and we shall know Him….. “know = epiginosko….which means to fully recognize, to know upon some mark.”

(Luke 24:30 KJV) And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

And as the waters under heaven were gathered into one place and the dry land did appear…..

(Gen 1:9 KJV) And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

So also will we be gathered together (the waters) and will hear the revealed Truth (it shall appear like the dry earth did)….the Light of Christ.

(Isa 43:9 KJV) Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

The nations shall gather together (the seas shall gather together) to hear the Truth….and He shall separate the sheep from the goats….the light from the darkness….the waters from the waters…..the wheat from the tares.

(Mat 25:32 KJV) And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

We, as a church, are in need of the “washing of the regeneration”……to be cleansed from our sins…to be saved….to have the Spirit renewed in us. We have been divided against each other. The church has been living in “malice and envy” and hating one another. We are in need of the “regeneration” of God….the “re-creation.” Many in the church have been foolish, disobedient and deceived and served many lusts and pleasures.

(Titus 3:3 KJV) For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Think about this….the Israel in the flesh has been provoked to jealousy by the Christian Gentiles…..who are the “foolish” nation that Paul speaks about in Romans. We are an unintelligent people as far as the knowledge of the things of God goes.

(Rom 10:19 KJV) But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

We, as a church, have been under the judgment of God because of our sins. We have been scattered abroad as the “four winds of heaven” as judgment upon the church:

(Zec 2:6 KJV) Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

We are to deliver ourselves from Babylon….to come out of Babylon.

7 Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

The “four winds of heaven” are the judgments of God upon the church . We have been scattered. We have live divided and in confusion and hating one another. But our Lord will gather us together….He will assemble us together. We are the “ekklesia” which means “called out, assembly.” The end-time “church” or ekklesia is the “called out”of Babylon….gathered from the “four winds of heaven” into one mind and one body….one mouth….gathered together in unfeigned love for one another.

(Mat 24:31 KJV) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The “four winds” symbolize the current conditions of the church….the judgments of
God. The four winds = the four horses in Revelation. Judgment began at the house of God…upon His church that has gone astray and has been scattered by the four winds of heaven. It was God’s will that these things would happen. We are to recognize and understand and love His judgment. Darkness was upon the face of the deep and God said “let there be light.”

If we look at the four horses in Revelation, the “white horse” is Babylon….the confusion that has come upon us all as a conqueror. There is much confusion over the interpretation of the Scriptures. It has ruled over all of us. During this time of confusion, we were to love one another to show we are the disciples of Christ. Even though we have only known in part, we were to love God and each other….the simplicity of Christ. We were to have faith…to have patience…to have love for one another during this time of trial….a time of temptation.

(Rev 6:2 KJV) And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

But many of the church were not content to wait upon our Lord to come and open the Scriptures to us for understanding and have fallen into the temptation of interpreting the Scriptures for themselves. When man leans upon his own wisdom of the bible, then comes war with each other over those differing opinions. The “red horse” symbolizes the blood shed of our own brothers and sisters by those who have leaned upon their own understanding of the Scriptures. Whoever hates his brother is a “murderer.” Our peace has been taken away as a result of man not accepting the confusion of over the Scriptures and leaning upon his own wisdom….his own private interpretation. By doing so, many have hated each other. There are many denominations of the church.

3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

As a scattered church, we fight and war with each other.

(James 4:2 KJV) Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

James has written this to us today, the scattered church…the spiritual Israel…the “twelve tribes” that are scattered to the “four winds.”

(James 1:1 KJV) James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

We were to accept the confusion of the Scriptures…Babylon….just as it was predicted in Jeremiah to the Jews. They were also to submit to the king of Babylon and not rebel. They were not to listen to the false prophets. So also we are not to hear false teachers today. We were to accept the confusion of the Scriptures until the Lord comes to reveal His Word to us. In the meantime, we were to follow the commandment of Jesus….to love one another. Those that have accepted the confusion (Babylon) as the judgment of God have found true life:

(Jer 27:14 KJV) Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
(Jer 27:17 KJV) Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?

We were to accept the confusion (Babylon) over the Scriptures as the judgment of God.

(Jer 27:12 KJV) I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
13 Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

If we listen to the false teachers, who are in many of our pulpits, who rely on their own wisdom of the bible, then we enter through the “wide gate” of ruin …the road to destruction. Those that listen to the false prophets today are spiritually in a state of “famine, pestilence” and hating each other….the “sword.”

