  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As Jesus prophesied, there was coming a time for the church that no man can work….no man will be able to do the works of God. The “night cometh:”

(John 9:4 KJV) I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

I believe we are in this time. A time of darkness that the church has been in….. a time that men “as the fishes” are snared in an “evil net”…. An evil time as predicted by Solomon:

(Eccl 9:12 KJV) For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

The church has been snared in an evil time…..taken and put into a prison…a time of testing….a time of temptation. It is a time of “death”….of Sheol….the grave….Babylon. The condition of the church today matches those of the definition of Sheol…..a place where there is no work (no righteous works)….no knowledge of God….nor wisdom. The church has fallen into this time of testing by Satan…..a time of “night.”

(Eccl 9:10 KJV) Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Jesus told the church in Smyrna to expect this….to be put in prison….the second death. “Smyrna” is myrrh….used as a burial spice. But our Lord reminds us that he was once dead and is alive….so we should be hopeful for the church to be raised up again. This is why Jesus tells us he has the keys to death and Hades (Sheol)….because we have been in the prison until the appointed time that he saves us….salvation, deliverance, redemption.

(Rev 2:8 KJV) And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Saul’s acts against the church (before his conversion) were prophetic of Satan’s acts of trial against the church today. Saul made “havoc of the church”….committing them to prison….so has the devil cast the church into prison as the church in Smyrna signifies.

(Acts 8:3 KJV) As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

Saul thought to do many things “contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth”…..so has those that say they are Jews but are the synagogue of Satan. These are people who say they are Jews inwardly (not the literal Jews)….they are really antichrist…though they claim they are Christ….Anointed. They pose as ministers of righteousness but really are slaves to corruption.

(Acts 26:9 KJV) I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Saul received authority from the chief priests to shut the saints up in prison …in much the same way Satan received authority from God to test Job…and also to sift Peter as wheat. “Saul” means “to ask.” His name is derived from the Hebrew word for “Sheol”….hence, a strong connection exists between the words Saul and Sheol. What Saul did to the church is a representation of what would happen to the church in the “death”….the night of the church…..in “Sheol.”

10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

The second death is the time of the persecution of the church…it is the time that the witnesses (the Scriptures) would be mired in confusion….Babylon. It is the time when sinful men would take the Scriptures and do harm to others through their erroneous teachings….masquerading as messengers of righteousness…. A time of many false prophets arising to deceive many. We have been in this time.

11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Satan has tested the church as Job was tested…..he has taken the body of Christ…he has “touched his bone and his flesh.” But our Lord is without sin.

(Job 2:4 KJV) And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

Our “bones are scattered” at the mouth of Sheol….Saul’s voice was against the church.

(Psa 141:7 KJV) Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

Many of the church have been “compelled to blaspheme”….and have been persecuted. They have been in “death and Hades”…but our Lord has the keys to let us out. The night is far spent…the day is at hand. The church in “Romans”….which is a veiled reference to the church today who awakes in “strength”….is to cast off the works of darkness…the works of Sheol. We are to put away the strife and envying that we have been involved in

(Rom 13:11 KJV) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

The church has been asleep while tares were sown. Men slept at “night”….and were unaware of those who “crept in”…those ungodly men who pose as ministers of righteousness. They have brought strife and envy into the church….corruption and decay….increased iniquity and lack of love.

(Jude 1:4 KJV) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

As it says in Daniel, the “daily sacrifice” has been taken away:

(Dan 8:11 KJV) Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered.

The “daily sacrifice” is the indebtedness we have to love one another. It is the “new commandment” that the Lord gave us…it is the “daily sacrifice:”

(John 13:34 KJV) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Jesus said that many shall be offended and betray one another….hating one another….the “daily sacrifice” has been removed from the church by reason of transgression (as it says in Daniel.)

(Mat 24:10 KJV) And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Many false prophets shall arise and deceive many, iniquity shall abound and the love of many shall wax cold….compared to in Daniel: “a host was given him (false prophets) against the daily sacrifice (love of many wax cold, hate each other) by reason of transgression (iniquity shall abound.”)

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

But the Lord comes….the “day” star…..and will teach us the difference between the holy and profane….to discern between the unclean and the clean…..to divide the light from the darkness.

(Ezek 44:23 KJV) And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

The church has been like Nineveh which cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand…it is in “death and Hades”….asleep in the “night.”

(Jonah 4:11 KJV) And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

The Lord comes with His messengers to gather out of His kingdom “all things that offend and them which do iniquity:”

(Mat 13:41 KJV) The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

He will divide the goats from the sheep….He will divide the light from the darkness. He brings “division”…dividing those who love to live in error from those who receive the love of the Truth:

(Luke 12:51 KJV) Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

There will be no “night” in the wisdom of God….New Jerusalem:

(Rev 21:25 KJV) And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

But OUTSIDE are those of darkness…who love unrighteousness….who do not receive the love of the revealed Truth so that they may be saved:

(Rev 22:15 KJV) For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

For the Lord will cause the false prophets and the “unclean spirit to pass out of the land:”

(Zec 13:2 KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

We have received things from our church fathers that are unclean…traditions, practice, doctrines that are not of the Truth but are the tares to be burned.

