• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I was thining to myself the other day
and i was wondering they say god knows everything that will happen and everything you will do before you know it
then why is he mad when you do it
For example If he knew that i would kill someone when i am 45 years old amd i do it
why would he be upset when he knew i would do that before i did
so its like everything is predetermined already

yes and no. You have full free will to do what you will. God wants it no other way. If He wanted it to be fate He would make you be the way He wanted you to be. understand?

But fi He did that then you would never come to Him of your own free will because you wanted to. That is love. The other way is not.

and Yes God knows what you will do before you do it. why? Because He is outside of time. He can be back at the day you were born and also at the day you die and also at now. all right now to us.

The important thing is that He dearly wants you to love Him as he loves you more than you could ever imagine. The Bible says He sings and dances when He thinks about you!

God wants you to choose Him. No, you can not surpass His ultimate will, because all of that is already planned out. but what you do before you get there is up to you. Yes, He knows what you are going to do before you do it. But He does it, because He wants you to choose to love Him by trying to obey and love Him. God will only tell You the right thing to do. Bless you, Shara:angel:

The fact that God knows what you are going to do doesn't mean that you don't have a choice.
I could offer my son a chocolate bar or a salad. Because I know him, I know without any doubt that he will choose the chocolate. But, that doesn't mean that he isn't free to choose the salad.
If the Bible is right, God knows you a lot better than I know my son, so it would be possile for him to know what you will do without interfering in your free will.

You're implying that God gets angry because he feels suprised or disappointed. Actually he's just naturally responding to your sin with it's appropriate response. It doesn't mean he's necessarily rejecting you personally, but he will deal with you and it appropriately. If he didn't he wouldn't be just or loving. (Assuming you don't repent.) (Genuinely.)

There are Christians who have seriously challenged the "God already knows it all" view which has been part of the teaching on God's omniscience and predestination. But that change puts a somewhat different perspective on your question.
