Like a car of the same make only in different shades. The character of the human race (which is diverse in skin colors) is very important
Because we are all human and it is the only race.I don't know. Not enough information. What makes a race prime?
Then why go back to the old ways where some races were not considered human or equal? Why reverse the gains made. Why reject the work of MLK who said character was more important than race? Actually if you think about it, if the white or Asian people had been dragged into the black culture, who would have been the master of the three (simply because they had built their own culture and others were unwillingly dragged into it) Should the whites or Asians hundreds of years later then lay claim to the black culture?) What's wrong with being human?Race is a social construct, racism is a system borne out of white supremacy in the United States. Who is considered white and black is based on a racist foundation and it was how the country operated since its inception. Much of that structure was dismantled in the 20th century, but there are still vestiges that need ro be excised.

Why take the human race and constantly tell people they are lesser than the whole. For what purpose do people want to divide? I remember when there was complaints when some were not treated equally. They then were considered human. Now the trend is to convince everyone they are separate again. Right back to the original evil. Only the Adversary and it's kind benefits.
I agree. But I am confused by the point of this thread.Because we are all human and it is the only race.
Then why speak of supremacy? Character or culture is not meaningless, but seeing ourselves as anything less than human is.Who said anything about viewing people as lesser than? My only contention was with the proposition that race is meaningless. That has not been something that is demonstrated and admitting to differences in people is not tantamount to denigration. Why should I consider my own heritage as being meaningless? The European mutt that I am?
The point is we are all human and not to be split into politically useful groups.I agree. But I am confused by the point of this thread.

Need people be reminded they were called losers in school? (and culture is not related to the other examples, but accepted wherever one goes IF the politics are left out. Culture is not personal identity.)Why should we consider that inheritance, biological or cultural, meaningless?

Whose speaking of supremacy? All I am pointing out is that there is meaning to our racial or ethnic identity. In us is the culmination of everyone who came before us. Why should we consider that inheritance, biological or cultural, meaningless? It's like telling a Greek or Ethiopian that their Greekness or Ethiopic ethnos mean nothing.
Whose speaking of supremacy?
Can you give an example? In what context? Race could be more important depending on the situation.
Imagine the surprise of kids that grew up playing together, only to find when they get to school they are supposed to see each other as the enemy. Must be especially tough on kids of mixed marriages. Suddenly one parent is the bad guy.Moving forward is the only option.
Can you give an example?