(1 Pet 1:18 KJV) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Our Lord comes in these “last times” to reveal to us His Truth and knowledge. We are to receive the love of this Truth and obey the Truth through the Spirit unto “unfeigned love of the brethren”……..to love one another with a pure heart as opposed to how we have behaved before…in strive and envy of one another…being deceived by false prophets.

22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Rev 20:6Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

I can see that those who dies in the Lord are the blessed , the above verse
the Lord says in Psalms blessed in the sight of the Lord are His saints / holy ones

Psa 116:15Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.

those who die in the same manner that Christ died ...
there is no vanity in this but do recieve them precious promises of God though Jesus Christ ..

copyChkboxOff.gif
Rev 20:14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

this being the last enemy death and hell is the grave

copyChkboxOff.gif
Rev 21:8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

God is a consuming Fire
Deu 4:24For the LORD thy God [is] a consuming fire, [even] a jealous God.

copyChkboxOff.gif
Deu 9:3Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God [is] he which goeth over before thee;

[as] a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face:

so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly,

as the LORD hath said unto thee.

15Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God;

lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

16Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
17For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected:

for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
18For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
19And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice

they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
20(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a

beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
21And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God,

the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant,

and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
25See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who

refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape,

if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
26Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying,

Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

27And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken,

as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace,

whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

copyChkboxOff.gif
Hbr 12:29For our God [is] a consuming fire.

hebrews 10 22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,

having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,

there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,

which shall devour the adversaries.
28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy,

who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant,

wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me,

I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
33Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods,

knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Psalm 18

1I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
5The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
7Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
8There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
9He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
10And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
11He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
12At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
13The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
14Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
15Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
17He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
18They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
19He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
21For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
23I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
24Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
25With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
26With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
27For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.
28For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
29For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
30As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
31For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
32It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
33He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
34He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
35Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
36Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
37I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
38I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
39For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
40Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
41They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
42Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
43Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
45The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
46The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name. 50Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

Chickapee, just wanted to say thank you for continuing to post your studies. They make me think of so much more to say....although I don't want to bog anyone down with the "books" I put on here. Thank you.

The "daily sacrifice" as mentioned in Daniel is the new commandment of the Lord to love one another. To love one another is something daily to be kept. But Jesus warned us ahead of time in Matthew about the false prophets that would arise to deceive many. We have been living in this time....there are many false prophets. There is a readily visible lack of love within the churches today...the daily sacrifice has long been removed from within the church. A comparison of Daniel with Matthew:

Daniel: Host given against daily sacrifice. "Host" = false prophets who promote hate (against the daily sacrifice)

Matthew : false prophets rise to deceive

Daniel: The daily sacrifice taken away

Matthew :many betray and hate each other
"daily" = love for each other other, Love shall wax cold

Daniel: By reason of transgression

Matthew : iniquity shall abound

Transgression/ iniquity = covetousness which is idolatry standing in the holy place that we are to flee away from

Matthew 24 goes way beyond Jerusalem 70 AD into the church of today. The false prophets and their teachings motivated by covetousness are the "tares" that were sown among the wheat while the church slept. Their teachings have promoted war, hate, envy and strife within the church...to those who have fallen into temptation. As Jesus told his disciples when they fell asleep waiting for him, we were to watch and pray to not fall into temptation. We were to watch for the Lord and watch out for the wolves in sheep's clothing.

(Mat 26:40 KJV) And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

It is the false prophets who tempt us with earthly things....they use the bible in their temptations. They are the wide gate of destruction that many have entered into...they lead us astray into many foolish and hurtful lusts and drown us in destruction and perdition:

(Mat 7:13 KJV) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

We were to be watchful of false prophets....those who seek to make merchandise of us. They promote covetous practices that drown men in ruin and hate.

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

And again, those who lust after worldly things fall into temptation and a snare....into many foolish and hurtful lusts which drown men in destruction....for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction. And the false prophets are there to entice you to enter in.

(1 Tim 6:9 KJV) But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Satan uses his messengers to entice people of the church...he uses "religion" as the backdrop. His messengers are people....they are church leaders who masquerade as preachers of righteousness but inside are full of iniquity......covetous thoughts and practices. They seek those whom they may devour with their deceitful words and teachings. They are the "roaring lion"....they are of their father the devil who we are to look out for. Many have fallen victim to them.

(1 Pet 5:8 KJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

They seek to devour the poor in spirit....those who are weak and asleep.

