Rabbits do "chew the cud".

Read my post carefully, then read the Hebrew etymology for yourself.
 doesn't really give much away. Is there some deep, hidden meaning?

Perhaps you should do the reading yourself, then come back and tell us all about it. I'll wait......

Doesn't seem to have worked out so well.
RNL gets motor information from the gut? Nope...

My amusement activities aren't my 'work'. My 'masterpiece' in regard to human biology is myself of course. People my age are dying like flies around me and I'm still climbing trees. :D Another acquaintence just bit the dust at age 73 from throat cancer, from a lifetime of smoking (smoking is bad for you).

Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

I also direct you to the op, especially the title, paying special attention to the punctuation.
From your link:

"to bring up the cud (i.e. ruminate)"

And:

Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

Nothing there about 'passing the cud out through the anus'... Lots there about 'bringing up' the cud.

But I get your desperation and inability to admit error.

I think it is sad and grotesque, but I get it.

Amazing how the egocentric evangelical will engage in such intellectual autoflagellation rather than just admit that ancient numerologists in the middle east didn't know much about biology.

The purpose is the same, to further digest fibrous vegetation, thus the "quotes".

That doesn't matter. The point is, as has been made clear several times now, that cecotropes and cud are different things. The etymology of the hebrew word indicates they thought rabbits ruminate rather than defecate. They were wrong, you are wrong.

I refer you to the op, especially the title.

And your point is?

Oh, do you think that just because someone posts a claim as a thread title then it makes the claim true?

Do you think that if two things serve the same purpose then the two things are identical?

Just because what rabbits do serves to give their food a second trip through the digestive system does not mean it is the same thing. The process is very very different, and yet you pick and choose what you want to pay attention to and expect others to ignore the same things you ignore just because they are inconvenient to you.

Do you understand the various uses of quotation marks?

Sorry, miscommunication.

Nonetheless, you still have not shown that science claims rabbits chew the cud. And you never will, because science has never made that claim.

Of course. They say it's 'kinda sorta' like it though, which was the point of my op.

So precious how much latitude you give yourself when "supporting" middle eastern numerologist lore.
