HEY MMXII..how are you today? Thanks for the fresh coffee...yum. I go get the crown on my tooth today! YAHOO! Joy oh joy! 9:20, just what I want to be doing..but glad it will be done. Then I don't go to the dentist again till July for a cleaning!

*MN John returns and fills the 8-slice toaster with frosted cherry Pop Tarts for everybody.

On occasoin, if my sweet tooth acts up, I will eat a S'mores Pop Tart or a Cinnamon sugar one, but that is about it...I have looked at and served enough of them for a lifetime...ugh!
After my toaster got stolen with all my appliances (in my car), I just never got another one, so I tell my kids, sorry; no toaster!! (Am I a meanie, or what?)

You're not a meanie!! You are a Mom and Mom's have to say no sometimes. For years, I mean the last 12 years, my kids heard no for so many things. I just pray they make good decisions and not make mistakes like I did and have to live like we've had to.

Yep, I was so mean!!! When the kids were little (and the step daughters came during the summers) they called me Sgt Mom!!!

so far I am lucky! My daughter thinks I am the best thing since sliced bread! LOL..she is 14..so I say to her..'can I have that in writing so when you are 16 and yelling you hate me, I have proof you did love me once"! LOL She keeps insisting nothing will change in 2 years! Hm....hope not! LOL

Jp, I hope she never changes either. My girls became mentally insane at the age of 18. It was like something very strange inhabited their bodies. I'd look at them and think...who are these people.

<sigh> i hear ya! My daughter has told me she hated me in the past. I think it was when she was having a melt down about going to biology and dissecting a frog!

ha, who can blame her?? LOL about the frog I mean! Even my 16 year old son will still hug me and tell me he loves me before he goes to school..before bed...he is a good kid. I think it is cause I have always been here for them..THANK God. Only a blessing from God. Who knows..or they haven't hit that bad hormone thing yet!

I haven't figured that one out, either!!

She had a lot of problem growing up, with anxiety and depression. But, she knew I was always in her corner, unlike her other parent!!