(Prov 30:14 KJV) There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

Their ways are their folly.....and their followers approve of their sayings.....teachings. Many follow after the highly esteemed "preachers" of folly....covetousness.

(Psa 49:13 KJV) This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.

And again, many follow their "pernicious ways." It is through covetousness that they preach "feigned words" to make merchandise of us. Can we be sure about our own church that we attend? They are the "power of the grave."

(2 Pet 2:2 KJV) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

But the time is coming when the eternal gospel will be preached through out all churches. Those who hear what the Spirit says and does what the Spirit of Truth says, will be saved from the "power of death"....the false prophets who have placed many in a prison...in a grave so to speak.

(Mat 24:14 KJV) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Many have been asleep in the dust of the earth.....they have fallen under the power of the false prophets and false Christs. But the "gospel of the kingdom" will be preached with the voice of the Lord and many of the church will awaken to the Truth. Those that do the Truth will be saved.....have everlasting life. Yet some will stick to their own teachings and doctrines and rise up against the Truth and be condemned.

(Dan 12:2 KJV) And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

The wise are those who hear what the Spirit says and preaches the everlasting gospel. They are Christians instructing other Christians to turn back to God away from their covetous teachings and practices.....to turn back to loving one another.

3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

The voice of the Lord will give us His knowledge so that we may leave "death and hell"...the grave....He has the keys to let us out of the influences of the false prophets.

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

For the hour is coming when we shall hear His voice....the everlasting gospel...and shall come forth from the grave.....the false prophets. Those who receive the love of His revealed Truth and do the Truth will be saved. Those who come forth to oppose and contradict His voice will be judged.

John 5:28 KJV) Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

As He hears.....He judges, and His judgment is just:

30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

The voice of the Lord will preach to us His Truth. How will we respond when we hear it? We will be judged by how we respond to it. For by our words will we be justified or be condemned:

(Mat 12:36 KJV) But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

The revealed Truth, when it comes, will expose what is in a man's heart by how he responds to it:

(Mat 12:34 KJV) O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Thank you Wheeler , I love them books Love ''the BOOK ''that help me to see better !
Gods blessing , and thankful the Lord put it in your hert to share these things

for I am grateful to God for those whom the Lord sends to help in this last hour

I was thinking how decietful religion really is
and after reading many of your posts and these two verses the Chosen of God have the Holy oil in their lamps as God provides it as the seal of promise , those without the seal of the Holy Spirit are
in trouble

we are being warned
than you are back after such a long time praise God !
I have a new caution within that was not there before I thank God for it !

Mat 24:22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Mat 24:24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

and thought of John marvelling at the False Chrurch and the angel rebuking him Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
the rebuke and than the explaining this to him
that is what I see is those whom do rebuke with the Holy Spirit they tell why
the ones who rebuke and have nothing else to offer or tickle the ears what they want to hear are the false annointed , decieving and being decieved
I can so finally get and see Job 12 God is not mocked as a man sows so shall he reap

Job 12

1And Job answered and said,
2No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
3But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
4I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
5He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
6The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.
7But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
8Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
9Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
10In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
11Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?
12With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
13With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
14Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
15Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
16With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.
17He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.
18He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.
19He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.
20He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.
21He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.
22He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.
23He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.
24He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way. 25They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.

it is so awesome .. Gods judgments are in the earth
Jhn 8:26I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
1Sa 2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Blessings in Jesus name

I saw this and it was also good to know Strong's H1215 - betsa`

1) profit, unjust gain, gain (profit) acquired by violence

though of Jesus saying this Mat 11:12And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

because Jesus is come in the flesh Phl 2:7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Isaiah 57

1The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
2He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
3But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the harlot.
4Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood.
5Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks?
6Among the smooth stones of the stream is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
7Upon a lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed: even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
8Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered thyself to another than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenant with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest it.
9And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase thyself even unto hell.
10Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.
11And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart?

have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?
12I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.
13When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them:

but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
14And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up,

prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.
15For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,

to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16For I will not contend for ever,

neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me,

and the souls which I have made.

17For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth,

and smote him:

I hid me,

and was wroth,

and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
18I have seen his ways, and will heal him:

I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
19I create the fruit of the lips;

Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
20But the wicked are like the troubled sea,

when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

21There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

the evil leaders rebuke from God that covet with violence
this chapter has always been important to me to understand , there is something im missing , yet I dont fully grasp it

Hi Heavensprings,

Yes, please jump in anytime you like!

All of God's people should have respect for each other....even if they disagree with each other. Showing love to one another is the most important and basic thing for being a disciple of Christ.....so that all know that we are his learners.

(John 13:34 KJV) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

(1 Cor 13:1 KJV) Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

In Daniel, we see that “arms shall stand”….which is a reference to the false prophets that would arise and deceive many in the church. This is all about the history of the church and the influence of the false prophets upon it…..about how the tares would be sown among the wheat and what fruit they would put forth.