(Jer 38:2 KJV) Thus saith the LORD, He that remaineth in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall have his life for a prey, and shall live.

We, as a church, were not to go to spiritual “Egypt” to attempt to interpret the Scriptures for ourselves….to escape the confusion of the Scriptures. We were not to form our own doctrines and commandments of men with our earthly understanding of the Scriptures. It has brought those who accept the doctrines of men into bondage…Egypt. The doctrines and commandments of men bring division…hatred, war, famine and pestilence. Many in our churches are “sick” ….spiritual pestilence.

(Jer 42:17 KJV) So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.

When we, as a church, awaken to knowing God and His judgments, we are to leave those things behind….to leave the doctrines and commandments of men that are based on his own understanding of the bible. We are not to go back to bondage….to Egypt.

(Gal 4:8 KJV) Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
9But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Listening to the false prophets, who say they have the Truth of the Scriptures (when it has even been given yet by our Lord,) brings “destruction”….the “sword, famine, pestilence”…..death and hades. It is the wide gate…the broad way to ruin. Listening to them bogs the church down in hatred, envy, strivings, malice, and lusts for worldly things….. “destruction…ruin.”

(Mat 7:13 KJV) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

But those who accept the judgment of God….the confusion over the Scriptures ….and live according to the doctrine of Christ….to love one another, have found true Life in God.

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

And the result of listening to false teachers has brought about the famine of hearing the Word of God as symbolized by the “black horse.” The church is spiritually in hunger and thirst under their care.

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

But when our Lord feeds us with the Truth, then all tears that were brought on by the false teachers shall be wiped away from our eyes. We will then see for ourselves the revealed Truth.

(Rev 7:16 KJV) They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

And the “pale horse” shows us the final condition of the church. We are in our “graves”….we have been in “death and Hades”….that is why Jesus tells the 7 churches that He has the keys to “death and Hades” to let us out. We have been in a prison and the prison keepers are the false prophets. They keep us spiritually hungry and thirsty. They do not feed us the Truth. They keep us in darkness and lead us astray after the things of men and not after the things of God. They are the “beasts of the earth.”

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

This is why the church is in such disarray….scattered to the “four winds of heaven.” We have not known His judgments….darkness was upon the face of the deep. But He will show us His judgments….we will know because the Light of Christ Jesus shall manifest them to us. When God gives us the Light, we can understand His judgments. We shall come and worship before Him:

(Rev 15:4 KJV) Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

But we are to be gathered from the four winds…the judgments of God. We are to be assembled in the Truth of our Lord and Savior…..the true Light that shines in the darkness. Then we can produce true fruits of righteousness. We can then be called trees of righteousness….the planting of the Lord:

(Isa 61:3 KJV) To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

We can then build the “old wastes” and raise the “former desolations.” We can be fellow helpers with God in the “re-creation”…..the “regeneration.”

4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

To be continued….

Thanks for the post Wheeler !! those born of flesh and blood as we all have been born of at this time , will never know the will of God
but those born again of Spirit and truth do know the difference and the times ! the time is at hand 1Jo 2:18Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out], that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. .

being awakened to His righteouness to the knowledge of God we are to speak of His Holy Work in the earth .... 1Cr 15:34Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak [this] to your shame.

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Rom 9:28For he will finish the work, and cut [it] short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
we have some precious promises that the Good Lord is doing in our time
the building up of His Body the true Chrurch , the called out ones
whom the Lord has kept for His own ..

Chickapee, thanks for keeping me posted on your mom in law. I hope she pulls through.

To repeat, we are to be gathered together at the great sound of a trumpet….the gathering together in the Truth of the Word of God that will be preached by His messengers to those who will hear with their ears.

(Mat 24:31 KJV) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

We are to assemble ourselves together in love for each other in the full knowledge (epignosis) of the Truth.

(Heb 10:24 KJV) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

We are not to forsake this assembly of ourselves in the knowledge of the Truth. Paul is speaking regarding the end-time gathering of the elect of God….to an awakening church to the Truth. Many prison keepers (false teachers) misuse this verse to keep their prisoners locked away.

