  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm a 23 year old male and I had a girlfriend in Ohio but I had to move. I am now in my second year of college (taking courses like Anatomy, Pharmacology Math and Nutrition) and I'm just wondering are there any good places out there to meet nice women? Or at least meet new people?

I'm not looking for women at church but I do notice most of them are either married or they're like 16 or younger. In your minds where are some nice places to meet women for either relationships or just to meet people?

a coffee place, bookstore, university center (or whatever they call it where you are...place where you get your mail and stuff), grocery store, mall, movie theater...any place college people hang out. Christian women go to those places too and just may be found there :)

Pirch80 I always found that I meet girls and new people when I am not really looking specifically but just trying to do what I enjoy and have fun. What are your interests? There are lots of clubs at university which you could take part in. Also get involved in the bible study and prayer groups-I am sure there are Christian societies and clubs within a big uni like yours. Also you will find that you already have a lot in common

I do not find it easy to make friends but despite this I have made a fair number of friends in my two years at uni so far. I made mine mostly through debating club, my course and chess club. You will probably make yours through a completely different set of activities.

What do you enjoy doing? If that's a socialized activity (like rock climbing, dancing, or playing frisbee golf) you can probably meet some neat people doing what you also like to do. whee for common interests.

but honestly, they'll probably be in random places and while you're not looking :)

Same here. There are some incredibly attractive, nice girls at church, but they're either married, engaged, or dating someone. Same thing was true most of the way through college. Welcome to the club.

i think what some have already suggested are great ideas. i got involved in a college group and had been praying asking God to bring one to my attention and i met one of my best friends, Suzie, and she invited me to it at work. that was 2 years ago and have been attending ever since. i went from having no friends to having more than 60 both guys and girls. so maybe if you can find a local christian college group or singles group.