(Dan 11:31 KJV) And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

Taking away the “daily” sacrifice is the removing of love for one another. It is the “daily” indebtedness we have for each other. The false prophets have arisen (arms shall stand) and have scattered the sheep by taking away the love for each other. Paul summarized all of this for us:

(Acts 20:28 KJV) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Paul knew that after his departing that “grievous wolves” would enter in among us and not spare the flock. False prophets would come in….the tares were sown among the wheat while “men slept.”

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Even among ourselves there would be men who would arise and “speak perverse things”…..in other words, they would distort the bible for their own gain.

30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

And here is the whole focus of what the wolves would do….they would COVET the flock’s silver, gold and apparel….worldly things. They would not spare the flock from their covetousness. Paul set forth the example of what a true leader over the flock is like….to labor to minister to those that are with them with his own hands and to NOT covet another man’s silver, gold or apparel.

33 I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.

As our Lord said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive”…..yet, the wolves would have it backwards. To them it is more blessed to receive worldly things than give to the flock who are in need of the Truth.

35 I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

The “abomination of desolation” is COVETOUSNESS in the church. It is a continual lust for money and worldly things…worldly glory for themselves (the false prophets.) To be greedy for unjust gain is an “abomination.” It is something that God abhors:

(Psa 10:3 KJV) For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.

Coveting is idolatry….it is an idol that has been set up in the church and it desolates the church. It is idolatry:

(Col 3:5 KJV) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

(Eph 5:5 KJV) For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

The false prophets have not spared the flock through their covetous words and practices. They use “flattering” words to deceive the poor of the flock….they use them as a “cloak of covetousness:”

(1 Th 2:5 KJV) For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness; God is witness:

Again, in Daniel, we see those who do “wickedly against the covenant” are corrupted by “flatteries.” The “covenant” is the covenant to love God and love one another…the brotherly covenant.

(Dan 11:32 KJV) And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

The false prophets (wolves) use flattering words to deceive….words straight out of the bible.

(Dan 11:34 KJV) Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.

The kingdom has been sown with tares among the wheat. It was obtained by “flatteries:”

(Dan 11:21 KJV) And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

Those who are in charge of feeding the church of God should be those who fear God….who are men of truth and hate covetousness:

(Exo 18:21 KJV) Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

Covetousness is prevalent in the church today and it has brought “desolation”….many in the church lie in ruin because of its riches and increase of goods:

(Rev 3:17 KJV) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

But our Lord comes with the knowledge so that we may see our condition….our “desolation” that the false prophets have wrought upon us. The desolators (false prophets) have set up covetousness (the abomination of desolation) in the holy place where it should not be.

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Our Lord comes with the eternal gospel to set us free from the “grave” that the false prophets have kept us in. They have swallowed up us alive “as the grave”…as those who go down into the pit:

(Prov 1:11 KJV) If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.

Those who are greedy of gain in the church will have their lives taken away….whoever seeks to save his life shall lose it.

19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

Our Lord comes with the knowledge…the gospel of the kingdom…the keys of “death” and “hell”… so that we may understand the condition we lie in. We may awaken and see with our eyes the “abomination of desolation” in the place it should not be.

(Mat 24:14 KJV) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

It is all about having our eyes opened to understanding….when we shall “see” (having the knowledge) the abomination standing in the holy place….we are to UNDERSTAND. The abomination is prevalent in the church already…it takes the knowledge of God to “see” the tares…to discern our right from our left hand….to discern the unclean from the clean.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Then those who are in “Judaea”….which is a veiled reference to being in Christ Jesus the Lion of the tribe of Judah….are to “flee into the mountains:”

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Fleeing to the mountains is a veiled reference to fleeing to God…..to His wisdom…to His righteousness. We are to trust in God:

(Psa 125:2 KJV) As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

(Psa 36:6 KJV) Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

And continuing in Matthew, we are to lose our lives to save them. Remember Lot’s wife….not to return to those things we leave behind. We are to leave behind our covetous thoughts and ways….all those things that we worked after that were motivated by the lust for things…vain glory. We are to leave the “abomination of desolation” for true Life in God.

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

We are to lose those “religious things”….grand church buildings, grand ministries, wonderful works, etc…. we have worked for in our religious lives that were really things of Babylon.

(Luke 17:31 KJV) In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

We are to flee these things…flee from idolatry which is covetousness….we are to flee from the love of money which is so prevalent in the church today. We are to flee to the mountains of God….His righteousness.

(1 Tim 6:10 KJV) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

And as we flee, we are to beware of the false prophets words…their words of vanity:

(2 Pet 2:18 KJV) For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

For if through the full knowledge of the Lord we escape the abomination and are entangled again, our latter end is worse than the beginning….because our God has given us the knowledge to flee to the mountains.