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

For when we in assemble together now in “church,” it is not for the better but for the worse:

(1 Cor 11:17 KJV) Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

Our God will revive us again, as a church, so that we may rejoice in Him. He will show us His mercy and grant us salvation. We have all sinned and fell short of His glory. We will be gathered from the “four winds” of His judgments

(Psa 85:5 KJV) Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
7 Show us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

He will speak to us (the great trumpet)….from heaven. He will open the Scriptures up for our understanding so that we may know His righteousness and we can be gathered as ONE in unfeigned love. Let us not turn AGAIN to folly. We have been a foolish nation…..a foolish people who have been living in darkness…without the knowledge of God’s ways and thoughts.

8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.
10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Truth shall spring out of the Scriptures and our hearts.

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12 Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

Let us receive the love of the Truth in our hearts….let us know the Way and walk in the Way of righteousness.

13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

In these last days, God will speak to us from heaven….the great trumpet…that will gather us together into one perfect man in Christ Jesus.....in unfeigned love for each other. He will reveal the Truth….the Way of righteousness. Let us not turn AGAIN to folly.

(2 Pet 2:21 KJV) For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

In the Way of righteousness is Life….there is no death:

(Prov 12:28 KJV) In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

A wise son hears his Father’s instruction. Our Father in heaven instructs us into the Way of righteousness by opening up the Scriptures to our understanding so that we may know the Way of His steps.

(Prov 13:1 KJV) A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

As a church, we have been “servants of sin”…..not knowing His righteousness.

(Rom 6:20 KJV) For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

But when we are “awakened” to righteousness by the Light of Christ Jesus, we shall see that the things we have done and worked for as a church were shameful. Paul is speaking in context of the church when he wrote these things….not to outside “unregenerate” sinners. He wrote these things to the people of God.

21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We are to “awake” to His righteousness....which indicates the church has been asleep. The church is asleep and needs to awaken to the revealed Truth of God so that it can be set free from sins.

(1 Cor 15:34 KJV) Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

As a church, we are to awake from our sleep…to arise from the dead….and Christ shall give us the Light. We have been “dead” in sins and trespasses….as a church!! He will give us the full knowledge of God. Darkness has been upon the face of the deep.

(Eph 5:14 KJV) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Again, the church is to “awake out of sleep” and cast off the works of darkness.

(Rom 13:11 KJV) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Again, Paul wrote to the CHURCH these things. Christ comes to enlighten our hearts and minds to the Truth….He will quicken us who were dead in trespasses and sins. We were dead as a church that was asleep….keeping it in context. These letters were written to churches.

(Eph 2:1 KJV) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:

In “time past ye walked according to the course of this world”…..the sleeping church has walked according to the course of this world.

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

But God, who is rich in mercy and has great love for us, shall quicken us TOGETHER in Christ. Right now, the church is not together….it is carnal living in divisions, in envy and strife, provoking one another while chasing after vain glory.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

The church is not to behave as it once did….we will be ashamed of those things we did while “asleep” when we awake and understand the Truth. Many in the church have been living in strife and envying…in spiritual rioting and drunkenness of their own earthly wisdom and ways. But, let us put on the Lord Jesus Christ and no longer make provision for the flesh:

13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

When the Light of Christ comes and opens our minds to the Truth, we can then cease from the works of the flesh. Peter’s words are not to the outside, unregenerate sinners, but to the awakening church in these last days.

(1 Pet 4:1 KJV) Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

The awakening church is no longer to live the rest of the time “in the flesh to the lusts of men.” Many in the sleeping church have lived according to what they have been taught by the false teachers. Many in the pulpits of the churches have been false teachers…leading us astray after the lusts of the flesh which divide us into denominations. In this last day, we are to awaken and cast away all the works of the lusts of men. We will no longer listen to false teachers but will do the will of God.

2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

The “time past of our life” refers to the time we were asleep as a church. We had walked in lusts and abominable idolatries before we awakened to the Truth of God:

3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

Those Christians who reject the Truth when it comes and love to stay “asleep” will speak evil of those who do awaken and cast away the works of darkness. Those that have ceased from sin will suffer in the flesh from their own church people who will not understand because the god of this world will have blinded their minds from the gospel….the good news of the Truth that saves us. The gospel is still preached to them that are dead.

