"I am the Way, the Truth, the Life, and no man comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6
You have quoted John 14:6 out of context. You should always check the context of the verses. For the context of John 14:6 go to John 14:1 onwards where Jesus says In my Fathers house a various mansions, many mansions are there. If it were no so I would not have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And you know where I am going, and you know the way. Thomas asked him Lord we dont know where you are going, so how can we know the way? So Jesus says I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father but by me.
I agree with that statement Jesus was the way the truth and the life no one came to god but by him. But during his time. Every messenger in his time was the way the truth and the light. At the time of Moses, he Moses, was the way the truth and the life. At the time of Abraham, he Abraham, was the way the truth and the life and so on with all the messengers in their time.
The context is if you are following me you are following God. If you continue reading John it says but we have not seen God so Jesus says he that has seen me has seen God. Meaning if you follow my commandment you are following the commandments of God. John 14: 1 gives the context - Jesus doesnt say in MY house are many mansions he says in My fathers house are many mansions. He is not talking about himself he is talking about god. If you follow the example of Jesus you are following god. Thomas had misunderstood and was thinking of a geographical location (way) but the way was not geographical the way was following the example of Jesus. And jesus' example was not to worship him as God and in his second coming he will deny those who worship him - Matthew 7:22
Please prove that Mohammed doesnt make this claim? He is the way the truth and the life. Since he supersedes all previous messengers he is now the only way, truth, life.
What does begotten mean?
If Jesus is god then does that mean Adam is a greater God? since he had no father and no mother and was not in a womans womb for nine months and then born of child birth
Did Jesus rise from the dead on the third day? Read the bible Jesus did not fulfil the sign of Jonah. Check Mathhew 12: 30-40. The son of man was not 3 days and three nights in the heart of the earth . Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday night. So jesus was two nights and one day in the heart of the earth not three days and three nights. This proves that jesus was not crucified since Jonah was Alive in the belly of the whale and jesus said like jonah was three days and three nights so shall I .
No, moses never claimed to be the truth and light. all the people you mention before Jesus just said to follow God.. They never claimed to be the Way. Jesus is the only one who said He is the Way, the Truth and Life. I did not take it out of context, because He was asked how to get to heaven and Jesus answered. Begotten means born. Adam was created from dust. Jesus was born of a womb from Mary who had not been intimate with a man. I did not say three days and three nights. I said the third day. Matthew 27 shows 2 specific days Jesus was buried. Mark 16 says the day before the Sabbath Jesus was buried. Mark 28 says it was after the sabbath. The sabbath was not originally on Sunday see
http://www.sabbathtruth.com/sabbath_changed.asp
and it does not seem Jesus said 72 hours.. yet he was buried for 2 days and even on the third day for part of the day, when he rose:

Jesus did fulfill the prophecy by this..The third day. If it was 3 full 24-hours Paul would have said after the third day or more precisely the fourth day. Paul is not preaching another gospel nor taking liberty in interpreting the event, he is speaking according to the Scripture and the facts. Jesus never said he would rise on the fourth day..
Your claims do not prove anything that you are using to contradict the Bible. The Bible does say Jesus was crucified, and they checked by the spear in his side to make sure he was dead. Jonah did not bleed to death before before being confined to a small space. Jesus bled to death. Jesus did not say he will be alive for three days.. he said he will be buried for three days..
Matthew 12:
The Sign of Jonah
38Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, "Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you." 39He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one[e] greater than Jonah is here. 42The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.
43"When an evil[f] spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."
I have Muslim friends, who have concurred that a Muslim does not have guaranteed salvation, but instead must strive to be good in their lifetime. There are many people proclaiming so-called "truths" even today. By your logic, they are greater than Mohammed. However, here is as Jesus said about future prophets:
Matthew 7:
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity
Matthew 24: 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Mark 13:21At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ[a]!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it. 22For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the electif that were possible. 23So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.
Also Jesus' apostles foretold this as well:
2 Peter 2: 1But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought thembringing swift destruction on themselves. 2Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
1 John 4
Test the Spirits
1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
Jesus showed John information after His resurrection on Patmos about false prophets:
Revelation 16:
12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and[a] of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Revelation 19: 20And the beast was seized, and with him the (D)false prophet who (E)performed the signs (F)in his presence, by which he (G)deceived those who had received the (H)mark of the beast and those who (I)worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the (J)lake of (K)fire which burns with brimstone. 21And the rest were killed with the sword which (L)came from the mouth of Him who (M)sat on the horse, and (N)all the birds were filled with their flesh.
Jesus warns against adding to that prophecy:
Revelation:22:18 And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that persons share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.
20 He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, Yes, I am coming soon!
Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
These verses together foretell many that will "prophecy" and contradict the words of Jesus.. Mohammed is one such person. Also by saying his words supercede the Bible he adds to and removes from Revelation..
