K, hers a question, and I wonder what everyone else would think. They say we must put our games in the "Rec Room" so what happens if we reopen some of our fav. games there and title them "Fab 40's XXX" ?

I asked this question in the 'forum poll' thread, and it didn't get answered. I think that would be a good idea!

So, you are posting from work, then? I can't do that.
I work by myself @ a local hospital in the Power Distribution plant, so most of the time all I have to do is take readings from the equipment every 2 hrs.

I copied the start and last post from several of the threads which were closed, I figured after they reopen the forum I'll post the in the Rec Room with the prefix to the name. Worse that could happen is they would tell me we couldn't restrict admittance, but there are ways around that. In the RPG section you CAN restrict admittance.

I've looked into joining several of the RPG's and they require that you get permission to join in their game.

I'm impressed at how fast this thread has grown, I only opened it yesterday, and we are already on page 5. Hard to believe there are already 200 posts. SEE people do just want to sit around and chat about NOTHING! why do we have to bee serious?? I think thatif they went "serious" threads they should open ones that are specifically "SERIOUS"!

it was one of those secular things, I guess you had to be one to understand. Thank GOD I'm not one any more.:amen:

Kinda like Friends. It was about 6 people, who kept trading partners, sleeping with each other, etc. I never got off on that one, either.

My mother, who's a nurse, can watch all the real hospital shows, the real world ER kind of things you see on A&E, w/o batting an eye (unless it involves kids). Tell her about a friend's dog or cat being in the vet hospital and she's in tears. She will change the channel on nature shows if she thinks the zebra is about to be taken down by the lion . . . don't blame her, but w/what she deals w/as a nurse, you'd think she'd be more sympathetic on that front.

I was watching Animal Rescues the other night, and there was a cat who had collided with a cactus. You couldn't even tell this was a cat!!! There were over 1000 cactus needles in the poor thing! The rescue person had to very carefully pick the cat up and place her on a board to take her to the Veterinary ER. She was in so much pain!!! I'm glad I was alone!!! I just squalled!!! They had to sedate her, and it took them over two hours to take the needles out!

I know what you mean Mamabear...the storie are really very touching.

The discovery channel, home and garden,TLC, and the life channels are the only ones I watch any more. Oh and one soap opera (ya I know  ) that I watch is the young and useless...oops, I mean the young and restless. The funny thing is you can miss it for a whole year and totally catch up in a week.

Sounds like a scene I saw on TV years ago. There was a line on Golden Girls, where one character said she hadn't read Mary Worth (or some other daily serial comic) in years. Another character said, 'oh, let me catch you up on the story. Later that day . . . ' ^_^