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

Remember Lot’s wife. We are to leave all those things behind…let us not return to the field to get our cloaks of deceit….the garments stained with the flesh…the covetous, religious works that we cover ourselves with…..the “Babylonish garment:”

(Josh 7:21 KJV) When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

(Jude 1:23 KJV) And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Good warnings Wheeler
we are in a time , an hour , when these things are very pertinent

I looked up and found these that may be why the tail was able to pull down the 1/3 of the stars
from heaven with lies these are the false prophets
to me as I understand it,, a serpent is a type of cunning wisdom that is above or below

when looking up in strongs greek ophis
1) snake, serpent
2) with the ancients, the serpent was an emblem of cunning and wisdom.

The serpent who deceived Eve was regarded by the Jews as the devil.

serpent this is very through in this link ...
Serpent (International Standard Bible Encyclopedia) :: Bible Tools

The ancient and honourable, he [is] the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he [is] the tail

Deu 28:13And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail;

and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath;

if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God,

which I command thee this day, to observe and to do [them]:

Rev 12:4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven,

and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before

the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

the man child the first born of its kind

these to me are the birthing sons of God coming fourth though

Jesus Christ because they are holy ones who keep the commadments of God

having the testimony of Jesus Christ Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman,

and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the

commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

there is more Isaiah 9 ; 16 16 For the leaders of this people cause [them] to err;

and [they that are] led of them [are] destroyed. Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men,

neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one [is] an hypocrite and an evildoer,

and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away,

but his hand [is] stretched out still. For wickedness burneth as the fire:

it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest,

and they shall mount up [like] the lifting up of smoke

Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened,

and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.

Mar 13:12Now the brother shall betray the brother to death,

and the father the son; and children shall rise up against [their] parents,

and shall cause them to be put to death.
Jesus warns what is happening because lawlessness abounds and love grows cold ...
but also teaches us what we are to do if we are His disciples / students ...

Luk 17:3Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him;
and if he repent, forgive him.And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day,

and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Riches are gained by many church leaders….they have their hearts set upon them. They use the Scriptures as a means to gather and heap treasures to themselves….they defraud the poor of the flock by their words. But the Lord rebukes those He loves….they are offered redemption if they give up their covetous thoughts and practices for the kingdom of heaven…for the Truth. They are to deny their lives to save them….for the “ransom of a man’s life are his riches:”

(Prov 13:8 KJV) The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

The “poor heareth not rebuke”….they are the poor in spirit and theirs is the kingdom of heaven:

(Mat 5:3 KJV) Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The poor in spirit are those who are defrauded and yet are not given to covetousness.

(James 5:4 KJV) Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

(James 5:6 KJV) Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

(Jer 22:17 KJV) But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.

The “brother of low degree” will be exalted while the rich shall fade away in his ways:

(James 1:9 KJV) Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

The “poor” are those who are rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom:

(James 2:5 KJV) Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

We are to “buy the Truth and sell it not”…..the revealed Truth of God…His wisdom, instruction and understanding. We are to sell all that we have for the Truth….we are to get rid of our covetous ways and practices. We are to cease selling in the temple…making merchandise of the flock.

(Prov 23:23 KJV) Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
Jesus gave us parables of this….to buy the Truth and sell all those things that have hindered us from His wisdom and knowledge. When a man finds the Truth of the kingdom of heaven, he is to sell all that he has and buy that field….to buy the Truth. The kingdom of heaven is the treasure. We are to seek His kingdom first and not run after worldly things….building magnificent church buildings, increasing the numbers, seeking wealth, selling books and merchandise, making merchandise of the flock, etc ,etc , etc.

(Mat 13:44 KJV) Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Again, the merchant man is to sell all that he has and buy the Truth….the “goodly pearl” of the kingdom of heaven.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

We are to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness:

(Mat 6:33 KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Coveting after money and things of this world have produced acts of “violence” among the brothers….the daily sacrifice has ceased…..the commandment to love one another is no longer heeded because of covetousness. The church has been made desolate by the “overspreading of abominations” by the desolators…those who are greedy for unjust gain.

(Dan 9:27 KJV) And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The Hebrew word for “overspreading” is “kanaph” which means “wing, extremity, pinnacle.” Riches are the things that make themselves “wings”….. wing of abominations:

(Prov 23:4 KJV) Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

Riches will fly away as an eagle toward heaven….the rich man will fade away in his ways…for it is God’s will. Covetousness has a measure to fill….an extremity that God allows it to come up to and then all those things will be burned…..Babylon and her riches will be burned. The measure of Babylon’s covetousness shall be reached and she will burn:

(Jer 51:13 KJV) O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.