4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

When we finally realize all these things in the Truth, we will know that the end of all things is near. Peter didn’t make a mistake by thinking that the end was near 2000 years ago. He wrote specifically to the awakening church of TODAY. When the awakening church of today realizes what Peter wrote about in his letters, then we KNOW that the end of all things is at hand. We are to stay “sober” and not go back to Babylon’s wine….to be drunken in those activities that many are currently involved in.

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

We are to have fervent love for each other when we awaken to the Truth. Love shall cover the “multitude of sins” that we have all been involved in when we were a sleeping church.

8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

When we receive the love of the Truth and obey the Truth, we are to love each other with "unfeigned" love.....with a pure heart fervently.

(1 Pet 1:22 KJV) Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Hi Wheeler ,
sorry that those two scriptures is so big , it was first wrote on my mail and it transferred way bigger ..and i dont know how to make it smaller :(

She is needing a liver transplant that is the doctors plans ........and we dont know what to think , God help us all ..

the Church sleeps is dead ? Do you think those who sleep in sins are the same as spiritually dead to God ?Luk 20:38For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
God is the God of the living not the dead ? Jesus is the Lord of the dead and living , Jesus is also the resurrection and the Life .....

And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I [am] the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
Mar 12:27He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

seems the certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians
wanted to trap Jesus in His words , yet they were the ones interpeting scriptures wrong and Jesus corrected them telling them of thier error and how they were denying the Power of God Mar 12:24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

peace in Jesus thanksso much for the posts Wheeler they give much food for thought .

Simply put, being “dead” is being “asleep.” A sleeping person is still alive but does no work or is not aware of his or her immediate surroundings. People usually sleep at night. And as prophesied by Jesus, the night was coming when no man can work:

(John 9:4 KJV) I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

The church has fallen asleep in the “night” of the last 2000 years. All that was required for the church to do was to love God and love each other during this “night.” The doctrine or teaching of Christ is to love one another. All other “work” that religious man has done is “works of darkness.” While men “slept,” the tares were sown in the church:

(Mat 13:25 KJV) But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

Jesus told John to write and send what he saw to the 7 churches which are in “Asia.” “Asia” means “sunrise, resurrection.” This was not written to just those churches in literal Asia of 2000 years ago, but is written specifically for us today who are in the “sunrise” of the morning of the revelation of the Truth. Jesus tells those of the “sunrise” that he has the keys of Hades and “death.” Why is he telling the churches this? Because they have been “asleep”….in the sleep of “death.” TODAY, He is awakening His churches with the revelation of the Truth. The church has participated in a “death” just as he did. Jesus is coming with the Truth to wake His church out of its “sleep” or “death.”

(Rev 1:18 KJV) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

He is the “bright, morning star”…..the sun rises in the morning…men wake up from their sleep after the night is over. So must His church wake up.

(Rev 22:16 KJV) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

We are to be “watchful”….in other words, “to wake up” as it was told to the church in Sardis. We are to cast off our dead works….works of darkness. The dead works of the church which are done for vain glory do not promote love for one another. “Sardis” = “red ones”…..we do works of violence when we provoke one another.

(Rev 3:1 KJV) And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

If we don’t wake up, then he will come as a thief:

3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

As Jesus told the church, we are to “strengthen” ourselves. And we find in “Romans” which means “strength,” that the “day is at hand” ….so we should cast off the works of darkness. This is specifically written to the awakening church of today….in the “morning” of the revealed Truth….in “Asia.” It is “high time to awake out of sleep”….the church has been “asleep” for the last 2000 years. Paul was not mistaken in the timing of the salvation being “near.” He wasn’t 2000 years off. He is speaking to an awakening church of today. When we finally understand what he is saying here, then we know our salvation is near and that the “night is far spent.”

(Rom 13:11 KJV) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

To keep all these things in its historical time frame is being asleep. These things apply to us TODAY….the awakening church in “Asia”…the “sunrise” of the bright, morning star. To take things literally is being asleep. When Jesus said that Lazarus was only asleep, his disciples took it literally. Lazarus was not “dead” in Jesus’ mind but was only “asleep”….so also is the church. The church also needs “helped by God”….as the name “Lazarus” means. It also needs to be awakened out of its sleep just as Lazarus. It also needs to come out of its “grave.” This goes beyond the plain meaning of Lazarus being resurrected 2000 years ago, but it also applies to the church of today.

