You need to stop yelling.

What planet are you from????

Honestly.

No one has ever in years of postings accused me of yelling simply because I use bold to make my response stand out and be easier to read.

Sheeeeesh!!!!

It’s not easy, I guess, to read between the lines for some. You haven’t converses with many atheists it seems. Of course they don’t SAY they hate God. Duh. Doesn’t change the meaning of what they do say.

Jesus was admired for his ability to read between the lines.

Which Apostle said that of Him?

QUOTE="Josheb That is incorrect. All will kneel before Christ and call him Lord. There is no mention all will kneel before him and call him Savior. It is apportioned to humans to live once and then face judgment.

No, they would be dead in sin.

In other words, they are already dead when they arrive at the throne of judgment!

You apparently don't understand what the word "dead" means. In biblical terms, it means separation, specifically separation from God. We see this in the Parable of the Prodigal Son where the father describes the Prodigal as "dead." Yet the boy was very much alive, so what did that mean.

It meant separated.

Furthermore, according to verses Gen. 6:5; Isa. 53:6; Jn 3:19; and Rom. 3:10 & 23, the judgment has already been rendered. What we are really talking about when we talk abour "Judgement Day," is Sentencing Day; the day when the just response to our conduct and disposition will be meted out.

You are approaching this from the Roman Catholic standpoint of "penal substitution" and the Roman Courtroom Law. The Early Fathers of the Church saw this not as a legal issue, but as an issue of sickness and healing. God is not waiting to condemn anyone. He is waiting to heal all of us. For some, those who have spurned this offer here and now, this healing will be most unplesant, kind of like oral surgery without an anesthetic. For those of us who have struggled to overcome sin with the help of the Holy Spirit, it will be a lot less painful. And for a very few, such as the monks of Mount Athos, who are miracle-workers, it will probably be painless.

The choice of how much pain we endure in the next life is dependent upon the choices we make here. Live wickedly and get a lot of pain. Live for Christ and get little pain. Live holy and get no pain.

For those covered in the shed blood of Christ there is eternal life that has already begun in them. For those standing in their sinful flesh unadorned by Christ's blood there is destruction.

As David Bentley Hart asks in one of his blogs, why would Christ destroy His very image in the sinner? Wouldn't that be God attacking God? We bear the image of God, and the purpose of the Cross was to plunder the house of the strong man (Satan), take back that which was illegally gotten (all souls), and to restore all things. Western theology is consumed with this idea of getting even, of punishment, of hatred of the sinner.

Well, thank you St. Augustine!

Sure we do. The insanity is sin! How do you not understand that?

Let me rephrase that. In theology, those who commit sins while under the influence of insanity are not considered guilty in the same manner that someone with a sound mind is.

You got scripture for that?

Matthew 9:12 ; Mark 2:17 ; Luk 5:31

I could give you my bona fides but I see no evidence it would prompt any change in what is imagined about me and my God-given abilities.

Note that with each post you made it about the poster, not the op-relevant content of the posts. I can back up every claim I made with well-exegeted scripture sampled from the beginning to the end of scripture. Too bad we couldn't have that conversation.
When one writes words that excuse the sinners and thinks that just because the exact word “excuse” isn’t used isn’t wasn’t an excuse, how can one generously explain it? Either the write doesn’t understand that using an excuse doesn’t require saying “this is an excuse” to be one, or they are being deceptive.

When the dead great and small stand before Him in judgement, “I was dead in sin and so couldn’t response” won’t occur to anyone.

Too bad so few understand what bold and large font mean. Or you insult your reader by assuming their almost blind. Everyone else uses polite normal lettering. Why is it that you cannot? We’re not blind and you know what? Modern computers enable the reader to enlarge everything. Who do you think you’re fooling?

"Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do..."

Probably an "excuse" though right...?

Do you sit in the seat of judgment judging sinners...?

God Bless!

Jesus did not tell that to those whom he stood before in trial. He told pilot that the one who delivered him has the greater sin. He didn’t ask God to forgive those who beat him.

But no, he was not excusing them in the least. He was forgiving him enemies.

He said that to and for and about "all" as He was dying and was just about to die on the cross Dorothy...

The whole of humanity...

For that was His "hope" all along...

God Bless!

Let me show you how to respond to content like that which I just received.

.
Did you mean to have a long empty one? I have to admit that I found it quite refreshing. FL writes reams of material. Yours was a cool breeze in comparison.

All had left Him, all had betrayed Him, and all had crucified Him...

He said to and for "all"...

Even "all" of "us" today even...

Or down to today even, and in times past, "all"...

But it would be up to the Father, etc...

And whomsoever's eyes and ears the Father has/had (already) chosen to either open or close or shut, etc...

God Bless!

Show me the scripture first, OK...?

Then I'll answer...

Otherwise, forget about it, K...?

I'm not going to dig it up for you, waste of my time, K...?

God Bless!

Untrue. John and the women were there.
He said to and for "all"...

Even "all" of "us" today even...
I didn’t crucify him and neither did anyone alive.
Or down to today even, and in times past, "all"...

But it would be up to the Father, etc...

He wills that all repent and be saved. It’s up to us now.

If you really wanted you bless you’d write kinder words.

He told the jewish leaders that He was who they said and that he was coming to get them in terrible judgement. Now do you need to verse citation or do you recall it?

God bless you taking time to read the Bible

I would like you to cite the verses please, as I already have them already ready and have already looked them up, but I'm not just gonna dole them out to you either, you need to find them and cite them yourself to me, and then, and only then, I will discuss them with you, OK...?

And since I have already just looked them up, I can tell you've got a lot wrong about it/them already, and are recalling them all wrong, but maybe you'll discover that for yourself, or not, really doesn't matter to me either way...

God Bless!

Never said it would. Don't believe it will. Nothing I wrote should in any way be construed to say otherwise.