The riches will testify against those who refuse the Truth of God for their own covetous ways and practices….it shall eat their “flesh as it were fire”…..extreme wickedness and plagues:

(James 5:3 KJV) Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

They shall perish in their own corruption. The things of this world that they understand such as wealth will be their downfall:

(2 Pet 2:12 KJV) But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

Those that refuse God’s Truth when He reveals it will perish in their own iniquity….their ways that they will seek to keep will destroy their lives….their shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Their will be much wickedness in their lives….much hatefulness…much conflict….NO PEACE….in their lives because they refused to love the Truth when it comes and be saved. Like Sodom and Gomorrah, they will be consumed in the iniquity of the city. We are to flee out of Babylon to save our lives and run to the mountains of God….His righteousness….His wisdom…His knowledge.

(Gen 19:15 KJV) And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

The angels message applies to us today also…we are to “escape for thy life” and not look behind us…we are to escape to the mountain of God:

(Gen 19:17 KJV) And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

For God’s wisdom will call out to them…but they will refuse her…they will not regard her. They will not receive the love of the Truth which is given to them to be saved. Let us heed wisdom….as we see in Proverbs:

(Prov 1:24 KJV) Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

They will set “at nought” all her counsel and reproof. The Lord rebukes and chastens those whom He loves….let us heed His rebuke and accept correction from our ways and thoughts.

25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

When those refuse to love the Truth when it comes, then fear and desolation comes. The desolators of the church themselves will suffer desolation.

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

Distress and anguish shall come on those who do not listen to God’s wisdom and cease from their own wisdom. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. They shall seek His wisdom when destruction comes upon them but the door shall be shut for them…they will have rejected their own mercy.

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

The calamity that comes will be because they hated His revealed knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord…they despised His reproof…His counsel that saves us.

29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

They will perish in their own corruption…their own ways will burn. They will be filled with all unrighteousness.

31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

The “prosperity of fools” shall destroy them:

32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

But those who hear the knowledge and wisdom of God and do the Truth will dwell safely:

33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Those who heed wisdom are not to fear when the desolation of the desolators comes. There will be “sudden fear” for the wicked:

(Prov 3:25 KJV) Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

In Luke, we see the day of vengeance…the day of wrath upon Babylon. It is called “Jerusalem” because of the “peace and safety” they will be preaching as the desolation comes near to the desolators themselves:

(Luke 21:20 KJV) And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

They will be preaching “peace and safety” as sudden destruction comes upon them….they will be preaching “Jerusalem”….meaning “city of peace.”

(1 Th 5:3 KJV) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

The city is anything but peace….it is a city of violence…. lies and robbery. They will cease not to plunder.

(Nahum 3:1 KJV) Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;

There shall be “great distress in the land” and wrath upon the people of disobedience…upon those who refuse the love of the Truth so that they may be saved.

(Luke 21:23 KJV) But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

Their message will be “peace, peace” when there is no peace in their covetous ways. There will be no peace for the wicked because they did not retain God in their “knowledge”…. “epignosis”….full discernment. He will give them over to a “reprobate mind” to be filled with all unrighteousness….the “fire”…where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth…great tribulation and anguish…much wickedness and the plagues that come with it.

(Rom 1:28 KJV) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

They will be called “reprobate silver” because the Lord will have rejected them….because they refused His counsel and wisdom to depart from their covetous ways and thoughts. So they will perish in their ways and thoughts…their ways will not save them.

(Jer 6:30 KJV) Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.

Wickedness burns as a fire:

(Isa 9:18 KJV) For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.

We are to depart from Babylon and flee to the mountains of God. Let us not be devoured in the “iniquity of the city.” Let us be like Lot and leave the city…not looking back as she “burns” and the smoke of her torment rises up.

(Rev 18:4 KJV) And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

very stong admonishment, the Lord warns , to exhort us all

the mountains of God in Zechariah 14 ?
Zechariah 14

1Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 9And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

thought of this for the last verse you wrote there above Wheeler Rev 18:2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Could Babylon be fallen already? It could be....that is why we must leave her so as not to be caught up in her sins and plagues. She may already be on fire....we are to pull others from the "fire" hating the clothing stained with the flesh.....the earthly, covetous mind.

The Lord will give us His revealed Truth…..the revelation. He will open up the Scriptures to our understanding so that we may receive knowledge and instruction on how to correct ourselves from our deeds….to finally be of one mind and one mouth in Christ Jesus. We are to receive the love of the Truth when it comes….we are to heed the voice of the archangel when He speaks. His voice instructs us on how to correct ourselves…to be saved…to escape Babylon….to flee from the wrath of God to come. We are to beware and obey the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ because he speaks the Word of God in the Light of God’s knowledge as opposed to the understanding of the false prophets who speak from the imagination of their own hearts. The Lord is the Truth, the Way and the Life…..He is the Light that shines in the darkness. We are to hear His voice:

(Exo 23:20 KJV) Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

When we hear His voice, we are to open the door….we are to receive His word with joy and He will give us the knowledge and wisdom of the kingdom of God and be saved from the wrath to come.