(John 11:11 KJV) These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

We also see the literalists scorning Jesus when he said that the “damsel is not dead but sleepeth:”

(Mark 5:39 KJV) And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

Now note what Jesus does to the ones who “laughed him to scorn.” He “put them all out.” The Greek word is “ekballo” …..which means “eject, cast forth, drive out , send away.” Likewise, Jesus will send away all those who will not listen to his testimony….the Scripture of Truth.

40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

To read and understand the Scriptures in a literal, plain way is being “asleep.” The mind of the flesh keeps the words of the bible in the plain, literal understanding of man. Religious man relies on his own literal understanding of the bible and produces “works” of the flesh with it. He is “carnally minded” and not spiritually minded. To be “carnally minded” is “death” or being “asleep.”

(Rom 8:6 KJV) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

When we “sleep,” are open to temptation by those “carnally-minded” men who seek to lead us astray with their works of darkness. As Jesus told his disciples, we are to “rise and pray:”

(Luke 22:46 KJV) And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

We are to arise from our sleep like Peter, James and John on that high mountain.
We are to “awake” from our heavy sleep and see the glory of God.

(Luke 9:32 KJV) But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

We will see His glory in the revelation of the Truth of the Scriptures. We will no longer see the plain, literal letters of the bible with the words that man’s wisdom teaches in our churches. Our understanding will be changed and we will understand things spiritually with the spiritual mind of the Spirit of God.

(1 Cor 2:13 KJV) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The “natural” man receives not the things of the Spirit of God. He keeps the Word of God in a literal, plain sense. He reads the stories and words of the bible with his earth-based mind….keeping things in a historical context. The literal things hide the spiritual things of God from such.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

We can only understand these things with the mind of Christ…..because they are spiritually discerned. Those that keep the bible in the earthly plane think these spiritual things are foolishness. They will have preferred to stay “asleep.” We are not to love spiritual sleep.

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

And here is where Paul makes it clear about the church being in “death.” For the last 2000 years, the bible has only been “milk” to the church and not the spiritual “meat.” We have been “carnal”…..to be carnally- minded is “death.”

3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

The church is “carnal” by evidence of the “divisions” and the envying and strife we see today. To be carnally-minded is “death.” It is being “asleep.”

3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

But our God comes to awaken us so that we may purge our consciences from the “dead works” of the literal-minded church teachings and to serve the living God in Spirit and Truth. The blood of Christ cleanses us from sins when we finally know the Truth of our ways and thoughts that we have so fondly thought were the works of God….but instead were works of darkness.

(Heb 9:14 KJV) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

We are to go on to perfection…not laying again the foundation of repentance from “dead works.” We are to repent of our dead works that we, as a church, have done for the last 2000 years. The Lord comes to enlighten us to the Truth:

(Heb 6:1 KJV) Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

We can go on to do the REAL, holy works of God. Not the works of literal-minded man.

2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3 And this will we do, if God permit.

He will enlighten our dark minds to the Truth and will make us partakers of the Spirit of Truth. We will spiritually discern things that are spiritual.

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

We are not to love “sleep” and miss out on such a great revelation. We are to “open our eyes” to understanding and be satisfied with the bread of Truth:

(Prov 20:13 KJV) Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

Indeed, God is God of the living. We are to awaken to His righteousness. We are to overcome the mind of the flesh and its sins. Sin shall not have dominance over us in the open door of the Truth….we are to overcome. Sin is “missing the mark” of the Truth. He that overcomes is the “living”…we are written in book of Life. He that overcomes will be His son and He will be his God.

(Rev 21:7 KJV) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

He that overcomes has his name written in the book of Life. But he that will not overcome at the time of such a great revelation of the Truth, will abide in “death.” God is not God of the dead but the living.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Those who continue on with their sins willfully after receiving the Truth will remain in “death”…the “second death.” The Lord will “put those out” like he did those who scorned his words at the raising of the young girl to life. Jesus speaks spiritually but the natural man finds it foolish…laughs to scorn. Those who continue to hate their brothers after the revelation of the Truth will have their part in the “second death.”

(1 John 3:14 KJV) We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Whoever hates his brother is a “murderer” and have their part in the lake of fire….abiding in “death.”

15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Not everyone who says “Lord, Lord” will be saved…only those who do His will after receiving the knowledge of His will. Those who willfully continue on in their “wonderful works” will depart from the living God….. who will say“ I never knew you.” God is not God of the dead.

