Well, I had lunch with my parents and grandparents, which was nice, and the next day I went to see a play called Mother Courage by Bertold Brecht. It was a good play but the acting wasn't perfect. The main character had a really annoying voice

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Do you often go see plays?

 

[Pogue]

Not that often actually, but I live (or used to live, I suppose) near quite a big theatre, so lots of well-known plays come to it. I guess I should go more often, but I like films just as much.

Cool I think I like films more... Have you seen any good films lately?

 

[Pogue]

I saw a film called Snowcake with Alan Rickman. It's not very well-known but it was good, funny and sad at the same time.

I have to tidy my room as it's a complete mess

My room is sometimes like that too... Do you often tidy your room?

Hardly ever, I've always been very messy, but it's quite embaressing when somebody comes over and sees just how messy you are
I have to write an essay in Dutch!

The essay is about myself, but I can't think of much to write. I've more or less finished it now though.
I do need my privacy, it's true. The worst thing is having showers and running through the corridor dressed only in a towel. I wish I had my own shower!

The leaves have only just begun to change, which is quite odd as usually they start much earlier. I have indeed jumped into a pile of leaves, it's fun. I've never used a leaf blower, only a rake, but I think I'd like to. I have also never pressed leaves between wax paper. Flowers, but never leaves. My favourite thing about fall (or autumn, as we call it here) is probably the colours of the trees, and the way it's not too cold to go out, but chilly enough so that you can have coffee or hot chocolate and it warms you up

We just had to write anything about ourselves- what we study, where we live, etc, but for a whole essay! It was quite difficult.

How long was the essay you wrote?

Aww Why wasn't your mom happy?

The essay was about 150 words, not too long, especially compared to the 10 page essays we have to do in philosophy.
I think my mother's missing me too. I feel happier today though, things always look better the next day.

That's not very long. But the philosophy essays are very long. Do you have to write many of them? Are they interesting?

I haven't had to write any of them yet, but worse, I have to do a presentation to the class- argh! I have to write a couple of essays in German though.

That's scary! I don't like doing presentations, they scare me I hope you do well on it.