(Rev 3:20 KJV) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

But, there will be those who will not receive the love of the Truth and be saved. They will be preaching “peace and safety” at the sounding of the alarm….of the trumpet….at the revealing of the Truth of God. The Light will shine in the darkness but there will be men who will love darkness rather than the Light of Christ…His knowledge and instruction. They will love their evil, covetous deeds and refuse the Light….the revealed Truth…..and that is the condemnation. But there is mercy and forgiveness to those who renounce their evil deeds for the Truth….they give up making merchandise of the people of God…their covetous thoughts and ways for the Truth of God. They “sell all they have” for the Truth of God and their deeds are “wrought in God.”

(John 3:19 KJV) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

But there will be those who will resist the Truth when it comes and will preach “peace and safety” to their followers. They will turn their ears from the Truth. They will prefer to “sleep” in the darkness rather than awaken to the Light and will prefer to be drunk with the wine of Babylon and her deeds instead of being sober and preparing ourselves….putting on the breastplate of faith and the hope of salvation.

(1 Th 5:3 KJV) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Although they will hear the words of the prophecy of the book, they will turn their ears from its message. They will add to these things and diminish the Truth….take away…resist it:

(Rev 22:18 KJV) For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

And as it says in the “law” which really means “instruction,” we are not to add to nor diminish from the Word of God….from His voice….the voice of the archangel… that instructs us into the way of Truth and Life at the end of this age….which I’m convince we are in.

(Deu 12:32 KJV) What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

(Deu 4:2 KJV) Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

And again, we are not to add to or diminish His Word. The “peace and safety” message will be the adding and diminishing of His instruction by false prophets. They will “add” drunkenness to thirst by saying they will have “peace” to continue to walk after their evil deed…in the imagination of their own hearts. They will diminish the Truth…they will resist the Truth…they will be destitute of the Truth….men of corrupt minds.

(Deu 29:19 KJV) And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
21 And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
22 So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;

The “lake of fire”….the wrath of God will come upon all those who turn their ears from the Way of the Truth.

23 And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

And again, in Jeremiah, we see the same message. We are not to listen to the false prophets who preach “peace and safety” to those who will “despise” the revealed Truth of God:

(Jer 23:16 KJV) Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?
19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

We are in the “latter days” and we will consider it “perfectly” ….for He gives us His knowledge so that we may understand these things.

20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

If only the false prophets would stand in His counsel…His instruction…they would not be preaching “peace and safety” but would turn their followers from their evil ways and the evil of their deeds. The false prophets will add drunkenness to thirst for their followers.

22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

But many will follow the counsel of the false prophets…they will follow after their “pernicious ways” and refuse the Way of Truth….the Lord who bought them.

(2 Pet 2:1 KJV) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

For if they were watching for the Lord and listening for His voice instead of being asleep and drunk with the wine of Babylon…riches, they would have instructed their followers with His instruction and not their own “damnable heresies.” They should stand in the counsel of God and cause their followers to hear His voice to turn from their evil deeds and ways:

(Mat 24:43 KJV) But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The “law” is for those who transgress. It is the INSTRUCTION on how to correct our sins. Not the physical instruction as we see with the fleshly mind…but the spiritual instruction. The Hebrew word for “law” is “towrah”….which means “instruction.” Our Lord will give us the “instruction” on how to correct ourselves….so that we may purify ourselves for Him. Whoever disregards the “instruction” sins.
(1 John 3:2 KJV) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

We are to confess our sins…the sins committed as a church….the sins of coveting that produce hatred among the brothers and sisters of Christ. Our evil deeds have made us stumble. The Lord gives us the Truth so that we may confess our sins and to become pure….to come to the Light and have our deeds “wrought in God.” To be forgiven. But, if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the Truth is not in us:

(1 John 1:8 KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Jesus has foretold to us of things that would happen in these last days….when many false prophets and false Christs (saying they are anointed with the Truth) arise to show great signs and wonders. I believe we are living in these very times. Their signs and lying wonders are powerful in order to seduce.

(Mat 24:24 KJV) For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.

Jesus was referring to Deuteronomy 13 in order for us to understand the temptation that comes upon all of those in the church. False prophets shall ARISE and give us great “signs and wonders:”

(Deu 13:1 KJV) If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

The purpose of these false prophets is to prove that we, the church, will love the Lord our God with all our hearts and souls in the face of great signs and wonders that are preformed by these false prophets.

3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

The end of these false prophets is destruction….they will perish in their own corruption…drowning in ever increasing wickedness….given over to a reprobate mind to be filled with all unrighteousness.