(Mat 7:22 KJV) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

To sin is to “miss the mark” of the Truth. We err in not knowing the Scriptures…teaching doctrines of men based on the literal understanding of natural man. The “natural man” is like the Sadducees who say there is no “resurrection.” The “resurrection” is the recovery of the spiritual Truth of God. The natural man believes we have all of the Truth as literally understood in the bible and will “laugh to scorn” the spiritual Word of Christ. The natural man says there is no resurrection of the spiritual Truth….for spiritual things are foolishness to him. We still have the “Sadducees” with us today who will be silenced…..as Jesus silenced those Sadducees of yesterday.

(Mat 22:29 KJV) Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob...all live to God. They are not “dead.” It is man who reads their words…their witness…. in the Scriptures in a dead mind….not understanding beyond the literalness of the letters he reads. We do err in not knowing the Scriptures. We do err when we preach what we think is the Truth with our natural mind. It is God who will properly interpret their witness to us….it is His power and not natural man’s wisdom. God is God of those who believe His testimony. Abraham believed God….so did Isaac and Jacob…..all those who believe God’s Words when He speaks are alive.

31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

It is through Christ Jesus that the Truth is taught. He is the Truth.

33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.
34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

Those that don’t “awaken,” remain in “death”….. spiritually “asleep.”

(Jer 51:37 KJV) And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwellingplace for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.
38 They shall roar together like lions: they shall yell as lions' whelps.

Those that won’t hear the Word of God will “sleep a perpetual sleep”….believing a lie and having pleasure in unrighteousness. They will perish in their own corruption.

39 In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the LORD.
40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he goats.

God will “lighten” our eyes to the Truth so that we may escape His wrath.

(Psa 13:3 KJV) Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Great posting Wheeler !
I was thinking how do we overcome the World ?
it is by our faith in Christ and the works of the FATHER and Son
without faith it is impossible to please God
even the faith is the gift of God as Peter was given a measure of grace /gift to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God , flesh and blood does not inherit the things of God and the Holy Spirit .. being born again faith comes by hearing what the Holy Spirit is saying . Jam 1:17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

1Jo 5:4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.

sins are forgiven by faith
Luk 5:20And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

faith in Jesus Christ makes you whole

Luk 8:48And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

faith tested in the fires more precious than gold ! 1Pe 1:7That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
copyChkboxOff.gif
2Pe 1:1Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
praise GOD!!

A study of the woman who was healed of the issue of blood by touching the clothing of Jesus and the raising of the young girl from the dead. All of the deeds that were performed 2000 years ago by Jesus were prophetic for the church of today….in these last days.

The woman that touched the garment of Jesus while he was on his way to raise the little girl from the dead is a prophetic picture the church that is to be healed of its plague in these last days. She had a plague of an “issue of blood”…..the church also has been “sick” by living in strife, envy and hate for one another. “Blood” = bloodshed = hating one another….living in division.

(Mark 5:25 KJV) And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

As the woman suffered many things of many physicians and spent all she had, so has the church suffered at the hands of many false teachers who preach for money and vain glory.

26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

The woman did not get better but grew worse. “Nothing bettered” = “opheleo” which means “to be useful, profit.” The church has not been useful or profitable in the things of God because they have listened to many false teachers…..the many “physicians.” The woman, instead, “grew worse”…..the Greek word is “cheiron” which means “more evil, worthless, depraved.” The church also has become worse and not better. Why is the church not healed by its “physicians?”

(Jer 8:22 KJV) Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

We find the answer in Jeremiah. Many of the “physicians” of the church…the prophets, pastors, reverends, preachers, priests….are given to covetousness and deal falsely.

(Jer 8:10 KJV) Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

They have not made the church any better with their ways and teachings. There is no peace in their leadership.

11 For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
12 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

The many physicians had taken the money from the woman but could not heal her…..she spent all of her living on them. She only grew worse under their care. So also has the church grew worse under the care of those pastors and preachers of false things. The church “spends money” for that which is not the bread of Truth. Our labor is not for that which satisfies.

(Isa 55:2 KJV) Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

In these last days, our God calls out to His church to hear Him and come to Him so that our souls shall live:

3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Just as the woman “heard of Jesus” and came to him…so also the church must hear His voice of Truth and come to Him. We are to “touch his garment”…to attach ourselves to Him….to believe in His knowledge. We are to hear and believe what He preaches to us as the revealed Truth of the Scriptures and come to Him…to attach ourselves to Him.

