Questions and observations about Genesis 9-11

Were the East and South East Asians (Chinese, Japnese, Koreans, and Filippinos) descendants of Japeth? I believe that there are three races: Japhetites, Hamites, and Shemites. There are many groups that descend from each from them.

However, there was a curse placed on Canaan instead of Ham himself. Why? Was Canaan a West Asian from Turkey or Persia? What so-called "race" was Canaan? As a New Worlder, I am curious about the Old World and how people in the Old World see others. In America, Asians, unlike Armeanians, Turks, Georgians, or Persians, are listed as a different race from those who are "white". Do the Japanese and Koreans, for instance, see themselves as similar to white people?

We've looked into this at great length, and it's hard to say honestly.

One thing that we see, is that sexual immorality early on, whether it's through Judah, or Lot, or especially this instance involving Ham, results in giants in the land that God commands Israel kills.

Canaan is the last born son of Ham, and in the instruction or law that God gives to Moses, we see that to sleep with your mother, is to uncover or see the nakedness of your father. So, since he uncovered the nakedness of his father, I believe that means that - as described in the law of God - it was a reference to Ham sleeping with Noah's wife.

This then resulted in several lines of giants being born of Canaan's line, that then later on down the road Israel had to kill.

Giants also spring out of Judah's lineage, when he sleeps (unknowingly) with his step-daughter, and also out of Lot's line, when his daughters cause him to get drunk to have sex with him. All of which God instructs Israel to kill.

The fact that Canaan is the last born of Ham, and that giants only seem to come out of situations involving sexual immorality, and that God uses the phrase to uncover or see the nakedness of your father, to mean sleeping with your father's wife, it leads me to think this is exactly what happened. A sexually immoral situation, involving Ham and his mother, that then led to giants in the land, that Israel had to wipe out.

You can track it, while you read through Numbers - Joshua, and truly, the majority of Canaan's descendants were described by Israel to be giants. Anywhere from 9-15-18 ft tall (Og of Bashan). Giants who, in comparison, made Israel seem as grasshoppers.