5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

For they will “wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived:”

(2 Tim 3:13 KJV) But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

The Lord comes to open up the Scriptures for us so that we may depart from evil. When we hear His Word of Truth, we are to receive it with joy…we are to receive the love of the Truth and be saved from evil men and their erroneous teachings. The false prophets do the working of Satan…to perform their power, signs and lying wonders:

(2 Th 2:9 KJV) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

The false prophets deceive those who have no love for the revealed Truth…who hate the Light of Christ.

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

God sends a “strong delusion that they should believe a lie”….great signs and wonders to snare those who hate the revealed Truth.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The “signs and wonders” of the false prophets are the increase in riches….a powerful, deceitful thing that catches many. We see many today in the church going after “increase”…. That is how we know we are living in perilous times…in the time of trial…to see if we love God with all our hearts and souls. Today, many are going after wealth and increase. They covet bigger churches…they covet bigger numbers of people being caught into their nets…they covet for their “silver, gold and apparel” of those they catch in their evil nets. Great signs and wonders…..they think that gain is a sign of their godliness…and many go after them thinking the same.

(1 Tim 6:5 KJV) Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

And in Daniel, we see the great signs and wonders that they do…. The INCREASE of earthly glory…..the “gain:”

(Dan 11:39 KJV) Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

The “wonders” of those who prosper in the world and increase of riches think it is a “sign” that they are godly…..but they are really ungodly. Having a big church building and lots of church growth with lots of money coming in on the collection plates are not signs of being godly.

(Psa 73:12 KJV) Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

If riches increase, we are not to set our hearts upon them…they will lead us away from the love of God and His Truth. We are to trust in God and not in our church deeds that produce wealth….a sign and wonder.

(Psa 62:10 KJV) Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

We are to know the end of these things…the rich in the kingdom will not take the glory of his house with him…his increase is limited. How hard it is for the rich to enter into the kingdom of heaven…for riches are the deceitful signs and wonders…a powerful delusion.

(Psa 49:16 KJV) Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

Men are easily over-awed by increase of wealth and goods….what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination.

18 Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.
19 He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.
20 Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.

The church who has been deceived by these things does not realize the poor condition they are really in…because they think that the riches and increase of their goods are a sign of their godliness…. “they have need of nothing.”

(Rev 3:17 KJV) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Riches are deceitful signs and wonders…those that trust in lying wonders become great and rich…a powerful delusion that is a “cage.”

(Jer 5:27 KJV) As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

The false prophets have seen vanity and do divine lies…deceiving for dishonest gain…..they say “thus saith the Lord God” when He had not spoken.

(Ezek 22:27 KJV) Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.
28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.
29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

We are to receive the love of the revealed Truth that will save us. We are to “do” the Truth….we are to cast away all those works of darkness for the Light of Christ. Let us not heed the false prophets who try to allure those who have escaped from their pollution with deceit…with riches and increase…with lying signs and wonders. For those who hear the Word of Truth in these last days are to escape those who live in error….Babylon. Let us not be like those who receive the Truth “among the thorns”....the false prophets. Because those who are among the false prophets will listen to their deceitful words…they will observe their signs and wonders of increased wealth. Riches are deceitful…they keep our focus on this world and away from being fruitful with the revealed Word of God….where there are true riches and honor.

(Mark 4:18 KJV) And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Those that hear the Word and yet listen to the “great swelling words of vanity” of the false prophets and are those who have it sown among the thorns and return back to worldly things….to be servants of corruption…to return to the mire:

(2 Pet 2:18 KJV) For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

The “knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” is the full knowledge of the Word of God…..it is the sown seed of the Word in the heart that can produce fruit…it is the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven given to us….it is the “every” Word of God….it is the supper of the Lord…it is the marriage supper of the Lamb we are waiting for….it the True Sayings of God. It is the Word that is sown in these last days that can save us from the coming wrath of God…it is the knowledge and understanding by which we can escape from those who live in error. And yet, if we listen to the false prophets and are awed by their increase of wealth (signs and wonders), we will become barren…unfruitful. It would have been better not knowing the revealed Way of Truth than to know it and turn from it for the deceitfulness of riches….the dog turns to his vomit again…the sow that was washed goes back to her wallowing in the mire.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Hi Wheeler ,
after reading your last post and than reading Deut 13 and Deut 7 the cursed thing the abomination and knowing we are the temple of the Living God and God shall destroy that man who defiles it
seems to be by idols ! the last of this chapter has me thinking
we can become the cursed thing ....in Gods holy place where His Spirit dwells , this is most serious a matter , it has me awakened and sober! 1Cr 3:17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.

speaking of the Body of Christ , this Temple not made with Hands but Gods Spirit &Truth
as we are to worship Him in and be holy as He is holy ......

9Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
10And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
11Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
12Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
13And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
14Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.
15And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
16And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.
17If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?
18Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;
19The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.
20Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.
21Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
22And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
23But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.
24And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.
25The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therin: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God. 26Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house,

lest thou be a cursed thing like it:

but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.