(Mark 5:27 KJV) When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

We see also, in Matthew, that when the men of the land of Gennesaret “had knowledge of him,” they brought those that were diseased so that those who “touched the hem of his garment” were made “perfectly whole”…..or “saved thoroughly.”

(Mat 14:34 KJV) And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

They had “knowledge of him”….so also must the church have knowledge of Him.

35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;
36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

We are to keep judgment and do justice when He reveals His righteousness to us.
We are to be righteous as He is righteous. His salvation is near to come.

(Isa 56:1 KJV) Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

We are to touch His garment and be healed…to lay hold of His righteousness and salvation. We are to cease from our own “righteous” works to keep His righteousness….His Sabbath. We are to do true works of righteousness and not works of old-time religious man which promote envy, strife and hate among the brothers and sisters.

2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

We are to join ourselves to the Lord…to attach ourselves to Him who speaks:

3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

We are to take hold of His covenant:

4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

We are to join ourselves to the Lord and serve Him…to love the name of the Lord and be His servants. We are to take hold of His covenant:

6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

We are to take hold of “his clothes” and be saved….whole…just as the woman did 2000 years ago. We must have faith in Him.

(Mark 5:28 KJV) For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

Then the strife and envy and hate within the church will depart….the body shall be healed of the plague of the bloodshed within her. We can then live in peace and of one mind and body.

29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

The church is to be saved from living in hate and malice and envy (the plague of the “issue of blood”) by the kindness and love of God who is our Savior:

(Titus 3:3 KJV) For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

And then we see Jesus saying “who touched my clothes?”

(Mark 5:30 KJV) And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

If we look in Luke at this account, we see a message here. When he asks who touched him, those of the multitude “denied” touching him. The Greek word for “denied” is “arneomai” which means “to reject, contradict, refuse.” This is prophetically showing us in this last day that there will be a multitude who will deny the Word of our Lord when He speaks. They will refuse to attach themselves to the Word with belief. They all “denied”…the multitude “thronged” him….and “pressed” him. They crowded against him to trouble and deny him. But those who will receive the love of the Truth and be saved will confess Him before men….just as the woman did.

(Luke 8:45 KJV) And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

The woman came and fell down before him and declared unto him before all the people. Likewise, we are to bow down and confess the Lord before all those who would deny Him.

47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

And then we see Jesus confessing her before the multitude and the Father by calling her “daughter”….the “daughter of Zion.”

48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Whosoever shall confess the Lord who is the Truth, the Way and the Life before men, he will be confessed by the Lord before the Father who is in heaven:

(Mat 10:32 KJV) Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

The revealed Truth will separate the believers from the unbelievers (a separation of those inside the church) who will deny…contradict the Truth of our Lord.

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

While Jesus was on his way to raise the young girl, there were two groups of people……those who followed him in the Truth and those who “thronged” him. Those who “follow him,” follow BEHIND him. Those who “throng” him, press him from every side….they get in the face to contradict the Truth….not to touch his garment and be healed.

(Mark 5:24 KJV) And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

As we see in Luke, the Greek word for “thronged” is “sumpnigo”…which means to “choke, to strangle.” Not a good thing.

(Luke 8:42 KJV) For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.

This is the same word used in the verse about the thorns choking the Word.

(Mark 4:7 KJV) And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

And we see now why the woman came “BEHIND” him….she was a follower….she followed behind him and did not THRONG him.

(Luke 8:44 KJV) Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

Continuing in Mark…..Let us be truthful to the Lord who saves us. Let us work out our salvation in fear and trembling just as the healed woman demonstrated.

33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

Let us lie not against the Truth….the church has been living in envying and strife. Let us not say we have no sin.

(James 3:14 KJV) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

We shall be made whole by the faith in the Truth when we hear it. We are to hear and believe. When we are healed, let us “go in peace”….let us continue in peace and love for one another.

34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Let the peace of God rule in our hearts and let us be thankful for His salvation:

(Col3:15 KJV) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Let us keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace and love for one another…..being “perfect.”

(Eph 4:3 KJV) Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

(2 Cor 13:11 KJV) Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

To be continued….
