I assume it was because of my nose.

Oh well, no one says that anymore. Even though my nose is pretty much the same, as it's always been.

Apparently my great great grandmother was a famous silent movie actress, but so far no one in the family has been able to give a name. Eh, would be cool if it is true, but how could you forget her name? My Mom claims my extended family knows the name, but so far she hasn't asked them.

It is interested to note, that some of my distant relatives lived in Canada, before coming to the US.

I'm Cherokee on my mom's side. Her maiden name was Cogburn and they originated from Oklahoma City. I've been trying to find out my family history but apparently it's difficult to find much. On my dad's side we are either Irish or Scottish. I always thought Irish then in the past few years people have been saying I might be Scottish

When I was born, I had blonde hair, then it turned red, then it turned black, and now it is a medium brown. I have no brains and I have no soul.

I was blonde as a baby as well, glad I grew out of that. My hair is gradually turning black, just like my father's hair.

Wow, I had no idea so many people had Native American in them.

The Cherokee in me is from my Dad's mother's side. I think a lot of people have Native American in them, they just don't know it. It might be just a little, but it's still there. ...You would never in a million years think that I had Cherokee in me because of my reddish hair, fair skin and blue eyes. I guess the German pulled through above anything else, lol.

- I have had 8 teeth removed (4 wisdom teeth and 4 bicuspids for orthodontics/braces).

- My foot got ran over by a car when I was 18 and I was wearing ballerina flats. It didn't hurt that badly, but it left tire marks on my foot for a long while after. :-(

- My mother's family traces back about 500 years in the U.S. They were the Spaniards who settled in the Southwest. There is a book on my mother's family in the big Morman library, who was written by my Morman aunt. She built a lot of her research off of the findings of Fray Chavez, the famous New Mexican genealogist.

That's so interesting about your ancestry! There's a book written on my family (my Dad's side) as well. I need to get a copy of it. I'm not sure if I've traced a line of my family as far back as a five hundred years in the U.S. though. Maybe one or two, but I think most of them were still in Europe then, but on the verge of immigration.
